The knight in white armor walked through the halls of a facility in another dimension, passing row after row of recovery chambers. He stopped in front of a glass panel and looked in at Leslie, who was being healed inside one of the chambers.
A voice spoke behind him, belonging to a scientific-looking man with red lenses fixed over his eyes.
"Don't worry, she'll recover soon. You're welcome to keep watching her. Goodbye."
The man walked away, trailing a strange aura. The knight kept his eyes on Leslie's glass and listened in silence.
An imposing figure strolled through the facility. His aura was so terrifying and so captivating that no one below high rank dared speak to him. He was the unknown voice. He moved through the halls and took in every movement in so little time that not even the multiverse could have perceived it. He glanced at the knight still staring at Leslie's glass, let out a sigh, and walked on.
"His kindness seems genuine," the unknown voice said, calm and unsettling at once. "But he is still a Boss."
He reached his chamber and sat on a throne. Multiple screens flickered to life in front of him, and a glowing purple button appeared beneath his finger. He pressed it.
A figure stepped out of a capsule, wearing black gloves, blue shoes, and a shirt and pants in the same purple as his eyes. He looked at the unknown voice, then walked forward and stood on a metal plate. It swallowed him into a wormhole, and countless galaxies and planets streamed past around him. He sighed and let the current carry him. He already knew his purpose and what his rank demanded: go to planet Earth and become the next Boss.
Elsewhere, in a universe called "Universe 06," a figure raised his fist. He looked like Kiro because he was the original Kiro (Yukimiya). He wore a dark blue shirt with black sleeves, gray pants, and black shoes with sky-blue laces, and he had dark hair and pale blue eyes. This universe's Kiro was heading home when something in an alley caught his attention: a couple sharing a private moment, and two armed men stepping in after them. He heard harsh insults, then the crack of a blow.
He understood at once. A strange instinct to save them rose in him. He didn't know why, but it had to be a connection to his counterpart in another universe.
He ran into the alley. The first man was tearing at the clothes of a blonde girl while the second beat a boy with blue hair. Kiro didn't hesitate. He drove his fist into the second man's neck with such force that his knuckles split and bled. The man's gun slipped from his pocket, and Kiro snatched it out of the air.
The first man spun around and shot Kiro in the chest. Blood spread across his shirt, but Kiro fired back before the pain could register. The man dropped dead.
The boy and the girl stared at him, caught between terror, relief, and gratitude.
"Get out of here," Kiro said, his voice rough and heavy from the wound. "Go to a hospital."
The blood loss caught up with him, and he collapsed unconscious. The girl fumbled for her phone and called an ambulance.
At the hospital, Kiro woke with bandages wrapped from his chest down to his waist. A doctor came in and checked his temperature. Kiro only watched, then closed his eyes. A dream came to him: training that would push him past his limits and make him strong. He woke, walked out of the hospital, and set off with fierce determination to make that dream real.
The unknown voice watched this Kiro on one of the screens. A keyboard appeared nearby, and with one hand he began to type.
"Enemy activation enabled. Message sent to the second and third layers."
He clicked, let go of the keyboard, and it vanished. A large screen opened in front of him and displayed:
**Universe 06**
**Layer 1:** Planet Earth and planets currently active.
**Layer 2:** Galaxies exploding into others and devouring planets.
**Layer 3:** Villains notified by the message. IQ of 4,999 or 4,000. Capable of creating galaxies with their own consciousness.
**Layer 4:** Hyperversal-sized gods notified by the message. Ability: matter control.
The unknown voice nodded and swiped the screen downward, and it dissolved at his feet. After a few minutes he rose and walked to a room made of clouds. He lay down on a bed and slept, without a single remarkable dream.
In the wormhole, the figure saw that he was close to planet Earth. He clenched his fists and braced himself.
