Chapter-76: rejected the offer of fifth prince's mansion

"Sir, these are criminals exiled by the court. Their words cannot be trusted. My master likes making friends the most. If I recommend you, a person like you will naturally be favored by the Fifth Prince."

Adam Smith was a little surprised. "So what…?"

Guard Jane thought it was just a joke, and pointed at Wendy Lark and the others excitedly. "These people are treasonous and disrespectful to the court and the royal family. They should all be killed to prevent future troubles."

They were doing things secretly just now, but now they are all out in the open. It's already a life and death situation, and letting these people live is a major hidden danger. He even refused to let go the escorting officers, which shows how cruel and ruthless he was.

Everyone he pointed out changed their expression, became angry and furious and wanted to beat him up. Lord Jeff looked anxious, "That's not the case. We are all court officials..."

In the eyes of Guard Jane, being a lowly official meant nothing, and he could die just like that. "You have been instigated by this witch, and you all deserve to die."

Guard Jane wanted to kill and silence the witnesses, and tried his best to persuade them, "Sir, do you want to become a guest of honor in the prince's mansion? If so, get rid of these troubles for your master..."

He couldn't defeat the enemy, but he could use the power of the Prince's Mansion to win him over and make him a knife in his hand. A cold voice sounded, "No."

"Uh, uh, what did you say?" Guard Jane rubbed his ears in disbelief. Who in this world could refuse an olive branch extended by a prince? Adam Smith jumped off his horse swiftly, his expression unable to conceal his disgust.

"You treat the common people like grass. It seems that you have done this kind of thing too often. You are not worthy of being a human being." Wendy Lark secretly breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, this man had normal values and a strong sense of justice.

"My dear, you are a chivalrous man who draws his sword to fight against injustice. I have no way to repay your life saving grace. The only thing I can do is..." Adam Smith interrupted impatiently. "Promise yourself to me, no."

He has seen this kind of thing so many times that it really annoys him! "Please don't get involved in this kind of mess and leave early..." Wendy Lark said this at the same time, and the two looked at each other, both a little surprised.

"Cough cough." Wendy Lark was choked by her own saliva, "Young Master, I'm still young, what are you thinking about?" The style of painting changed suddenly. Adam Smith misunderstood the meaning and the atmosphere became a little awkward.

A burst of hurried horse hoof beats sounded, and a group of black knights came galloping over. Everyone's nerves were tense again. Who could this be? The black knights all dismounted and saluted Adam Smith in unison, "Master."

(I really don't know why they should get off the horse to salute to the master that they are following all the way along when ever their master stops and talks with someone. It is quite strange to do this. May be it is their exercise…) Wendy thought looking at the people.

Adam Smith nodded slightly, showing an air of not being angry. Strict discipline and good training are the rules in the military. The knight in the front was worried, "Master, don't run so fast next time. It's too dangerous."

The master's divine horse ran too fast and no one could catch up. It was worrying. Adam Smith waved his hand, looking calm and composed, "I know my limits." The subordinates sighed.

What else could they do when following a master who was too opinionated? Guard Jane stared blankly at the man in black, his mind racing. He had such a group of subordinates, so he couldn't be an unknown person, but who was he?

Doesn't he know the consequences of offending the prince? Wendy Lark immediately saw Jerry Lark, who looked panicked on the horse. When Jerry Lark saw that his family was safe and sound, he relaxed completely.

His eyes instantly turned red and tears streamed down his face. He thought it was too late! Wendy Lark pursed her lips and said, "Sir, I have a few words to say." Adam Smith looked over and regained his composure. "Speak."

Wendy Lark pointed at Guard Jane and his group and said, "Leave these people to me. You can go on your way. I won't leak anything about what happened today. I promise." She meant well and didn't want him to get involved.

She had no way to avoid it, and if she didn't fight back she would die, but the other person was just passing by. If she guessed correctly, he was a military man, and offending a prince would have a huge impact on him and he might even be killed or his family would be destroyed.

Someone saved her, she can't hurt him. Although she didn't say it explicitly, Adam Smith understood it all and was a little surprised. He looked at her for a second longer.

This girl was young, but she was thoughtful, kind, and gentle and she could clearly distinguish between gratitude and resentment. "What are you going to do with it?"

Wendy Lark concentrated and thought for a while, "He wants to kill me, but I'm just a timid girl, so I don't want him to die in exchange for my life, so I'll just cut his tendons."

Before she finished her words, she picked up the sword and stabbed it down swiftly, making a few whooshing movements. "Ahhh…" With the rise and fall of the sword, Guard Jane's hands and feet were crippled.
