As Blake expected, his seat was at the very bottom of the table.
He raised an eyebrow slightly as he pulled the chair back and sat down.
'Yeah, this is exactly like last time.'
Everyone else had their own places, carefully arranged around the enormous table, while his seat was practically tucked away at the end.
'And to think this woman was discussing a supposed mental illness with that doctor...'
Blake lowered his gaze.
It wasn't as if he had expected better treatment because of something like that.
Honestly, after everything, he would have been more surprised if they had suddenly decided to treat him warmly.
Still... if something like that had genuinely been on the table for her, then why was the treatment he received still so careless?
Wasn't that supposed to make someone more attentive?
'Then again, she does see me as a mere inconvenience.'
The servants began placing the food down.
Plates were arranged one after another.
There was barely any conversation.
