100X RETURNS SYSTEM: I DOMINATE THE AGE OF GODSC44. Stepping into training - 2
Chapter 44: 44. Stepping into training - 2
10 years inside the Domain of Infinity...
Almost ten full years had passed since Will began the second phase of his training inside the Domain of Infinity.
Time within this place flowed differently, and the outside world had barely moved forward, but for him those ten years had been long, relentless, and exhausting.
Every single day had been spent refining what he had started long ago, without shortcuts and without escape.
The first form of the God-ranked technique,Heaven Sundering Divine Sword Art, known as Origin Severance, had become the center of his life.
Right now, Will stood in front of the same cliff that had tested him a decade earlier.
Back then, he had failed miserably by comparison. His attack had obliterated the mountain's peak, but it had been violent, and uncontrolled. The destruction had come from excess force rather than proper control..
This time, he was ready to demonstrate control that he lacked earlier.
The cliff towered silently before him, unchanged by time due to the rules of the domain. The air was still, the sky was clear, and the mana in the atmosphere flowed calmly, as if waiting for his decision.
Huff...!!
Will exhaled slowly, releasing a measured breath. His shoulders relaxed as he let the tension drain from his body.
His heartbeat steadied, and his mind became clear.
"It i all about execution." he repeated to himself.
In the next instant, his posture shifted.
The relaxed stance vanished, replaced by one that was stable, grounded, and deliberate. His empty hands moved naturally, and the hilt of the Crimson Aeon Blade appeared within his grasp as if it had always been there.
The blade shimmered faintly under the open sky, its silver-white edge reflecting the light as it responded to its wielder's intent. There was no surge of mana and no violent pressure. Everything about this moment was subtle.
Will swung the sword in a simple horizontal motion.
There was no flourish, no dramatic movement, and no visible strain in his body.
Slash
sliiiiinnnnnnnng
Instead of an explosion or a shockwave, a sharp, piercing sound cut through the air. A thin line of sword energy surged forward from the blade, traveling in a perfectly straight path toward the cliff.
The energy struck the mountain cleanly.
dhhmm!!
A muted, heavy sound echoed through the domain as the cliff reacted. For a brief moment, nothing seemed to happen. Then, slowly and steadily, the upper half of the mountain separated from the lower half.
The two halves remained aligned, settling back into place with eerie precision. The gap between them was incredibly thin, less than half an inch wide, as if a glitch in reality had happened.
There was no debris that fell. No dust rose.
The cut was flawless.
[congratulations host, you have reached the newbie stage of origin reverence, you will now reflect 40 percent of the sword damage, and will be able to use sovereign sword intent for a longer time without exhausting, your control has been enhanced as well]
Will remained still as the system's notification echoed in his mind. He lowered the blade slowly and let out a quiet breath. His muscles ached faintly, but there was no exhaustion or backlash.
The control he had gained was undeniable.
He knew this was only the newbie stage.
At perfection, the first form would reflect one hundred percent of sword-based attacks, and sovereign sword intent would become as effortless as breathing. Even now, however, the difference between his past self and his current state was enormous.
Despite receiving one hundred times the sword experience of both the main protagonist and the main villain, mastering a God-ranked technique had not been easy. Their understanding had saved him years of blind practice, but it had not reduced the physical and mental strain required.
The technique itself was a forge.
It tempered his body, sharpened his intent, and refined his perception every time he practiced. There was no shortcut through it, no matter how much experience he accumulated.
Will clenched his fist slowly and felt the subtle change in strength ripple through his body. It was not explosive, but it was solid and reliable.
[host let's return for a day, your master seems to have returned]
"ok"
The domain dissolved around him.
Will reappeared inside his room in the floating island mansion. The transition was smooth, and he landed lightly on the soft surface of the bed without intending to.
"ugh!! so soft"
The words left his mouth instinctively.
"tsk, don't you know the word consent?"
(#°Д°)
The voice snapped him out of his comfort instantly.
"WTF, what are you doing in my room?" Will stood up immediately, his body tensing as realization hit him. It was not the mattress that had felt soft.
"I should be the one asking, tell me, what were you doing on my body??" Tamasya replied, her tone deliberately provocative.
As she watched the embarrassment spread across Will's face, a grin formed slowly on her lips.
"hahaha, look at your self"
Will chose to ignore her completely.
He walked toward a nearby chair with measured steps and sat down, crossing his arms calmly as if nothing unusual had happened.
"so"
"so what?"
He gave her a look that clearly asked why she was here.
"tsk, can't I come to meet my disciple"
"Well you don't come in a battle suit when it's for just chatting"
"oh well, since you know I am not for funny talk, why don't you start by telling me why can I sense only sword intent but no cultivation from you?"
"isn't it obvious, I haven't started cultivating"
"SIGH!!"
"what?"
"do you have any shame?"
Tamasya stared at Will as he made an expression that suggested deep emotional damage.
"you act like, all this is normal!! even a prodigy awakens sword intent in the later stages of cultivation when they are strong enough to control its weight and sharpness"
She leaned forward slightly, her tone sharpening.
"but look at you, manaless hollow hump that can somehow wield the most coveted power and your body is alright while your intent is almost leaking out"
"ugh!!, I mean I don't have a choice!!" Will replied, his voice edged with frustration before he fell silent again.
The room remained quiet for several seconds.
Finally, Tamasya adjusted her posture and sat upright instead of lounging casually as before. Her expression shifted from teasing to something more focused.
"well, I wanted to give you a shadow elemental technique but shadow told me you won't need it, so here is something other than that which is quite useful even to you."
She extended her hand and placed a book on the table in front of him.
The cover bore a clear title:
Shadow-Born Manifestation Spell
Will looked at the book, his interest immediately piqued as the weight of what she was offering began to sink in.

100X RETURNS SYSTEM: I DOMINATE THE AGE OF GODSC45. Heaven-Piercing Archer - 1
Chapter 45: 45. Heaven-Piercing Archer - 1
"This is a technique I created, with this you can make shadow borns as well, there is no rank to this technique since it isn't complete"
Tamasya spoke with a smile as she handed the rough parchment on which she had written the technique.
The parchment itself looked old, not because of decay, but because it had been rewritten, revised, and scratched over countless times.
Dark ink layered upon older strokes, and several sections were clearly rewritten with sharper precision, as if she had refined certain ideas while leaving others deliberately unfinished.
It did not feel like a polished technique.
Instead, it felt like a living technique, something still evolving alongside its creator.
Will accepted it carefully, his fingers brushing against the surface as he scanned the writing instinctively. He did not try to understand it immediately.
He could sense the complexity contained within those words, and he knew this was not something meant to be absorbed in a single glance.
He smiled sincerely and bowed to her.
"thanks a lot master, please take care of me in the future"
There was no exaggeration in his tone and no hidden intent behind the words. He meant them in the most straightforward way possible.
"yes I will" she said with a warm smile
For a brief moment, the tension that had always surrounded Tamasya softened. The expression on her face was neither cold nor distant. It was calm, almost gentle, as if she was allowing herself to exist without armor for once.
They spent the next few hours talking.
The conversation did not revolve around grand plans or ancient wars.
Instead, it drifted naturally from topic to topic.
Tamasya spoke about fragments of the past she deemed harmless, and Will shared small anecdotes from his time as a chocolate seller in the capital, his experiences and his strange circumstances.
There were moments of silence where neither felt the need to speak, and there were moments where laughter surfaced unexpectedly.
Eventually, Tamasya stood up.
"I am going to meet an old friend of mine"
Her tone was casual, but Will could tell that the matter was not insignificant. He hesitated for a moment before voicing the concern that had been lingering in his mind for days.
"hmm, I am noticing that you aren't hiding your presence particularly, aren't you afraid that the gods who imprisoned you might notice"
Tamasya turned back toward him and smiled faintly.
