Once, twice, dozens of times, hundreds of times—
Finally, under Rin's approving gaze, Carrion, whose appearance had drastically changed, walked out from the pillar of magicules.
The man's physique was even more robust and powerful, with a lion-like mane of long hair flowing behind his head. His chest was bare, and his skin was etched with crimson patterns forming a strange design.
At first glance, it bore a seven or eight-tenths resemblance to Command Spells.
"Thank you for your grace, Rin!"
Carrion knelt on one knee, his hand resting on his raised leg, bowing his head to his generous and benevolent liege.

"Dual Ultimate Skills?"
Rin noticed the Ultimate Skills Carrion had obtained.
Set and Osiris, from the Ennead of Egyptian mythology, were both rated as Mid-Tier Ultimate Skills in the classification system.
However, unlike Ogerpon's Dual Ultimate Skills, Carrion's Dual Ultimates were truly just Dual Ultimates.
This was apparent from the change in his magicules.
After Ogerpon awakened, her magicules reached 8 million, already approaching the Calamity Domain. In contrast, Carrion hadn't even reached 3 million.
The former's magicules hinted at her future advancement.
Izanagi and Izanami were merely temporary transitions.
In contrast, Carrion's development in Ultimate Skills had basically reached its limit, and further breakthroughs would be difficult.
'Unexpected, yet within reason.'
Rin wasn't particularly surprised by Carrion's situation.
Rather, Carrion's position in the Cardinal World was probably just at this level.
Dual Mid-Tier Ultimate Skills could roughly contend with a standard High-Tier Ultimate Skill, but the odds of victory were slim.
If facing the seven virtues or the seven deadly sins, he would be completely overpowered.
So, Carrion's strength, among the powerhouses of the Cardinal World, likely placed him within the top 50. But breaking into the top 20 would be impossible.
"Having just awakened, you can't fully control this power yet. You need time to get used to it."
Rin said, "Stay in the Beast Kingdom of Eurazania for now. When the time comes, you and Frey will announce your allegiance to my Monster Nation."
"Yes!"
Carrion had no objections whatsoever.
Rather, Rin's thoughtfulness overwhelmed him.
At this moment, Carrion finally understood why Frey held Rin in such high regard.
He didn't treat subordinates like tools. Everyone was treated as a companion.
Although there was hierarchy, it wasn't rigid. He ruled with both grace and might, giving no one a reason to find fault.
"Frey, you stay too."
Rin said, "Explain the Monster Nation's internal affairs to Carrion."
"As for your Three Beastketeers and the Beastmen Race…"
"They'll stay with me for now."
Since Carrion had already become Rin's dependent, then his subordinates naturally became Rin's as well.
The Monster Nation wasn't a feudal system.
There was no such absurd rule as "the vassal of my vassal is not my vassal."
Rin: Carrion is mine. The Beast Kingdom of Eurazania is mine. Everyone within it is mine. Everything is mine!
This was the rule of the Monster Nation.
A centralized system. Everything followed Rin's will.
"This is their honor!"
To be able to interact with Rin was an immense fortune. Carrion was thrilled and couldn't possibly refuse.
Moreover, if Rin took a liking to Albis and Sophia, then Carrion would no longer have to worry about their futures.
To gain Rin's favor was more important than anything else!
"You brat, your performance just now wasn't bad."
After Rin left, Frey glanced at Carrion and teased, "My efforts weren't wasted."
"Tsk!"
Carrion looked around. Confirming that Rin had truly left, he pursed his lips.
"What?"
Frey narrowed her eyes at Carrion. "You awakened and now your wings have hardened?"
"That's not what I meant."
Honestly, Carrion couldn't lift his head in front of Frey.
He owed her too much. He couldn't act all high and mighty.
"Pouting? Is that how Beastmen treat their benefactors?"
"You, you're being unreasonable now."
Carrion looked aggrieved. "What do you want me to do? I'll do it, alright?"
To be shackled by gratitude was frustrating,
but Carrion simply couldn't do anything about Frey.
"That's more like it!"
Frey nodded in satisfaction at Carrion's concession. "My request is simple. From now on, the Harpy Race and the Beastmen Race will form an alliance. You and I will advance and retreat together."
"Huh?"
Carrion scratched his head, a bit confused. "Aren't we already on the same side?"
"Idiot!"
Frey gave him a look of disdain. "Don't you realize how fierce the internal competition is in the Monster Nation?"
"Don't get complacent just because you awakened!"
"Your strength means nothing to the true powerhouses of the Monster Nation!"
At this point, Frey looked at Carrion with curiosity. "By the way, what are your Ultimate Skills?"
"Lord of War, Set, and Lord of the Underworld, Osiris."
"Wait!"
Frey's expression was incredulous. "You have two Ultimate Skills?"
"Yeah. What about it?"
"…"
Frey felt a sudden pang of bitterness.
Why!?
Why could this big oaf have two Ultimate Skills, while she only had one?
"Lower-tier?"
In the Monster Nation, Ultimate Skills were ranked:
Lower, Middle, Upper, Virtue-Sin, Peak, and Irregular.
"No, Mid-Tier."
"Both?!"
"Both."
Carrion watched Frey clutching her chest, her face blank as she questioned her (previously very sound) life decisions.
He felt a strange sense of satisfaction bubbling up from deep within.
"No way?"
"Could it be that my luck's actually not bad?"
Carrion said this, but the upturned corner of his lips betrayed him.
"You motherf*cker…"
Frey couldn't help cursing.
She really wanted to beat him up right now.
But with two Ultimate Skills, and only a small gap in magicules, plus some special ability he might've inherited that she didn't have...
"Tell me the effects of your Ultimate Skills."
"Oh, alright."
Carrion didn't intend to hide anything from Frey in this regard.
(To be continued.)
