 --XXXX--

Aizawa stood between the two classes and gestured to Shinso, who was standing awkwardly between the groups, wearing a new capture scarf similar to his teacher's.

"Shinso will be participating with class 1-A as the new member of the class," Aizawa explained.

Shinso tightened his capture scarf, his eyes narrowing. "Understood."

"First match!" Vlad King announced. "Drawing lots!"

The teams were decided on the screen.

Match 1:Class 1-A: Eijiro Kirishima, Denki Kaminari, Tsuyu Asui, Hitoshi Shinso. Class 1-B: Jurota Shishida, Ibara Shiozaki, Kosei Tsuburaba, Hiryu Rin.

The students moved to their starting positions.

In the observation area, Akaza leaned against the wall, watching the monitors with sharp interest. "This should be interesting."

"Think the purple guy has a chance?" Rumi asked, leaning on his shoulder.

"His quirk is strong, but if they know about it, he's kinda useless in a brawl."

"Aizawa has been training him," Akaza noted, watching Shinso's stance. "Look at his posture. And the scarf. He's not relying just on his voice anymore. He's trying to be a combat type."

"Like you?" Rumi teased.

Akaza smirked. "No one is like me."

"Arrogant bastard," she laughed, nudging him.

"BEGIN!" the buzzer sounded.

The first match started explosively. Class 1-B, led by the beast-man Shishida, charged. They knew about Shinso's brainwashing, so they communicated with hand signals.

But Shinso had a new trick. Using his "Persona Chords" mask, he mimicked Shishida's roar perfectly, confusing Tsuburaba for a split second.

"What the?!" Tsuburaba gasped.

That was all it took. Shinso's quirk snapped into place. Tsuburaba's eyes went blank.

"Capture your teammates," Shinso commanded.

The Class B student turned on his own team, creating air walls to trap Shishida. Chaos ensued. Meanwhile, Kirishima and Kaminari charged the front lines, while Tsuyu used her camouflage to flank. It was messy, but effective. Shinso moved through the battlefield using the capture scarf, swinging from pipes, and binding opponents. He wasn't Aizawa yet, but the potential was terrifying.

In the end, Class 1-A secured the win, largely thanks to Shinso's disruption.

"Not bad," Bakugo grunted from the sidelines. "For an extra."

"He's good." Shoto agreed.

The matches continued. Class 1-B proved they weren't pushovers.

Kendo's leadership, Honenuki's softening quirk, and Komori's mushrooms gave 1-A a run for their money. It was a back-and-forth brawl.

Finally, it was time for the main event. The match everyone was waiting for.

Match 5:Class 1-A: Akaza, Rumi Usagiyama, Izuku Midoriya, Ochaco Uraraka. Class 1-B: Neito Monoma, Reiko Yanagi, Shinso, Yui Kodai, and Nirengeki.

Aizawa looked at the teams. "Why Shinso and why are they 5?"

"He requested it." Vlad King said. "As for why five? That's you have Akaza, in that team."

"Fair." Aizawa sighed.

Down on the field, Akaza and Rumi stood side-by-side, stretching.

"So," Rumi said, cracking her neck. "We get to beat up Monoma and show off to the newbie?"

"Focus, Rumi," Akaza said, though his eyes were gleaming. "Do not underestimate anyone."

"I know, I know," she waved him off. "I'll just kick him before he can speak."

Izuku walked up to them, looking nervous. "Um... Akaza-kun, Usagiyama-san... what's the plan?"

Akaza looked at him. The cold indifference was still there, but it was... lighter. Functional.

"You and Uraraka handle the support," Akaza said. "Keep the others busy. Don't let them gang up on us."

"And you two?" Uraraka asked.

Rumi grinned, her scar crinkling. "We're going hunting."

Across the field, Monoma laughed. "Class 1-A's strongest! The 'Battle God' and the 'Rabbit'! Perfect! When I copy your quirks, I'll finally show everyone that Class B is superior! Shinso-kun! Brainwash the big one! I want his power!"

Shinso adjusted his mask, looking at Akaza. The guy everyone is afraid of. If I can take him down... I prove I belong here.

"Ready?" Shinso whispered.

The siren wailed.

"START!"

The air in the arena changed instantly. It wasn't a gradual shift; it was an explosion of intent.

Neito Monoma, standing atop a labyrinth wall, didn't waste a second. "Go! Plan A! Separate the monsters from the herd!"

Class 1-B moved with practiced, fluid coordination. Yui Kodai reached into her utility belt, throwing a handful of small metal nuts and bolts into the air. Reiko Yanagi, eyes glowing pale behind her bangs, activated her Poltergeist quirk. The small objects floated, swirling around her like a deadly halo.

"Release," Kodai commanded.

POOF.

The tiny nuts and bolts instantly expanded, becoming massive, car-sized boulders of steel. Yanagi thrust her hands forward, and the barrage launched toward the Class 1-A team with the force of a landslide.

"Nirengeki!" Monoma shouted.