"those gods are outsiders, they cannot simply pry their senses into the World, and so they cannot sense me, even last time it was the natives of this world who had betrayed me, and held a ritual to summon those gods to obstruct my ascension"
Her voice remained steady as she spoke, but there was a sharp edge beneath the calm.
"now, I will eventually kill those people, but before that I need to gather allies, and that is why I am going where I am going so don't worry"
As she finished speaking, her silhouette began to fade, dissolving into the surrounding shadows as naturally as smoke dispersing in air.
Will watched quietly.
He already knew how she was traveling. It was the same path she had used to bring him to the floating island. The shadows themselves responded to her presence.
[Host let me remind you a mark of destiny has been placed on Individual Tamasya, you will be informed if she is in danger, though you won't be able to help much]
"ohh!! I completely forgot"
Will exhaled softly, rubbing the back of his head.
He understood what that meant. A mark of destiny was only placed on individuals whose destined death had been altered by his actions. Tamasya was the first being to carry such a mark, and that alone spoke volumes about how much he had disrupted the flow of fate.
[why don't you share her senses and see where she is going, also why not share her talents as well]
Will shook his head slowly.
"umm, I think I should wait we are not that close yet, if I try to look through her senses then she would know since mark of destiny is an equivalent relation not like the slave mark."
He paused briefly before continuing.
"and about sharing talents, I don't have a particularly special talent that I could give her, The lawless adaptation can't be shared since it is a supreme talent."
He leaned back slightly, thinking more carefully.
"Regarding the talents of archery and spirit transformation I just received, I think those are a different path and don't compliment her powers, so when I get a good talent I will exchange it for one of hers if she allows"
[fine, now how about you get your ass in there and start training again]
Will groaned lightly.
"ugh wait a min at least let me grab something to eat", I don't like the bland rations inside the infinity space"
A few minutes later, Will disappeared from the floating island.
When he reappeared inside the Domain of Infinity, the environment had reset itself again.
The silence here was absolute, broken only by the subtle hum of energy in the air.
"now show me the effect of the talents I gained from Leila"
[understood]
The system panel materialized in front of him.
----------
Heaven-Piercing Archer (Legendary)
Effects:
Piercing Sight – Vastly enhanced vision, the host can clearly perceive targets, weak points, and movement patterns across extreme distances spanning thousands of kilometers, fog and other interferences cannot block host's sight.
Elemental Arrow Infusion – The host can fuse one or more elemental spells into arrows unleashing the spells on contact with the target.
Target lock – Arrows automatically adjust mid-flight to a certain degree maintaining optimal paths, correcting for evasion, terrain, and environmental factors.
ghost shot: arrows have a piercing effect on non-physical constructs like illusions, ghosts and spirits.
Extended Stability – Arrows don't lose power with distance.
Bow Technique Mastery – Any bow battle technique can be mastered rapidly, understanding of the execution of bow techniques comes naturally
---------
Will read through the effects carefully, his expression gradually shifting from curiosity to satisfaction.
"Woah nice, it's good that I have a bow talent as well, versatility is always welcomed"
He was not exaggerating. Having a secondary combat path that did not interfere with his sword cultivation instead it opened up many possibilities.
Ranged combat, control-based encounters, and precision strikes were all areas where a sword alone could not always dominate.
[why don't you try practicing a bow now]
Will nodded instinctively, then paused.
"well, I don't have a bow, let me check the shop, how much for a wooden practice bow ?"
[only a cheap price of 100sp]
Will stared blankly at the system interface for a moment before his expression darkened.
"fck off bitch I don't have that much, give me something for 2 SP"
The silence that followed was heavy.
The system did not respond immediately, which only made Will more irritated as he crossed his arms and looked toward the endless sky of the domain.

100X RETURNS SYSTEM: I DOMINATE THE AGE OF GODSC46. Heaven-Piercing Archer - 2
Chapter 46: 46. Heaven-Piercing Archer - 2
stinnnnng...
The sound rang out clearly through the vast open space of the Domain of Infinity as the arrow left the bowstring.
The vibration lingered for a brief moment in the air before fading into silence, leaving only the faint echo of its passage.
Will stood with his feet planted firmly into the ground, his posture relaxed but attentive, while his fingers loosened around the simple wooden training bow in his hands.
The bow itself was unimpressive by any standard. It was roughly carved, slightly uneven in curvature, and clearly meant for beginners or children who were just learning the basics of archery. Yet despite its crude construction, the weapon felt strangely responsive in his grip.
It had been a few days since he began experimenting seriously with the bow after acquiring the Heaven-Piercing Archer talent, and during that time he had tested nearly every aspect of the ability that he could manage without proper equipment.
Each day inside the domain had been spent firing arrows into the distance, observing trajectories, testing range limits, and deliberately activating different effects one at a time to understand how they behaved in isolation.
The most delightful discovery during these experiments had been the ease with which he could infuse arrows with stellar fire.
Thanks to the elemental arrow infusion effect of the talent, the process felt almost instinctive.
He did not need to concentrate heavily, or calculate timing.
The moment he willed it, the arrow accepted the energy naturally, as if it had been waiting for the command.
Golden-white flames clung tightly to the arrowhead without dispersing, and when fired, the arrow cut cleanly through the air without losing stability.
There was no chaotic explosion, no uncontrolled flare. The stellar fire remained condensed and disciplined, burning only what Will intended it to burn.
The most recent shot, however, had been fired for a different reason.
This time, Will wanted to verify the extended stabilityeffect.
He had drawn the bowstring slowly, deliberately limiting his strength so that the arrow would be fired with what should have been an ordinary amount of force.
The release had been smooth, and the arrow had flown forward in a straight line without wavering. What shocked him was not the speed, but the persistence.
The arrow did not arc downward.
It did not lose momentum.
It simply continued forward, cutting through the air for kilometers without any visible drop in velocity before finally embedding itself deep into the bark of a massive tree far beyond what should have been the effective range of such a bow.
Will lowered the bow slowly, his expression tightening as realization settled in.
He exhaled quietly.
In his hands was just a simple wooden training bow, and the effects were already this exaggerated. The thought of what would happen if he used a high-grade bow, or even a divine-rank artifact, sent a faint shiver down his spine.
With proper equipment, he could easily wreak havoc across an entire battlefield from distances that most enemies would not even consider threatening.
The only thing missing was bow intent.
Unlike sword intent, which he had already grasped through training, bow intent required a different form of understanding.
It was not about cutting or dominance, but about focus, patience, and absolute clarity of aim.
However, Will did not feel any anxiety over that gap.
Leila existed.
She would be his source of all bow-related experience in the future, just as Ethan and Maximus served as anchors for sword-based growth.
His main weapon remained the sword, and he had no intention of abandoning that path.
The bow was meant to be a secondary option, a complementary tool that expanded his versatility rather than redefining his identity as a combatant.
Even with bow techniques, he planned to let Leila do the actual practice while he reaped the benefits through the bond of the system.
With that thought settled, Will relaxed his shoulders and spoke aloud.
"System show me my status window"
The familiar translucent interface appeared instantly in front of him.

Will examined the status window carefully, scanning each section without rushing. The structure was familiar, but the contents had grown steadily more absurd with every update.
Despite that, the numbers and ranks felt earned rather than hollow. Every line represented pain endured, risks taken, and decisions made under pressure.
Looking at the display, Will felt satisfied.
The system's voice sounded immediately after.
[it's about time you start cultivating, the monthly free purchase cool down has ended]
A grin spread across Will's face.
"hehe, then what are you waiting for, purchase that damn thing!!"
[ding! understood]
[ding!! monthly free purchase has been claimed]
[ding!! you have bought energy fusion core]
[host brace your self]
Will blinked.
"hmm!! why, is it painful??"
The system responded without sympathy.
[just bite a cloth and sit down]
Confusion crept into his expression.
"wait why!! ...what"
The answer arrived immediately.
