Now that they'd found the weak point, the next step was figuring out how to break through.
"Wanda, I need your chaos magic to erode its structure from the outside and disrupt its stability," Strange began assigning tasks. "Hawkeye, keep firing your highest-yield explosive arrows at the point I marked. Peter, keep attaching webbing and pulling nonstop—add more structural stress. Mr. Saitama…"
Strange looked at Saitama. "The moment we weaken the barrier to its absolute limit, we'll need you to deliver the final blow and smash it completely!"
"Got it," Saitama answered simply.
The plan went into action.
Wanda released dense crimson energy from both hands. Like acid, it clung to the barrier's surface and kept trying to drill inside. Wherever it passed, the barrier's glow flickered between bright and dim, its structure beginning to warp.
Hawkeye switched to a specially made heavy explosive arrow. Shot after shot, he struck the exact same point, the repeated blasts hammering the region that was already destabilizing.
Peter fired countless webs, sticking them around the blast zone. Using solid rocks on the icefield as anchor points, he pulled with everything he had. The webbing let out that teeth-grinding, taut whine as it strained.
The barrier flashed violently, like it would crack at any second… but it still fell just short.
"Now! Mr. Saitama!" Strange shouted.
Saitama had been ready. He took a deep breath—though in this extreme cold, no white mist showed—and stepped forward.
A simple, direct straight punch slammed into the wildly flickering weak point.
There was no earth-shaking boom—only a crisp, shrill sound, like glass reaching its limit and finally giving way.
Crack——————shatter!
From the point of impact, countless fissures raced outward in an instant, webbing across the entire visible surface of the barrier. In the next second, the powerful black protective barrier collapsed like tempered glass smashed to pieces—breaking into innumerable fragments of energy before dissolving into the freezing air.
A massive, dark opening into the iceberg's interior was revealed before them. A frigid, evil-laced wind poured out from within.
The stronghold had opened its doors to them.
Beyond the entrance was a huge man-made ice tunnel, reinforced with spells, slanting downward deep into the mountain's belly. Strange crystals embedded in the walls emitted an eerie blue glow, providing light—and making the entire passage feel even colder and more sinister.
They hadn't gone far before the first wave of enemies appeared.
They were twisted elemental creatures formed from ice and shadow energy, along with dark mages wrapped in thick furs, wielding weapons inlaid with black crystals.
The attack came instantly—ice spikes, shadow arrows, Furosuto Nova (Frost Nova)… a storm of ice and dark spells blanketed everything.
"Push forward!" Strange raised a shield.
These enemies were far more organized than the scattered dark believers and stone gargoyles they'd faced in the ruins. Using the terrain, they formed solid defensive lines, their spell coordination smooth and practiced.
But in the face of an overwhelming gap in power, those defenses were still being torn apart again and again.
Saitama remained the unstoppable vanguard. Any ice elemental or dark mage that tried to block him would turn into shattered ice in the next second—or go flying like a tumbling ragdoll.
Wanda's chaos magic warped and annihilated incoming barrages on a wide scale. Strange focused on breaking the more troublesome combined spells and trap arrays. Hawkeye and Spider-Man covered the flanks, picking off enemies trying to sneak in for ambushes
