"Even gods leave behind their mistakes. And sometimes… they lock them away."
– Izayami Tsukihiro
⸻
The untouched ruin called me.
From afar, it was quiet — too quiet. No wind passed through it. No beast dared to be near it as if time itself has stopped. Yet now, standing at its gates, I could feel the weight of countless centuries pressing against my soul.
Status Window…
A screen popped out of my vision, checking it for the final time.

I did a little bit of grinding. Guess this would do.
I turned my way to the mysterious building. Pillars of glowing stone stretched high into a dome that defied gravity. Carvings across the entrance shimmered faintly in languages I don't understand. The building pulsed like a heart — slow, ancient… sealed.
The moment I lay my hands on the door, it opened.
Not because I forced it…
But because somehow it recognized me.
But how?
⸻
Inside, light bled through cracks in the stone — not sunlight, but something deeper, more primal. Ethereal chains of energy danced in the air, leading down to an endless halls.
I walked slowly, each step echoed louder than they should have. There were countless doors that lead to a different room – kitchen, bedroom, library, empty room and etc...
As the hall kept stretching, I started to get bored. Out of frustration I shouted. "Urhhh! I was expecting more than a maze." I scratched my neck. "I should loot this place..." I entered a random room. "...and probably look for a better clothes." I muttered after realising I was still wearing torn clothes.
The room where I entered was the armory, it was large. "This room alone is larger than what it seems outside." Rows of armour stands equipped with unique set of armour glimmered in its radiance.
Must be expensive…
I walked across the enormous library. I opened chests, boxes, search anywhere I could think of but still, nothing interested me.
As I was about to leave the room, a blinding light caught my eyes.
Without hesitation, I took a step closer. I snapped my finger with a big smile. "This could work." In front of me was a glass box, It frames was look like it's made of molten gold. In it, a brown medieval–like shirt, covered with black hunter's cloak and a cream colored pants.
Instantly, I opened the glass box and tried it on. It fits me perfectly. "Even if there's no mirror here, I could tell I look charming." I muttered with a hint of arrogance.
After exploring a few rooms, I continued down the main hall. As I went deeper I could sense something strange.
The air was thick with memory — not dust.
Every wall whispered of legends long buried.
Every corridor curved wrongly, as if time had folded the temple into itself.
Moments later, I found it.
A chamber. Vast. Hollow.
And at its center — a crystal prison suspended by divine chains, glowing in shades of sorrow and silver.
Inside it, floated a girl — unconscious, untouched by decay or time. Her hair flowed like liquid moonlight. Her body glowed faintly, wrapped in faded garments that bore no crest. A broken halo hovered above her head, cracked and flickering.
And for the first time since my rebirth… My heart twinged.
"…Who are you?" I whispered but none replied.
The system responded coldly:
[ Unknown Entity Detected: Divine Class — Sealed Being ]
[ Warning: Breaking Seal will trigger Divine Defense Protocols. ]
⸻
I stepped closer, reaching out — gently, hesitantly — toward the crystal.
The moment my fingers grazed its surface, the world trembled.
[ Seal Breach Detected. ]
[ Summoning Divine Guardians: Protocol Initiated. ]
[ Defeat Uthulhu's Guardians: 0/2 ]
The chamber split open. Massive mana surged like a tidal wave as two colossal gates emerged from the walls — spiraling open in twin flashes of divine light.
From the left came a giant clad burning in silver armor, wielding a sword forged from a dying star. Its wings were made of molten stone and lava.
[ Divine Guardian: VAL'KRON, The Judging Flame ]
"Those who disturb the sacred must be judged by fire."
From the right descended a female warrior in a flowing mantle of white feathers and shadow. Her spear was carved from a god-serpent's fang. Her presence bent space itself.
[Divine Guardian: AUREN'ZIA, The Frozen Verdict]
"No soul escapes the law of the eternal."
My eyes narrowed, wings forming from swirling air and light.
"Shit..."
⸻
They struck first.