"AAAAAARRRGHHHHHH!!!!"
A scream tore violently from Will's throat as agony flooded his body. The sensation was not localized, nor was it dull or gradual. His mana core was being forcibly displaced, its position within his body shifting while another structure was being implanted alongside it.
The pain was immediate and overwhelming.
It felt as if invisible hands were tearing through his chest, rearranging something fundamental while his nerves screamed in protest.
His soul itself seemed to shudder as energy pathways were torn apart and reforged. He collapsed to one knee, his vision blurring while his breathing became erratic and shallow.
The fusion core was not replacing his mana core.
It was being added.
The process was brutal because it violated one of the most absolute rules of the world.
In Aris, a person could only ever possess one energy core.
This was not a belief or tradition. It was a natural law.
As the pain continued to rip through him, Will clenched his teeth and forced himself to stay conscious.
Over time, the sensation shifted from sharp destruction into a deep, burning pressure as the two cores stabilized in parallel.
His mana and energy channels adapted under the influence of Lawless Adaptation, preventing catastrophic collapse.
The pain remained intense, but it was no longer fatal.
These days, such suffering had become disturbingly common for him.
However, this did not mean he had grown numb to it. His body trembled as sweat drenched his clothes, and his muscles locked and released involuntarily.
Yet even through the agony, Will knew one thing.
This was worth it.
In the world of Aris, there were three recognized types of awakened individuals.
Warriors relied on physical reinforcement and mana circulation through weapon techniques and mana cultivation.
Mages focused on mana manipulation through spells and formations.
Spiritual cultivators, the rarest of all, used spiritual energy, which possessed properties far more subtle and potent than mana.
Mana and spiritual energy were similar in structure, but spiritual energy was rarer, more refined, and far harder to cultivate.
As a result, spirit cultivators were respected almost universally, and their presence alone could alter political and military balances.
Energy in Aris was controlled through cores.
A person was born with either a mana core or, in rare cases, a spiritual core. Once awakened, that core defined the path they would follow for the rest of their life. No exceptions existed.
Except now.
The girl Will had encountered in the forest during his journey had been a spiritual cultivator, which explained her abilities and the pressure she had exuded without visible effort.
The fusion core shattered the limitation entirely.
Its primary function was simple in concept but terrifying in implication.
It allowed the host to control and cultivate any type of energy.
Not just mana or spiritual energy, but energies from outside the world itself. Demonic energy, abyssal energy, nether energy, and others that existed beyond Aris' native system could all be integrated safely.
With the fusion core, Will could cultivate multiple energy systems in parallel.
He already possessed a mana core.
Now, he had the foundation to expand far beyond it.
As the pain finally began to subside, Will collapsed backward, gasping for breath while his body adjusted to the new internal structure. His nerves still burned, and his muscles trembled, but the worst had passed.
The pain had been unbearable.
But the reward was worth every second of it.

-------------
Sovereign Spirit Transformer (Legendary)
Effects:
Spirit Possession: The host may temporarily merge with a contracted spirit, gaining its elemental abilities and undergoing partial or full physical transformation.
Sequential Possession: The host can undergo multiple spirit possessions during a single battle, limited only by stamina and mental focus.
Element-Adaptive Techniques: While possessed, the host can fuse their own elemental affinities with the spirit's skills, creating compound attacks with layered and lethal effects.
Shared Growth Combat: while transformed permanently increases the host's perception, control, and compatibility with the possessed spirit's element.
Minimal Backlash Transformation: backlash is heavily reduced, fatigue and strain are manageable and recover quickly after disengagement.
Spirit Skill Assimilation Repeated: possession allows the host to retain fragments of spirit skills, enabling limited use even without transformation.
Transformation Stability Possession: remains stable even under heavy damage, interference, or environmental disruption.
Combat Instinct Synchronization: The host inherits the spirit's combat instincts and elemental intuition, drastically improving reaction speed and technique execution.
Emergency Spirit Shift: At critical moments, the host may instantly switch possession to another contracted spirit to evade fatal damage or counterattack.
------------------------------
The translucent system screen hovered steadily in front of Will.
The list of effects belonging to the Sovereign Spirit Transformer talent remained displayed, glowing faintly in the air as if waiting for him to come to a conclusion.
He stood at the perimeter of his small hut inside the Domain of Infinity, one hand resting loosely at his side.
The hut itself had long since stopped feeling temporary. Over the years it had become familiar, even comforting, despite its simple structure and sparse furnishings.
"well I still have to get some summoning ability."
He spoke, as his gaze remained fixed on the screen. The talent itself was powerful, undeniably so, but without spirits to contract or summon, its potential remained unutilised.
Roughly six months had passed in the outside world since Will last emerged. However, within the Domain of Infinity, time had flowed very differently.
By his own estimation, close to one hundred and seventy years had passed since he began this phase of training.
The passage of time was not something he felt acutely anymore, but the changes it had brought were undeniable.
Will himself had undergone immense transformation.
After acquiring the fusion core, cultivation had become a central focus of his daily routine. Unlike before.
The most significant contributor to his rapid progress had been the 100x cultivation feedback from the four bound main cast.
Although Will had long since surpassed each of them in terms of rank, the multiplied feedback still carried immense value. The insights, refinements, and minor breakthroughs experienced by his bonds were amplified and fedback into him continuously.
Even small gains compounded rapidly under such conditions.
Still the foundation of his cultivation lay in a God-rank technique.
Primordial God Flow Scripture.
It had been hand-picked by the system during a free purchase opportunity, and in hindsight, Will understood why.
The scripture did not restrict the cultivator to a single energy type. Instead, it treated energy itself as a flowing concept, allowing multiple forms of power to coexist within the same framework.
The technique did not change its breathing patterns regardless of the energy being cultivated.
What changed was the internal flow. Mana circulation could be diverted seamlessly toward the mana core. While Spiritual energy cound be diverted to spiritual core.
The adaptability of the scripture made it uniquely suited to Will's condition, especially after the fusion core had been integrated.
With its help, Will had cultivated three distinct energies.
Mana.
Spiritual energy.
Demonic energy.
The decision to cultivate demonic energy had not come easily. Will despised demons on a fundamental level, and his past experiences ensured that his hatred was not shallow or symbolic.
However, practicality had overridden sentiment. Demonic energy possessed qualities that were difficult to replicate through other means. It was inherently destructive, violent, and overwhelmingly aggressive.
That same aggression was what made it dangerous.
Demonic energy was notorious for eroding its wielder's body from within. Unless the physical vessel was exceptionally sturdy like the demons, prolonged use would result in irreversible damage or complete collapse.
Many demonic cult cultivators especially human ones died due to backlash or became twisted abominations incapable of rational thought.
When Will first formed a demonic core and cultivated it to the level of the other two cores, the consequences had been immediate.
The energy surged violently, attempting to consume everything around it. It lashed out instinctively, seeking to destroy both the mana cores and the spiritual cores that already existed within his body.
For a brief moment, the internal balance of his body had been on the verge of catastrophic failure.
At that crucial moment Lawless Adaptationhad intervened.
The talent asserted itself without hesitation, suppressing the destructive interaction before it could spiral out of control.
At this point, Will could not imagine surviving without that talent.
Even after stabilization, the situation remained volatile.
His Light and SUN affinities reacted violently to the presence of demonicenergy, instinctively attempting to purify it.
The clash between opposing energies should have torn him apart repeatedly. Instead, Lawless Adaptation mediated continuously, maintaining equilibrium between forces that should never have shared the same body.
And right now all the conflicting forces somehow were resting calmly inside his body thanks to the talent.
[anyway host you have already reached S rank in all three cultivations, you now stand at the pinnacle of this generation]
even though his mana core was progressing faster than the other two core due to all the feed back, His cultivation remained slow due to the nature of the primodial godflow stripture,
the scripture did not allow use of any elixirs or other supports from arrays or artifacts, just pure slow burning cultivation was allowed.