Nirengeki Shoda was already moving. He leaped, tapping the flying debris in mid-air. Twin Impact. The massive projectiles accelerated, their kinetic energy doubling, turning them into supersonic cannonballs.

It was a devastating opening salvo, designed to crush morale and formation in a single breath.

"Look out!" Uraraka yelled, instinctively reaching out to float a piece of rubble for cover.

"Too slow," Rumi grinned.

She didn't dodge. She charged.

Using Soru, she vanished from her starting position, reappearing mid-air directly in the path of the largest steel boulder. Her leg, glowing with a fierce crimson aura, snapped out in a horizontal arc.

CLANG!

The sound was deafening, like a church bell being struck by a train. The massive steel object didn't just stop; it crumpled inwards around her shin and was launched backwards at twice the speed, smashing through the other debris and clearing a path through the bombardment.

"Is that all you got, Copy-Cat?!" Rumi cackled, landing on a pipe and launching herself toward the enemy line. "I'm gonna need more than pebble throwing to break a sweat!"

Behind her, Akaza moved. He didn't run; he glided, his Compass Needle active beneath his feet, predicting every trajectory. A stray bolt, magnified by Kodai, whistled toward Izuku. Akaza didn't even look at it. He simply backhanded the air.

Destructive Death: Air Type.

A focused shockwave bullet hit the projectile, knocking it off course so it slammed harmlessly into a wall.

"Midoriya, Uraraka," Akaza said, his voice calm amidst the chaos. "Don't get separated. Handle the support. We'll take the front."

"R-Right!" Izuku stammered, activating Full Cowling. He felt that strange, writhing sensation in his core again, stronger this time, like a heartbeat that wasn't his own. He shoved it down. Focus. Focus on the fight.

Rumi was already engaging. She was a whirlwind of kicks, forcing Kodai and Yanagi to retreat. Shoda tried to intercept her, firing a Twin Impact punch, but she used Geppo, kicking off the air to vault over him, her heel clipping his shoulder and sending him spinning.

"They're monsters!" Shoda grunted, clutching his shoulder. "They're not even using strategy, just brute force!"

"That's their weakness!" Monoma yelled from the shadows. "They're arrogant! Now!"

Hitoshi Shinso, hidden in the labyrinth of pipes, adjusted his mask. He adjusted his Artificial Vocal Cords. He tuned the dials, seeking a specific pitch, a specific timbre.

"Hey, Akaza!"

The voice that rang out wasn't Shinso's. It was Rumi's.

"Watch your six! I'm slipping!"

It was a bait designed to trigger a protective instinct. A split-second reaction.

Akaza paused. He stopped running. He turned his head toward the source of the sound.

Shinso's heart leaped. Got him.

"Is that the best you can do?" Akaza asked, his voice flat.

Shinso froze. The brainwashing... didn't take.

Akaza looked directly at the pile of pipes where Shinso was hiding. His black eyes seemed to pierce through the metal.

"My Compass Needle sees battle spirit," Akaza explained, his voice carrying effortlessly over the distance. "I can sense Rumi's spirit over there, fighting your friends. And I can sense yours, shivering behind that pipe. You can copy her voice, Shinso. But you can't copy her presence."

Shinso gritted his teeth. Damn it!

"Plan B!" Monoma shouted, leaping from his vantage point. He wasn't aiming for Akaza. He was aiming for the support.

He touched the side of his utility belt, where a small stopwatch hung — a memento from a previous interaction with a certain speedster.

"Fast... so fast!" Monoma laughed, speeding forward. He bypassed Akaza, bypassed Rumi, and shot straight for Izuku.

"Midoriya!" Uraraka yelled, trying to intercept, but Monoma was too fast.

He appeared in front of Izuku, his hand lashing out to touch Izuku's cheek. "Let's see what your quirk has to offer!"

Izuku reacted on instinct. Shoot Style. He brought his leg up to block, but Monoma wasn't trying to hit him. He just wanted contact. His fingers brushed Izuku's arm.

"Thanks for the quirk!" Monoma grinned, retreating instantly. He landed a few meters away, looking triumphant.

He channeled the power. He prepared to unleash a smash that would blow Midoriya away. He braced his body, smirked, and...

Nothing.

Monoma blinked. He tried again. He strained his muscles, visualized the egg in the microwave, and did everything he'd seen Midoriya do.

Nothing happened. It was a blank. A dud.

"What the..." Monoma looked at his hands, confused. "A blank? But... I touched him. I copied it. Why is there no power?"

Monoma's face twisted in frustration. "A dud?! Just like you, Midoriya! You just got lucky; you got into class 1-A. HAHAHAHAHA!!!"

Izuku flinched. The words cut deep, echoing his own insecurities.

"You sit there like a good boy," Monoma taunted, desperate to regain control of the fight. "Pretending to be a hero. Pretending to stand on the same stage as him!" He pointed at Akaza. "He earned his strength through blood! You? You're just a fanboy playing dress-up!"

