Zyric wiped the dirt from his face, his mind still in complete disarray.
He had no clear plan, no idea how he was going to turn this fight around.
And then, a voice spoke…
"Zyric, he is a prince. He has been taught everything since childhood. You are a novice who just got here and have just stepped into the world of Monster Tamers. That prince is over 20 years old. It's obvious he would have a Fuzan Vault. He has levels—meaning he is at least one level higher than you. And no one here knows that you have a Fuzan Vault because you are around 15 years old. Because of that, everyone here thinks you don't have a Fuzan Vault, and the fact that you are fighting this prince without one is making the tribe very surprised. Even the prince is panicking—he's wondering how a boy who shouldn't have a Fuzan Vault at this age is able to fight him."
Fat Insect says to Zyric.
"But how will that help me?" Zyric asks Fat Insect.
"Look, that prince is already panicking, and he'll try to prove himself in front of everyone. You just have to take advantage of that. Force him to attack with more power. And he can't use a more powerful attack on you. Know why? Because he has to prove to everyone that you're a person without a Fuzan Vault. And anyone can kill someone like that in a snap. He wants to prove that in front of everyone, and he won't use a powerful attack until you force him to. But you have to finish him before you push him to that point."
Fat Insect says, and then Zyric understands what he means.
Prince Ralph is powerful, skilled, and very experienced. Zyric just has to take advantage.
Thinking this, Zyric stands up and looks at Prince Ralph, who is charging toward him rapidly. In the next moment, Zyric's world changes. Instead of Ralph, he sees David in front of him—the one who used to beat him every day.
As soon as Zyric sees David, he gets very, very angry, because it was that jerk who caused Zyric so much trouble. Zyric used to get beaten by him every day, and now Zyric sees David in Ralph. Seeing David, Zyric's anger hits the roof.
"I have a Fuzan Vault too. I am only one level below him. So why can't I beat him? It's not strength that matters here, it's brains." After saying this, Zyric also starts charging toward Prince Ralph.
"Is this boy crazy? Does he know what he's doing?" everyone says in shock.
The next moment, Zyric gets very close to Ralph. Ralph launches a normal attack at Zyric because of the speed at which Zyric was coming at him. He thought that even a normal attack would be impossible for Zyric to dodge in such a short time.
But Zyric had already thought all of this through. As soon as Zyric sees the attack coming, he ducks.
Since Ralph was already committed to the strike, he couldn't stop it midway. He sees Zyric sliding under him to right behind him. While sliding behind Ralph, Zyric grabs one of Ralph's legs firmly, causing Ralph to fall face down. Zyric moves forward immediately and grabs Ralph's hands tightly, twisting them so he cannot turn back.
Ralph was using all his strength, but Zyric puts all his strength into it too. The next moment, Zyric twists his hands slightly and brings the nails of those steel-like claws straight toward Ralph's throat, causing blood to flow from Ralph's throat—by his own weapon, derived from the beast genes combined with his body.
In an instant, Ralph's hands begin to look normal because he retracts the beast genes from his body. Seeing his hands turn normal, Zyric smiles, and in the next second, he grabs his hand and pulls with great force, breaking it right there. After this, Zyric immediately grabs Ralph's other hand to break it too.
"Hey, stop!" a soldier shouts, rushing forward to save his prince.
But in the next moment, Zyric feels something wrapping around his stomach. As soon as Zyric looks down, he is thrown away. A strange tail had emerged from behind Prince Ralph, which wraps around Zyric's entire stomach and tosses him aside.
Zyric sees that tail. It is silver in color and looks very strange. Zyric can even see his own face reflected in the tail; it is that polished and reflective.
"It seems he has many beasts. At most, he must have three beasts, two of which he has already used. This is the second one. If I start beating him, he will use the third one too," Zyric says to himself while standing.
"But I can't use my beasts in front of everyone, otherwise it will be a problem. Everyone will find out I have a Fuzan Vault at this age." Zyric says this, but now he also sees that Ralph looks stronger than before. Now his speed and agility have also increased. It is strange.
But Zyric can also see that the beast gene Ralph has combined with is probably more powerful than Ralph himself. That's why, as soon as Ralph combines those genes, his strength increases.
Zyric's expression tightens as he watches Ralph stand back up.
That overwhelming presence… it makes his chest feel heavy.