[Not using any external aid has it's benifits, you potential will never diminish, and since it is a god rank scripture the progress is expected to be slow, but the amount of pricise control on all the energy it grants cannot be matched by any normal techniques]
Will did not respond immediately. He turned his gaze upward toward the sun suspended in the domain's sky, its light bathing the land below in a steady glow.
the scripture also provided the ability to inter convert different energies, now that Will had three energy cores he had almost three times the energy reserve of a normal S ranked individual.
"yeah but the most interesting part is that the shadow borne art still hasn't reached perfection"
His tone carried faint frustration, though it was restrained.
Despite spending nearly the first fifty years cultivating three separate energies to S rank, and the rest dedicated to this art, the Shadow Born Manifestation Art lagged behind.
Even after more than one hundred and twenty years of effort, he had only reached the beginner stage of the incomplete technique.
Progress had been painfully slow.
At his current level, Will could conjure simple shadow constructs. Small animals, vaguely humanoid figures, and basic shapes were all within his capabilities.
However, these manifestations drained his mana rapidly, despite his vast reserves. Maintaining them required constant focus, and even then, their operational duration rarely exceeded a few hours.
The constructs could perform simple tasks when given direct instructions. Sweeping, guarding, carrying, or standing watch were manageable.
However, the moment any complexity was introduced, they faltered. Commands that required interpretation or adaptation caused confusion, leading to delayed reactions or complete breakdowns.
In that sense, they were even more mechanical than Tamasya's shadow borns.
Tamasya's constructs, though lacking true consciousness, responded with a fluidity that suggested deeper conceptual anchoring.
Will's manifestations felt crude by comparison, as though they were imitations rather than genuine extensions of shadow.
Will released a slow breath.
It had taken him more than one hundred and twenty years to reach the beginner stage of the Shadow Born Manifestation Art.
By comparison, Ethan had reached the intermediate stage of a saint-ranked sword technique in a single month, although progressing beyond that point had taken him significantly longer.
The disparity was irritating, even though Will understood it logically.
The system spoke again.
[host don't compare techniques, every technique requires different conditions, for the shadow born manifestation technique you need deep understanding of shadow element which is a derivative of darkness element, if it was a darkness technique your absolute affinity would have helped you reach grandmaster stage directly]
Will tilted his head slightly as he processed the explanation.
"so if I gain the shadow affinity, I can master this technique better?"
[affirmative]
A brief silence followed.
"at this point I know if I ask you the price of shadow affinity in shop, you will just tell me a big ass price I could never afford like 2 trillion or something"
The system responded instantly.
[actually it's 2 zillion, but yeah you know the drill]
"tsk, shameless"

100X RETURNS SYSTEM: I DOMINATE THE AGE OF GODSC48 Glimple of the Sun - 1
Chapter 48: 48 Glimple of the Sun - 1
"Nope, you won't go," Tamasya said while shaking her head.
Her tone was firm and final, leaving no space for immediate argument.
She stood with her arms crossed, posture relaxed but expression resolute, as though the decision had already been made long before the words left her mouth.
The shadows around her responded subtly, their movement slowing as if mirroring her stance.
"But why!!!, I am strong enough to enter" Will said in defiance.
He straightened as he spoke, his voice steady but edged with irritation. Will had already calculated his strength several times over, both objectively and through instinct, and each calculation had led him to the same conclusion.
He was not weak. And he was certainly not someone who needed to be sheltered in a gold mansion at this stage.
"I don't know from where you got an entry pass, but no!! abyssal nodes are extremely dangerous even for you, the academy entrance is in just a few weeks now, and I want you in the best shape, if you don't dominate the exam and break a few individuals for me, I will crush you again,"
she spoke like an elder sibling denying him any chance to prove himself and just shook her head.
The way she spoke was infuriating in its familiarity. It was not the voice of a tyrant or a ruler issuing commands. It was the voice of someone who had already decided what was best for him and refused to entertain any counterarguments. The threat at the end, delivered casually, only made the message more frustrating.
"I don't even understand why you want to go to that place. I mean go to some forest hunting monsters or something, why do you want to go to the abyss!!"
Her brows furrowed as she spoke, and her gaze searched his face as if genuinely trying to understand what compelled him toward such a reckless destination.
To her, the abyss was not a training ground. It was a graveyard that devoured the overconfident and the unlucky alike.
"I want to go there to gain experience and also bully demons," Will said with a puffed out chest.
The words left him without hesitation, and despite the seriousness of the topic, his posture betrayed a faint hint of stubborn pride. The idea of confronting demons directly was not something that frightened him. If anything, it was something he looked forward to.
After a few rounds of banter Tamasya finally caved in a bit.
"Well if you want to go you have to complete a task of mine," Tamasya said with her brows raised in delight as she leaned forward.
The shift in her demeanor was gradual. The refusal softened into intrigue, and a glint of amusement appeared in her eyes. She straightened slightly, clearly pleased that she now held leverage.
"Tsk, what is it," Will asked in annoyance.
His irritation was plain, but he did not retreat.
After so many months living with her, experience had taught him that negotiations with Tamasya often came with unexpected conditions, and resisting outright rarely led anywhere productive.
Tamasya just handed him a scroll.
The parchment was new, its surface marked with faint runes that pulsed softly, as though responding to her presence. Will accepted it carefully, immediately sensing that it was no ordinary message.
"Well this is a scroll I need to deliver to my friend in the nearby empire The holy sun empire. I personally can't deliver this due to certain reasons. I want you to deliver this message to her, the scroll will react once it comes in her proximity."
Her voice remained calm, but there was tension beneath it, the kind that came from long-standing grudges and unfinished business. The mention of the Holy Sun Empire alone carried weight.
"Why do you need me? you are stronger can't you just go there and do this," Will asked in annoyance, the question slipping out before he could restrain it.
The Holy Sun Empire shared its south-east borders with the Riverdale Empire. It was not some distant, obscure territory. It was a powerful empire deeply intertwined with religious authority, and that alone made the request troubling.
"As I told you, I can't go, the empire is ruled by the Church and the pope who is the dog of god of light and the light faction."
Her expression darkened as she spoke, and the shadows at her feet grew restless, responding to the hostility in her tone.
"I am considered their mortal enemy, the pope would know at once if I go, but you are different, your affinities are masked for reasons only you know, aside from your mana rank I can't sense a thing so you are perfect for this."
She studied him carefully as she said this, as though reassessing his value as a disciple.
"If you deliver this, you are allowed to go to the abyssal node."
The condition hung heavily in the air.
"But if the church is your enemy then why is your friend living in that empire?" Will asked noticing the contradiction.
He narrowed his eyes slightly, unwilling to accept half-answers. The logic did not align, and Will had the habbit of not ignoring such inconsistencies.
"She is not living there willingly, she is imprisoned in the imperial palace's underground dungeon."
The words were sharp, and for a brief moment, Tamasya's composure cracked.
As she spoke, a grim expression appeared on her face. The anger simmering beneath her calm surface surged dangerously close to breaking free.
Although she restrained it, Will could sense the pressure in the air shift, as if the shadows themselves were reacting to her emotions.
The silence stretched before she continued.
"If you get caught while infiltrating the empire it means you are not ready for the abyssal node, if that happens I will barge there and save you, although it will be at the risk of exposing my identity to the gods."
Tamasya spoke plainly, as though discussing an inconvenience rather than a catastrophic consequence. Her words, however, produced a grim expression on Will's face.
"She is taking such blatant, unthought out risk."
The thought crossed his mind before he could stop it.
[That's how I have been feeling with you since the start, you and her are the same, both of you are mad in that sense]
Will's face twitched listening to the system's blunt honesty. He did not retort, because deep down he knew it was true. Recklessness had a way of masquerading as resolve when conviction was strong enough to make you mad.