Val'kron hurled a flaming slash that split the chamber in half — I barely dodged, wind wrapped around me like a shield.
Auren'zia twisted reality, forming spears of time that rained from above.
I clapped my hands, causing the area around me exploded in a vacuum burst, redirecting the divine weapons mid-air.
I covered myself with layer of wind, absorbing a barrage of burning shards from Val'kron's second strike.
Still, I was sent flying to the walls by his immense strength.
This is harder than I thought. I hold my side. Still hurts though.
They were strong. Too strong.
Not just powerful — perfect.
Every attack they used had divine logic, unbreakable unless rewritten.
⸻
Rewrite… Yes!
They pinned me down. I grunted in pain.
One slash from Val'kron shattered the ground, and Auren'zia stabbed her spear into my shoulder, anchoring me with divine seals. I could see my flesh being torn open.
I coughed blood — but grinned.
"I'm not going to die for the second time." I gave her a mischievous smile.
[ Rewrite – Initiate Override Command ]
Target: Divine Seals
Concept: Unbreakable
Rewrite: Fragile
The seal shattered. I twisted free from her grasp.
[ Omniblade – Partial Unseal ]
Forged from every myth, honed by chaos.
From my palm, a blade of paradox formed — flickering between a katana, greatsword, and scythe.
I struck.
The blade cut through law, bypassing even Auren'zia's divine space.
[ Critical Impact: Guardian Core Damaged. ]
Val'kron roared and charged. However, I was already behind him.
[ Rewrite – Initiate Override Command ]
Target: Divine Armour
Concept: Supreme Law of Judgment
Rewrite: Dust
With a whisper, the molecules of Val'kron's armour collapsed — not destroyed, but deconstructed into dust itself. The moment Val'kron let his guard down, I pierced his heart with omniblade, killing him.
I turned to Auren'zia. She hesitated for just a second too long.
That was enough.
One swing — and her existence vanished.
[ You have levelled up. ]
[ Defeat Uthulhu's Guardians: 2/2 ]
[ Seal Access Granted. ]
[New skill unlocked: Predator Instinct]
I took a deep breath. "New skill, huh? Whatever." I ignored the system, thinking of it was nothing special.
⸻
The room fell still once more.
Panting, bleeding, but victorious. "Shouldn't have underestimated me." I walked toward the glowing crystal as my body starts to heal itself.
It flickered now — cracks spreading along its perfect edges.
I placed my hand over it. No fear. Just… silence.
[ Seal Disengaged. ]
[ Commencing Release. ]
[ Due to the Crystal's effects, she needs a star fragment to be awake. ]
Light burst outward — warm, quiet, almost mournful.
The chains shattered.
The girl's body slowly floated down, cradled in strands of light and starlight threads. She lay there — asleep, breathing softly.
Not a weapon. Not a monster.
Just… a girl, sealed away in a cage made for gods.
I stood over her, silent.
I didn't know who she was.
I didn't know why she was sealed.
But I had freed her.
"…You're free." I whispered.
And somewhere far above, in the deepest sky of Eternavexus… something stirred.
⸻
I sat beside her quietly. She's now covered with a brown robe I found.
For the first time since I arrived in this world, I allowed myself to rest.
The walls of the ruin no longer pulsed with danger — only stillness. Yet the air held weight. Not the heaviness of fear… but of fate.
I looked at my trembling hands.
I had fought divine guardians equal to a god.
I had rewritten laws.
I had broken divine chains.
And I was still alone.
But now — someone else was here. Someone who might understand what it meant to be imprisoned by others. Someone who might share the burden of being forgotten.
"…I don't know who you are," I mumbled, voice barely above a whisper. "But if they locked you away… then maybe… you're like me."
I looked up at the ruined dome — where starlight bled through cracks in the stone.
My voice harden as if warning those who had imprisoned her.
"And if they come again… I'll break them too."
The girl didn't move. But the faintest shimmer crossed her eyelids.
She's beautiful…
Somewhere, deep within her dreams, a memory stirred.
And the Broken Nexus began to shift once more.
