Chapter 871 - Chapter 871

Reed insisted they had to destroy the egg sacs immediately—if they hatched, the consequences would be unimaginable. But he ran into a problem: the sacs seemed linked to some ancient energy system inside the pyramid. If they smashed them by force, would it trigger an energy explosion? And what kind of weapon could erase them completely without leaving behind a hidden risk?

While Reed was rapidly calculating a safe method, Saitama walked right up to the edge of the enormous egg pool. He looked down at the wriggling, glowing, noisy eggs, and his face clearly showed irritation.

"So it was these things making all that noise," he muttered, then did something that left Reed staring in disbelief.

He didn't use any weapon, and he didn't prepare any complicated ritual. He simply lifted his right foot, then lightly stomped the ground a few times, the way an ordinary person might casually knock mud off their shoes while walking.

Thump. Thump. Thump.

The motion was relaxed and effortless, without any "aura" at all.

Yet the instant his sole touched down, an exquisitely controlled shockwave spread out from the point of impact like ripples on water, sweeping evenly across the entire egg pool, seeping into every single sac—then even traveling through the whole underground chamber.

In the next second, a stunning sight unfolded.

In the egg pool, the hundreds of sacs that had been writhing all stopped at the exact same moment, as if someone had flipped a single, unified kill switch. The energetic glow on their surfaces went out instantly, turning dull and lifeless. Then a faint, dense chorus of cracking sounds rang out—every sac's shell sprouted evenly distributed, spiderweb-like fractures.

There was no explosion. No energy leak. Not even viscera splattering everywhere. The sand-croc embryo inside each sac had already had its life completely shattered the moment the shockwave reached it.

The nest transformed from an extremely dangerous incubator into a spotless, lifeless, silent tombstone.

After those few stomps, Saitama still seemed unsatisfied. He walked deeper into the cave, where a strange mineral emitted a faint chill—apparently used to balance the sand crocodiles' heat. He casually threw a punch into the rock.

Crack!

The mineral shattered, and the cold within it dispersed.

"That should be quiet now," Saitama said with satisfaction, brushing off a bit of dust that had gotten onto his pant leg.

Reed Richards stood where he was, the arm he'd stretched out for detection still frozen in place, forgetting to pull it back. He adjusted the glasses on the bridge of his nose. Behind the lenses, his eyes were filled with absolute shock—and… a kind of awe toward an unknown power. He had just witnessed it: this mysterious man used no high-tech weaponry, caused no energy runaway, and simply through a level of control so absurd it defied reason precisely and simultaneously annihilated every egg sac in the entire nest, without damaging the nest's structure at all.

This level of control had already surpassed the category of "powerful." It had reached the level of "art," even "law."

Reed watched Saitama walk back, his voice carrying a trace of dryness he couldn't quite hide as he spoke slowly.

"Your power… is terrifyingly precise."

Saitama only glanced at him and answered casually, "It was too noisy in there. Now it's fine."

As if he'd merely turned off a radio that was blasting static.

Siberia. An endless permafrost ice plain.