Will's resolve was to get stronger, and he took reckless risks for that ambition.
"Ok, I accept this deal, I will deliver this letter."
Will smiled confidently as he looked at Tamasya, who returned his gaze with a sharp, analyzing expression.
She did not smile back. Instead, she evaluated him in silence, as if trying to decide whether this was bravery or foolishness.
"Shadow, are you sure he won't be caught?"
<"Goddamn woman just let your companion go for once he is perfect for the task and no good will come to him just sitting here rotting beneath you, don't worry even in the sun empire I will be watching over him.">
Shadow's tone carried familiarity and mild irritation, and the way it referred to Will was not new.
Shadow casually calling William Tamasya's companion did not surprise her. After all, she shared everything with Shadow, and it was common knowledge between them how she looked at Will.
"When do you want to go?" Tamasya asked silently accepting Shadow's advice.
"Right now," Will said calmly.
<"Tsk, where is this type of confidence coming from?">
The voice surfaced unbidden in her mind. She studied him for a moment longer before sighing faintly.
"Ok, get ready, I will teleport you to the empire's border."
With a wave of her hand, tendrils of darkness surged forward, wrapping around William's body like living shadows.
Before he could respond, the world around him folded inward, and his figure disappeared instantly from the room.
Thousands of kilometers away, William's figure appeared in the open sky.
Gravity reclaimed him immediately.
He started free-falling.
[fuck!!! At this mad bitch wants to kill you, I just know it!!]

100X RETURNS SYSTEM: I DOMINATE THE AGE OF GODSC49. Glimple of the sun - 2
Chapter 49: 49. Glimple of the sun - 2
"MOM!! Look, is that a shooting star?"
"No, darling, stars are sacred; they never fall. That must be a blessing from the heavens for His Highness Pope Winston."
Inside the imperial capital of the Holy Sun Empire, countless people had paused in their daily routines and turned their gazes skyward.
Merchants halted their carts, guards rested their spears against stone walls, and families gathered along balconies and streets as fragments of scattered light streaked across the sky.
To the common folk, the falling lights were nothing more than a rare celestial phenomenon, interpreted instinctively through faith rather than logic.
The Holy Sun Empire was a place where coincidence rarely existed without divine explanation. Any unexplained event was immediately framed as a sign of approval, favor, or warning from the heavens.
For this incident the explanation had been chosen quickly and without doubt. Blessings for Pope Winston, blessings for the Church. Blessings for the empire itself.
None of them realized how wrong they were.
A few minutes ago...
[fuck!! This bitch teleported you so high above the ground.
"Calm down, System, I can handle this," Will said.
His voice remained steady despite the violent wind tearing past his ears and the ground rushing toward him at an alarming speed.
His body was already reacting, instincts sharpened by decades of training inside the Domain of Infinity. Panic had long since stopped being useful to him.
[I know this but she didn't]
"Maybe she was testing me; now if you just shut up and let me do my work."
Will adjusted his posture mid-fall with practiced ease, twisting his body to reduce drag and shifting into a controlled glide rather than a straight descent.
The air pressure screamed against his skin, but his muscles remained relaxed and responsive.
In an instant, the Crimson Aeon Blade materialized in his hand.
The blade shimmered briefly before its invisibility trait, acquired from nether dweller blood, activated completely.
Will's figure vanished from sight, swallowed by the empty air as if he had never existed. Even the distortion caused by his movement faded, leaving nothing.
Sovereign sword intent
surged outward.
Golden energy flared around him, forming a radiant streak that cut through the darkness of the evening sky.
For reasons, he did not fully understand, the surging sword intent was not masked at all.
Instead of worrying about it, Will adjusted his trajectory so that the golden flakes scattered and fragmented, blending into the atmosphere rather than forming a solid trail.
The sword intent reacted instantly to his will.
It propelled his body upward, canceling his fall and launching him forward at extreme speed.
The violent downward momentum reversed into controlled flight as he blasted toward the imperial capital, following the mental map he had memorized while preparing for his journey to the abyssal node.
[hahaha!! Don't you feel like Iron Man!! ヾ(≧▽≦)o]
"Yeah, it's amazing."
Will's response was casual, but his focus never wavered. The exhilaration of flight was present, but less intense.
Nearly a century spent inside the Domain of Infinity had reshaped him profoundly. Training, isolation, pain, and repetition had carved away much of his impulsiveness. The sharp emotional spikes of youth still surfaced occasionally, but they no longer dictated his actions.
He deliberately limited his speed.
Breaking the sound barrier would have created a sonic disturbance that no amount of stealth could hide.
Instead, he maintained a controlled velocity, fast enough to reach his destination quickly but restrained enough to remain unnoticed.
Soon, the outskirts of the imperial capital came into view.
Massive walls bathed in golden light stretched across the horizon. Towers rose at regular intervals, each crowned with glowing sigils and patrolled by armored figures.
Will reduced the output of his sword intent further, allowing only faint golden motes to drift from his path.
From the city below, those motes looked like scattered reflections of moonlight or fragments of divine radiance.
[Where do you intend to land?]
"I will land in the imperial palace itself; it would save time."
[sigh!!!! another risk (´._.`) ]
[But!!, hehehe!!]
"What?? What is so funny?"
[i have a crazy idea !!]
"Oh!! Do tell me."
So!! if you can.....]
***
A few minutes later...
Imperial Palace, Holy Sun Empire
Will stood atop a watchtower overlooking the palace grounds.
The height offered a clear view of the inner courtyards, barracks, and ceremonial halls below. Lanterns illuminated stone pathways, and holy sigils embedded into the walls pulsed softly, maintaining layered defensive formations.
The palace was alive with divine energy, thick enough to irritate Will's senses.
He remained invisible and waited for the right time.
Midnight approached, and with it came the shift change.
Guards rotated positions with efficiency. Will had chosen this moment carefully. It was the time the lights would be turned dim and most of the people would drift into sleep.
Soon, the sound of boots echoed up the stairs.
A paladin ascended the tower, clad in armor that shimmered gold with veins of silver etched along its edges.
His posture was confident, his movements relaxed. This was not a novice guard. The aura surrounding him suggested B-rank strength, possibly a captain.
The moment the paladin stepped onto the platform, Will moved.
He pounced from behind, clamping a hand over the man's mouth and dragging him backward before any sound could escape. His strength pinned the paladin instantly, and before resistance could escalate, Will released wisps of demonic energy directly toward the man's brain.
The reaction was immediate.
The paladin's body twitched violently. His limbs spasmed, and his pupils rolled upward before draining of all color. His armor clattered softly against stone as his muscles seized.
Will did not kill him.
He did something far worse.
With meticulous control, Will guided the demonic energy through the paladin's body, reshaping flesh and mind while simultaneously branding him with the Mark of Slavery.
This was not a crude corruption. It was a precise, surgical process that required flawless energy control; thanks to him cultivating a god-rank scripture, he had that level of control.
It was a method demonic cults would only rediscover much later in the timeline with the help of a certain villain.
When the process ended, Will released the body.
The paladin collapsed to the floor, already beginning to disfigure. Within an hour, the transformation would be complete.
Will did not wait.
He moved through the palace like a shadow, repeating the process at several posts.
Each engagement was swift and silent. Targets were chosen carefully, spaced strategically throughout the palace.
Once satisfied, Will descended toward the base floor.
The sword remained strapped to his back to maintain invisibility. Every step was measured, every breath controlled.
He reached a heavily guarded cellar.
Paladins of multiple ranks stood watch, including several S-rankers. Their presence confirmed his suspicions. This was not a storage vault. This was a prison.
From his mind, Will issued the command.
The abominations awakened.
Across the palace, bodies twisted violently. Flesh melted and reformed. Bones cracked and reshaped as grotesque figures rose from where paladins had fallen moments earlier.