"Shut up!" Izuku yelled.

Something inside him snapped.

It wasn't anger. It wasn't the usual "I have to do my best" determination. It was that writhing, dark sensation in his core. The one he had felt earlier. It surged up, not like a stream of power, but like a tsunami.

Catch him.

The thought wasn't his.

"Midoriya?" Uraraka stepped forward, sensing the change. "Deku-kun?"

Green lightning crackled around Izuku, but it was wrong. It was jagged. Violent. And then, it turned black.

CRACK-BOOM!

From Izuku's right arm, raw, black energy erupted. It wasn't a blast. It was tendrils. Thick, whiplash cords of dark energy that exploded outward with uncontrollable force.

"W-What is this?!" Izuku screamed, grabbing his wrist.

The black whips thrashed wildly, smashing into the concrete floor, shattering pipes, and tearing through the industrial landscape like possessed vines. One tendril lashed out, slicing a steel beam in half like it was butter. Another shot toward Uraraka.

"Uraraka!" Izuku cried, trying to pull it back, but the power was dragging him. "Run! Get away from me! I can't control it!"

"Midoriya!" Shinso yelled, breaking cover, his eyes wide. "What the hell are you doing?!"

The black energy was expanding, a dark cloud swallowing the area. It was heavy, suffocating, and smelled of ozone and old rage.

"It hurts!" Izuku gritted his teeth, the recoil tearing at his arm. "Stop! STOP!"

But the power didn't stop. It wanted out. It wanted to rage.

Monoma scrambled back, his arrogance replaced by fear. "What kind of quirk is that?! That's not super strength!"

Across the field, Rumi stopped her assault on Yanagi. She looked back, her eyes widening at the explosion of black energy. "What the hell is the nerd doing now?"

Akaza stopped walking. His Compass Needle was going haywire. The battle spirit coming from Midoriya wasn't just Midoriya's anymore. It was multiple. It was old. And it was chaotic.

He's awakening, Akaza realized, his eyes narrowing. The other quirks within One For All.

A black tendril lashed out blindly, aiming straight for Shinso, who was too stunned to move. It was moving fast, heavy enough to crush bone.

"SHINSO!" Aizawa shouted from the observation deck, his scarf already rising, but he was too far away.

Shinso flinched, bracing for impact.

WHOOSH.

Akaza appeared in front of Shinso. He didn't block the tendril. He caught it.

His gauntleted hand clamped around the writhing black energy. The force of it dragged his boots through the concrete, digging deep furrows, but he didn't let go. The black energy hissed and sparked against his grip, vibrating with a wild, kinetic fury.

"Get back," Akaza ordered Shinso, his voice calm but strained.

He looked at Izuku, who was being thrashed around by his own power, tears of pain and panic streaming down his face.

"Make it stop!" Izuku begged. "Please!"

"Focus, you idiot!" Akaza roared, his voice cutting through the storm of energy. "It's your quirk! Don't let it control you! Dominate it!"

"I... I can't!"

"Then shut it down!"

Akaza tightened his grip on the whip. He pulled. With a display of raw, terrifying strength, he yanked the thrashing Izuku toward him.

"Shinso!" Akaza yelled, not looking back. "Use your quirk! Brainwash him! NOW!"

Shinso snapped out of his shock. He understood.

"MIDORIYA!" Shinso shouted, his voice amplified. "Do you want to lose?!"

"NO!" Izuku screamed back.

Snap.

The connection formed. Izuku's eyes went blank. The black lightning froze in mid-air. The thrashing stopped. The energy, cut off from the panicked mind fueling it, dissipated into harmless smoke.

Izuku collapsed, falling forward. Uraraka was there in an instant, catching him before he hit the ground, lowering him gently.

The arena fell silent. The destruction was massive. Pipes were sheared, the ground was torn up, and the air still tasted of ozone.

"That..." Monoma whispered, staring at the unconscious Midoriya. "That wasn't normal."

Blackwhip, Akaza thought. So it begins. He's unlocking the rest.

Aizawa's voice boomed over the speakers, sounding stressed beyond belief. "Match suspended! Medical team to the field! Everyone else, stand down!"

Rumi walked over to Akaza, kicking a piece of debris out of her way. She looked at Izuku, then at Akaza.

"You okay?" she asked, eyeing his hand.

"I'm fine," Akaza said, flexing his fingers. "Just... surprised."

"That kid is a walking disaster," Rumi muttered. "First, he breaks his bones, now he turns into a tentacle monster. Is he ever going to be normal?"

Akaza looked at the unconscious boy, surrounded by worried classmates. He saw the potential there, raw and dangerous.

"No," Akaza said quietly. "Normal people don't become the Number One Hero."

He turned away. "Let's go, Rumi. The show's over."

As they walked away, Shinso stared at Akaza's back. He looked at the furrowed concrete where Akaza had stood his ground against that monster power.

He caught it, Shinso thought, awe and fear warring in his mind. He caught a quirk going berserk with his bare hand. Just how strong is he?
