Chapter 183 - Chapter 183: Klee: There’s a Bomb-Making Manga in the Store? Yay! Ziggs? He’s Even Shorter Than Klee!

Not long after Childe left, a small, flame-red blur came dashing into the manga shop.

"Brother Han Feng! Klee's here to read manga again!"

The little Spark Knight bounded up to the counter with a bright grin.

"Just you today?"

Han Feng conjured a glass of lemonade with the Gourmet Tablecloth and handed it over.

"Here—try this."

"Barbara-sister and Mona-sister are right behind me. Thank you, Brother Han Feng!"

Klee happily took the glass and sipped.

"Wow! It's so sweet!"

Her eyes curved into twin crescent moons.

"Be honest," Han Feng teased, ruffling her hair.

"Were you grounded again?"

Judging by what Jean had said that morning, Klee had probably gone fishing… with explosives.

And if she'd only shown up now, it meant she'd likely been caught.

"Hee-hee, Brother Han Feng is amazing—you guessed it right away!"

Klee scratched her head sheepishly.

"It's just that… the first time I rode a dragon to go fish-bombing, I wasn't careful enough.

Next time I'll make sure Captain Jean doesn't find out!"

"Good! Learning from your mistakes—very commendable!"

Han Feng chuckled.

Then the two launched into an enthusiastic discussion on fishing tactics— how to throw bombs to make the explosions prettier, how to make the fish fly higher before they land…

Noelle, listening nearby, could only stare blankly.

"Unbelievable… one's teaching, and one's actually listening."

She sighed.

"Boss, if Klee gets locked up again, it'll definitely be partly your fault."

"Don't worry, Brother Han Feng!" Klee declared solemnly.

"Klee will never get caught by Captain Jean again!

And even if she does, she'll never tell her about you!"

"Brother believes you."

Han Feng grinned and pinched her cheek again.

"As a reward, I'll tell you a secret—there's a manga on that shelf about bombs!"

"A manga about bombs? Really, Brother Han Feng?!"

Klee's eyes sparkled like stars.

"Yup. It's called Runeterra.

There's someone in there who's really good at making bombs.

Hurry and read it before Barbara catches up."

"Okay okay!"

Klee bounced up on her toes, planted a quick kiss on his cheek,

"Thank you, Brother Han Feng!"

dropped a little pouch of Mora on the counter, and scampered off toward the shelves.

She quickly found the volume, hugged it to her chest, and dashed into the reading area.

"Boss, you seem to like Klee a lot," Noelle said, watching the two with a smile.

They'd been chatting so warmly—it was hard not to notice.

"Who doesn't like a kid like her?"

Han Feng smiled.

In his previous life, when he played Genshin Impact, he'd loved using Klee to explore the map.

Power? Efficiency? None of that mattered.

Being adorable was enough!

"That's true."

Noelle nodded, watching Klee read with unrestrained joy.

It was easy to see why the Spark Knight was the Knights of Favonius' mascot.

A few minutes later, Barbara and Mona walked into the store hand-in-hand.

"Boss Han, we're back to read again!"

Barbara waved cheerfully.

"Whoa… this place looks completely different from yesterday!"

Mona's eyes widened as she glanced around.

Everything had changed—displays, decorations, even the lighting.

"You're right! It's just like big-sister Jean said!"

Barbara looked around in amazement.

Jean had told them the store changed mysteriously from time to time— but seeing it in person was another thing entirely.

All the little figurines on display looked fascinating.

Jean had called them "figures," apparently.

"Welcome, both of you."

Han Feng greeted them warmly, then looked curiously at Mona.

"So—you've officially joined the Knights of Favonius?"

"Mm-hmm! Thanks to Miss Noelle's recommendation, Captain Jean even gave me a post and an advance on my salary."

Mona looked a little embarrassed.

If not for that advance, she wouldn't even have enough Mora to read manga.

As for the debt she owed Lumine—well, she still hadn't run into her again.

"Miss Mona is an amazing astrologist," Barbara chimed in.

"She's been a huge help to the Knights!"

"It's mostly thanks to the crystal ball I got from Boss Han," Mona admitted modestly.

"It works perfectly with my astrology. My divinations are much faster now."

She smiled sincerely.

Ever since she received that reward, her predictions had become frighteningly accurate.

Her gratitude toward the mysterious shopkeeper only grew deeper.

"By the way, Boss Han, have you seen Klee?"

Barbara asked, suddenly remembering the real reason she'd come.

Klee had sprinted ahead of them earlier.

"She's already got a manga and is reading in the back."

Han Feng answered calmly.

"What manga is she reading?"

Barbara quickly followed up—Jean's voice echoed in her head, reminding her to keep Klee away from anything violent or dangerous.

"Hmm… it's a story about nations rising and falling, filled with heroic deeds and noble sacrifices," Han Feng said with a perfectly straight face.

Which, technically, wasn't a lie.

Runeterra did cover the fates of various nations—like Demacia— and it was indeed full of heroic figures.

He'd merely… left out a small detail or two.

"A story about nations and heroes? Can Klee even understand something like that?"

Barbara asked worriedly.

Klee was still just a child; concepts like war and destiny were far too distant for her.

"You're mistaken," Han Feng said, shaking his head.

"Precisely because she's young, it's important to start educating her early."

He pointed toward the reading area.

"See how happy she looks?"

Barbara followed his gaze— and sure enough, Klee was sitting cross-legged on a chair, giggling and flipping through pages with rapt attention.

That kind of concentration…

Barbara had only ever seen it when Klee was tinkering with her bombs.

And Klee was indeed having the time of her life.

From the moment she'd heard that the manga featured a bomb expert, she couldn't wait to see him.

As soon as she reached the section on Piltover, she finally found him—

"So this is him! His name's Ziggs—and he's a Yordle!

Wow, he's even shorter than Klee!"

Klee's eyes sparkled with fascination as she stared at the little figure on the page, the tiny creature grinning wildly while juggling explosives.

Before long, Klee was completely immersed in the story— heart pounding with excitement as she read about a genius demolitions expert whose love for explosions shook entire cities.