Boom
Explosions tore through the palace as demonic energy erupted.
Will directed them with cold precision. Some were sent toward the living quarters, where knights slept unaware.
Others were ordered to converge on the underground cellar.
Several were instructed to destroy holy god statues scattered throughout the palace.
That last command was deliberate.
Will knew the psychology of the Church well; after all, Earth also had these types of groups.
Desecrated statues would provoke chaos far more effectively than slaughter alone.
As the knights engaged the abominations, Will slipped behind a knight whose waist belt was holding a key. He snatched it cleanly and unlocked the cellar door before slipping inside.
A shadow-borne manifested briefly, taking the key and locking the gate from outside before returning it to the knight's belt.
As the shadow vanished, the knight turned instinctively.
It was a fatal mistake.
The abomination he was engaged with ripped his head away in the next moment.
Deep underground, Will stood silently as destruction unfolded above; he observed everything through shared senses granted by the mark of slavery.
Then he felt it.
A surge of overwhelming holy energy.
The cardinals of the church had arrived.
Will severed the connection instantly and issued a final command.
Self-destruction.
After he gave the command, his figure started to walk inside the deep tunnel.
His and the system's plan succeeded, and with that, the Church's hatred for demonic cults crossed a line and turned into a personal vendetta.
The war between the Church and demonic cults had officially begun, and it will shake the entire continent.

100X RETURNS SYSTEM: I DOMINATE THE AGE OF GODSC50. Glimple of the Son - 3
Chapter 50: 50. Glimple of the Son - 3
The stone floor of the underground tunnel groaned under the steady rhythm of Will's footsteps as he moved forward.
Each step echoed faintly through the narrow passage, the sound bouncing off the ancient stone walls that had clearly existed long before the empire above had been founded.
The tunnel itself sloped slightly downward, and the air grew heavier with every meter he advanced, carrying the stench of heat, ash, and something older that clung to the walls like a memory that refused to fade.
As the tunnel gradually widened, the carved stone gave way to a rough, natural opening. The end of the constructed passage revealed an enormous underground cavern formed entirely by nature rather than human hands.
The ceiling stretched several meters above, uneven and jagged, with cracks that glowed faintly from the reflected light below.
The heat intensified sharply the moment Will stepped into the open space, but his fire immunity rendered it nothing more than a tingling sensation rather than a threat.
The cavern resembled a twisted mockery of a prison. Its walls were carved with countless cell openings, each one sealed with thick metallic bars.
A narrow stone walkway ran along the edge of the cavern, hugging the wall and providing access to the entrances of each cell. Inside those cells were figures that barely resembled living beings anymore.
Frail bodies dressed in torn, dirt-covered clothing huddled against stone, some unmoving and others rocking faintly as if clinging to sanity through repetition.
Below the walkway, the cavern opened into a vast pit filled with molten lava. The glowing red-orange liquid churned sluggishly, releasing waves of heat that distorted the air and filled the space with a constant rumble.
The entire scene felt like a vision pulled directly from the deepest layers of hell.
Will paused briefly at the threshold, his eyes scanning the cavern in silence. He reached into his inventory and retrieved the scroll Tamasya had entrusted to him.
The faint symbols on the scroll pulsed delicately as if responding to something nearby. Holding it carefully, he stepped onto the narrow passageway and began walking toward the prison cells.
Thanks to his immunity, the heat rising from the lava did not hinder him, though he remained alert. As he approached the row of cells, the scroll in his hand began to glow brighter.
Without warning, it slipped free from his grasp and floated forward on its own, moving slowly toward one of the far cells carved into the cavern wall.
Will followed it step by step until it stopped directly in front of a particular cell. The glow intensified briefly before stabilizing, signaling that it had found its intended recipient.
Will reached out, holding the floating scroll, and then looked through the bars.
Inside the cell sat a mature woman; her posture was composed despite the harsh conditions. Her blue hair, a shade lighter than Will's own, fell loosely around her shoulders, matted with dirt and streaked with dried blood.
She was dressed in a pure white robe stained with blood all over as if she had escaped a massacre.
Her eyes were closed, and her expression was strangely serene, as though she had withdrawn into herself long ago to endure the endless confinement.
Thick mana-restricting chains wrapped around her wrists and neck, glowing faintly as they suppressed her powers completely.
They reduced her presence to that of a fragile mortal, despite the unmistakable aura of someone who had once stood far above such limitations.
Will stared at her for a moment, then glanced down at the glowing scroll in his hand. There was no doubt. The scroll had recognized its target.
He immediately tried to break the bars of the cell. Even with his S-rank physical strength, the bars did not budge. He switched tactics and channeled nether mana, directing it carefully against the metal.
The result was the same. The bars remained untouched, their surface absorbing and dispersing the force without a single crack.
"Leave it, child. These bars are made of mithril. They won't break with strength."
The voice was low, yet calm.
Will froze for a brief instant before lifting his gaze. The woman inside the cell had opened her eyes and was now looking directly at him.
Her eyes were filled with exhaustion and gloom, but there was also sharp awareness behind them.
"I am here to deliver Miss Tamasya's letter for you," Will said clearly, keeping his voice steady.
Her eyes widened slightly.
"Oh. She is back?" she said softly. "Alas, I thought she had died. If I had known she was alive, I would have personally gone to find her."
She leaned forward slightly, chains rattling faintly.
"Tell me, child. How did you find her?"
Will paused briefly before answering. He chose his words carefully and constructed a story that followed the truth closely enough without revealing everything.
He explained that he had ventured deep into the western forest, discovered the Prison of the Fallen Gods, and encountered Tamasya there. Certain details were deliberately omitted, as trust did not come easily in his words.
"Prison of gods," the woman gasped, her voice breaking slightly. "Oh my gosh. It must have been so tough for her."
Tears welled in her eyes, though she did not wipe them away.
Will hesitated for a moment before asking, "If I may ask, what is your relation to my master?"
The woman smiled faintly.
"Tamasya and I were like sisters," she replied. "We spent our childhoods together, went to the same academy, and fought alongside each other as comrades."
"Oh," Will said softly. "Then how did you end up here?"
She chuckled quietly.
"That is the tale of another time, my child."
Will nodded and extended the scroll toward her. It was thin enough to pass through the bars, and she accepted it carefully. As she read, her expression shifted subtly. A faint smile formed as she finished absorbing the contents.
While she read, Will examined the cellar bars again, irritation creeping into his thoughts.
"Why the heck won't they break, damn it?"
[Host, you still haven't tried the stellar fire.]
"Oh yeah," Will muttered. "Well, should I help this woman escape the prison with me?"
She looks like a good lady. Why don't you offer her help?
Will waited patiently until she finished reading the letter.
When she looked up again, she smiled.
"Your master says that if you are able to deliver me this letter, then I should allow you to go to the Abyssal Node."
"Since you are here, you have proved yourself. I will allow you to visit the Abyssal Node."
"Give me something to write."
Will immediately produced parchment and ink. As she began writing her reply, he spoke again.
"Madam, if you want, I can free you from here, and then we can escape the empire."
A soft chuckle escaped her lips.
"Don't worry. It is not the right time for me to leave. Until I see the Church burn to ashes, and until I myself crush the head of Winston, I will not leave this place. That is the commandment I have declared under the name of heavens."
Will felt his heartbeat quicken. The conviction in her voice was overwhelming, sharpened by years of suppressed fury. The embers of revenge burned brightly in her eyes, and he understood immediately that this was not empty hatred.
Here comes another one of you. Are you all part of a mad people's club?
Will ignored the comment.
"I understand your pain, madam," Will said. "Although I don't know the full story, I feel your pain. But I cannot leave a known comrade of my master here. Since you can't come with me, allow me to give you some supplies that will make your stay here easier."
He raised his hand, and stellar fire ignited around his palm.
