Blake stared at the phone sitting beside his plate.
He sighed.
"Excuse me."
It had been four days since that conversation he had with Myles, and everything was going fine, or at least as fine as it could possibly be.
The next morning, after that conversation, he decided to go back to his house and spend some time alone there.
Although Myles didn't completely leave him alone. He still went to check on him once a day, even if for less than an hour.
Today, however, he'd decided to come back.
Myles had wanted to check him over properly and make sure there wasn't anything wrong with him physically. Blake had also wanted to talk about the alien body parts they'd recovered.
Now that Myles had determined that he was physically healthy enough to discuss things, Blake had figured there was no reason to keep delaying it.
The others were sitting around the table with him, eating dinner.
Blake's steak was already halfway gone.
He looked down at the phone again.