The flames surged forward and engulfed the mithril bars. The metal did not resist. It melted instantly, turning to ash that scattered into the cavern below. The woman stared in disbelief.
With a sweeping gesture, Will summoned items from his inventory. Food, chocolates, clothes, potions, books, and countless other supplies piled up beside the cell in a massive heap.
"System, empty every extra food supply, clothes, and ornament I have in my inventory right now, anything that makes her life easier."
He then bowed slightly.
"I hope you take care, madam."
Will looked at the lady, who still had a really unnaturally shocked expression on her face.
"Seems like stellar flames are really too rare," he thought before approaching her and bowing his head.
"I hope you take care, madam; soon I and my master will come to free you and will help you complete your vengeance."
He then handed the shocked lady a talisman; it was the same talisman he had taken from Sword Saint Klaus for calling him during emergencies. Now that he had Tamasya as his guardian, he didn't need Klaus's protection talisman.
"This is a talisman of my friend. He is a good guy and is always eager to help. If you crush the talisman, he will appear and protect you in times of danger."
She did not respond. Her gaze remained fixed, unfocused.
With that, Will said his farewell, as he noticed that the lady was not replying at all and was still dazed in her own thoughts.
"I wonder what she is thinking," he thought before turning around to leave.
As Will turned to leave, the melted mithril bars reformed behind him as if they had never been destroyed.
Will's figure disappeared into the same tunnel he had come from.
"Stellar fire," the woman murmured.
Her attention then shifted to a faint shine among the pile of supplies.
Among the heap of clothes and ornaments, she caught sight of a small bracelet.
Immediately her figure moved, and the chains rattled as the bracelet appeared in her hands. The smooth bracelet would never fit her wrist because it was made for newborns.
The shine on the bracelet flickered as teardrops fell on its smooth surface.
From silent sobs to shrill cries, the voice of the lady slowly intensified as it blew into full-blown cries.
"My child, my son!!!"

100X RETURNS SYSTEM: I DOMINATE THE AGE OF GODSC51. Inside the abyssal node - 1
Chapter 51: 51. Inside the abyssal node - 1
Will left the underground prison the same way he had entered it earlier, retracing every step through the narrow stone passages without hesitation.
The tunnel still carried the heavy scent of molten rock and old blood, and the distant glow from the lava pits continued to flicker faintly against the walls.
Before reaching the final gate, he paused briefly and manifested a shadow-born construct at his side. The dark figure rose soundlessly from the floor. Will instructed it to steal the key once again, repeating the same method he had used before, ensuring that nothing appeared disturbed once he left.
The shadow-born moved ahead silently and slipped through the narrow gap near the gate, retrieving the key without alerting any guards.
Once the task was completed, Will dismissed the construct and reactivated the invisibility trait on his Aeon Blade.
The effect spread across his body smoothly, masking his presence completely. The system had already ensured that even strong individuals would not sense his aura, and with every precaution taken, he exited the imperial palace without encountering suspicion.
As he left the imperial capital behind, Will once again took flight using sovereign sword intent.
this flight technique was inspired by the original flight technique of sword saint klaus, who uses it to fly the same way instead of using mana.
The golden energy surrounding him remained thin and restrained, allowing him to move swiftly without producing sound waves that could alert the city.
His trajectory shifted toward the direction of the abyssal node located within the Riverdale Empire, where Klaus's permission token would be recognized and respected much more than other locations.
During the journey, Will stopped briefly at a nearby town. He moved through the early morning streets while maintaining his disguise and restocked food supplies. Once finished, he resumed his journey without delay.
By the time the morning sun rose fully into the sky, Will reached the outskirts of his destination. He paused under the sunlight for several moments, allowing the natural energy to replenish his mana and stamina.
The warmth flowed through his body, washing away most of the lingering fatigue from the last night's infiltration. With renewed strength, he walked toward the town bordering the abyssal node.
Military garrisons surrounded the area, their structures were reinforced and heavily guarded. Will moved quietly among the crowds and put on the Shaitan mask.
The artifact, shaped with a crow-beak mouth and entirely black in color, settled over his face.
As soon as he wore it, his hair and pupils shifted to match the dark black shade of the mask. The transformation was instant masking his real features
The Shaitan mask had been a cheap artifact purchased from the system shop months ago for ten SP, and until now he had never needed to use it properly.
Its function was simple, changing the color of hair and eyes to match the mask itself. Will had selected a black variant, although several colors were available.
He untied his hair and allowed it to fall naturally around his shoulders. At the same time, a black sword appeared in his hand. This was not the Aeon Blade but the Serpent King's Fang.
He received this sword as feedback from Maximus who recently gained the Serpent fang sword from his family.
Serpent King's Fang'sblade was narrow and straight with the sharp end pointed towards the right. the blade was black with a golden rib in between ensuring the blades structure.
Will almost felt like he was holding a katana which had been sharpened from the other side as well.
The memory of how Maximus had obtained the Serpent Fang Sword caused a faint smile to appear on Will's face.
The Serpent King's Fang was not a divine weapon, yet its quality placed it well above common arms. While the Serpent Fang Sword rested at a platinum tier, the Serpent King's Fang
reached diamond rank.
It possessed attributes such as poison infusion and an automatic sharpening effect, making it exceptionally dangerous.
Will adjusted his appearance carefully to avoid drawing attention. Even if he did attract notice, his defining traits would remain hidden. Inside the abyssal node, experienced individuals would be present, some hunting demons and others becoming prey themselves.
The abyssal node was an overlapping point between the Aris Continent and the Abyss.
Many such nodes existed across the continent, each guarded either by empires or by the Ascension Army, an elite force under the World Academy tasked with handling demonic affairs throughout Aris.
As Will approached the gates of the forbidden area, two vampires dressed in pure white uniforms stepped forward and blocked his path.
"Watch where you are going mister, the area is off bounds"
Will did not hesitate. He calmly removed the abyssal entry token from his inventory and presented it.
One of the vampires snatched the token from his hand and examined it closely.
The moment the engraving of a sword piercing a cloud became visible, the vampire's expression drained of color and his body shuddered.
Before the second vampire could speak, the one holding the token bowed deeply and said, "sorry for interrupting your advance, you may go"
Will accepted the token back without comment and proceeded forward.
The node entrance manifested as a rift radiating dense demonic energy. Will stepped inside without hesitation, unaffected by the corrosive aura. Immediately, a new realm unfolded before him.
The terrain was jagged and uneven, with sharp stone formations rising irregularly from the ground.
The air felt heavy, pressing against his senses. There was no sun in the sky, only a strange reddish moon that appeared far too large and close to the land.
Will stood on barren ground with no immediate direction in mind, yet he felt no concern.
In both of his lives, this would mark as his second encounter with demons but things were different this time.
This time, he was not the prey of demons, the demons were his prey instead.

Riverdale empire...
Imperial palace, emperor's study
Emperor Dalton sat at his desk while listening to reports from his prime minister. Since the last incident, numerous ministers within Riverdale's cabinet had been replaced.
After the ancestor's emergence, Dalton had personally led the Hounds, his elite troop, to purge corrupt officials and those who had allied with demonic forces.
The empire now stood in a precarious position. Demonic cults had become increasingly active in response to the emperor's retaliation.
Attacks and assassinations spread fear among the populace, aiming to weaken faith in the emperor's authority.
It was, in effect, an internal war.
Dalton understood the severity of the situation. Years of negligence had allowed corruption to root deeply within the empire. Only recently had he realized that true power had slipped from his grasp long ago.
"did you find any clue about the divine physique holder?"
The prime minister shook his head silently.
Emperor without any expression turned his head slightly and asked
"what about you?"
A shadow emerged behind Dalton and knelt.
"Unfortunately no majesty, but I bring significant news"
"sigh!! what can be more significant than this?"
"your majesty, the holy sun empire and the church have declared full-blown retaliation against the demonic cults, reports say that the demonic cult infiltrated the imperial palace last night and turned some soldiers into abominations, they also destroyed the statues of The light God and his seven angels."
"The sun empire is deeply angered and is launching an attack on all the cult bases in the Deccan forest"
Dalton laughed loudly.
"hahaha, seems like these cultists lost their minds after sucking demon dicks for too long hahaha!!!, out of all people they just had to offend those fanatics who keep deeming the light god more important than their own wives...Ahem!! I mean lives."
"send an emissary to the Sun empire and tell them we are ready to hand any type of intel or logistical support for their purge"

100X RETURNS SYSTEM: I DOMINATE THE AGE OF GODSC52. Inside the abyssal node - 2
Chapter 52: 52. Inside the abyssal node - 2
A sharp and cold breeze brushed past Will's ears as he stood atop a jagged outcrop of blackened stone, his posture steady and unmoving as his gaze remained fixed on the demonic stronghold several kilometers away.
The wind carried the stench of sulfur and scorched earth, whispering across the ruined landscape as if warning anything foolish enough to remain exposed for too long in this hostile land.
The terrain stretching between Will and the stronghold was scarred beyond recognition. Cracks split the ground like open wounds, and faint traces of demonic energy seeped out from them, curling lazily into the air before dispersing.
The land appeared hostile and corrupted, yet Will did not feel any oppressive pressure from it. He circulated demonic energy through his body smoothly, adapting his physique and masking his presence instinctively.
To him, the environment felt no more uncomfortable than a harsh mountain wind.
Thanks to the effects of the Heaven-Piercing Archer talent, distance had lost its meaning. His vision pierced through the foggy haze with terrifying clarity, allowing him to perceive details that should have been impossible to see from this far away.
He observed the obsidian towers rising from the ground, their surfaces etched with demonic sigils that crawled and shifted like living parasites. Even without directly approaching, Will could clearly sense the presence of multiple high-ranking demons stationed within the stronghold.
"Why would a stronghold be here?" Will muttered quietly. "It's not like Aris continent's natives attack them here."
The system's voice responded without hesitation.
[why don't you ask them]
Will did not reply immediately. Instead, his eyes shifted slightly as a faint trail of movement entered his field of vision.
A caravan was moving steadily across the broken land, its path marked by scorched tracks burned into the ground. Tens of reinforced carriages rolled in a single line, guarded on all sides by demons whose presence radiated hostility.
Several S rank demons were escorting the caravan, their movements were disciplined and alert, as if they were protecting something of extreme importance.
The formation was tight and Will immediately noticed that this was not random transport.
The dark, reinforced walls of the carriages reflected faint glimmers of demonic light as they rolled forward, pulled by massive horned beasts whose hooves scorched the earth with every step.
Each impact left behind glowing cracks that slowly cooled as the caravan passed.
The demons guarding the convoy wore layered armor forged from abyssal metals. Their weapons were already drawn, and their auras flared with restrained malice.
Some carried halberds taller than themselves, others wielded jagged blades or crude heavy weapons designed for brute force.
Will observed calmly and began counting.
"About a few hundred demons or so."
[There must be something important inside the carriage for them to travel so carefully with almost a small battalion of demons guarding the carriages]
Will's lips curved upward slightly.
"If something is of importance to the demons, then it is destined to be ruined by me."
He exhaled slowly. The Aeon Blade appeared in his hand, its crimson surface gleaming faintly before he wrapped it carefully in cloth and strapped it securely to his back.
With a simple thought, its invisibility trait activated, and Will's figure disappeared entirely from sight.
Below him, the demons continued marching, unaware that death had already chosen them.
They were war demons, a race bred specifically for frontline combat. Their bodies were reinforced by dense demonic energy, their red skin was thick and durable.
However, their intelligence and aptitude were lacking. Most of them were incapable of using magic or elemental techniques, relying instead on overwhelming physical force enhanced by demonic energy. They were expendable soldiers, created to be used as meat shields and discarded.
Normally, war demons were low-ranked. However, these were different. Their demonic cores had been forcibly elevated through elixirs and artificial methods, raising them to S ranks despite their limitations.
Leading the convoy was a lesser demon with dark violet skin and pitch-black pupils. He wore loose yet refined robes, and his presence alone marked him as an SS rank existence. A finely crafted halberd rested in his grip, and his expression was serious and alert, indicating experience beyond that of common war demons.
None of them noticed the invisible figure looming above.
Will vanished from the cliff entirely and reappeared midair, much closer to the caravan. A thin stream of sovereign sword intent flowed beneath his feet, opposing gravity and allowing him to float effortlessly.
While suspended in the air, he drew a bow.
It was still the same simple wooden training bow, unremarkable in appearance. However, the gap in quality was meaningless in Will's hands. His talent compensated effortlessly.
He silently drew an arrow. Stellar fire ignited along the arrowhead, burning with certain intensity.
Without hesitation, he released it.
*~Stinnnnnnng~*
The arrow crossed kilometers in a blink.
It struck a demon at the center of the formation square in the skull and detonated in a burst of white-gold flame.
Stellar fire spread instantly, consuming armor, flesh, and soul alike. The demon did not even have time to scream before it vanished into ash.
For half a second, the entire caravan froze.
Every demon, including the leader, turned in shock.
Then chaos erupted.
"ENEMY—!"
"WHERE—?!"
Before they could organize, the second arrow landed.
Then the third.
Then the fourth.
Each arrow curved unnaturally in midair, adjusting its trajectory as fleeing demons tried desperately to escape.
The Target Lock ability corrected every miscalculation, ensuring that no movement or terrain offered salvation.
Many demons raised thick shields in desperation, but the effort was meaningless. The shields were pierced instantly, melting and shattering as stellar fire bloomed across the battlefield like miniature suns.
Demons fell one after another, their bodies burning away before they even understood what was happening.
The lesser demon barked out hurried orders, his fury growing with every second. Even at SS rank, he could not see the arrows clearly. They disappeared the moment they struck, leaving only devastation behind.
"This is getting boring," Will said after a few minutes of bombardment.
He descended.
His invisibility deactivated as he landed behind the caravan, the sword strapped to his back vanished into his inventory. In its place, the Serpent King's Fang
appeared in his hand.
The caravan's leader noticed the sudden pause in the aerial assault. His eyes narrowed as the sound of footsteps reached him.
A figure wearing a crow-beaked black mask walked toward them calmly. Black hair fluttered lightly as demonic wind passed through the area.
The lesser demon tightened his grip on his halberd, hostility flaring instantly.
"stop where you are!!"
Will understood every word through Universal Tongue.
Though he did not comply and continued moving.
The Serpent King's Fang flashed once and Whispering Breeze Slash infused with demonic energy tore through the ranks from his side.
The force behind the attack was monstrous, cleaving through bodies like a knife through butter.
The attack was clean, precise, and devastating. Bodies split apart instantly, demonic blood spraying before evaporating under residual sword intent.
Will stepped forward as war demons scattered in terror.
But still some among them did not sense the severity behind the situation and decided to attack.
A giant demon swung its mace wildly.
The weapon struck empty air instead of hitting his target.
Will thrust his sword silently, cleaving the demon into two vertical halves. The body collapsed before the demon even realized it had been struck.
The remaining demons tried to form a formation.
But their efforts were meaningless.
Will reappeared briefly in their center, sword intent flared just enough to be felt.
Panic exploded.
Before any of them could react, he vanished again.
A Thunderclap Sever erupted from nowhere. Compressed air sliced through demons like invisible blades. Limbs were severed, armor shattered, and the ground cracked violently.
Within minutes, silence returned.
Only a few groups of demons remained, clustered around the violet-skinned lesser demon.
Ash drifted through the air. Burned corpses littered the battlefield, some reduced to scorched silhouettes etched into stone. The carriages remained intact, though their wheels and connections were destroyed.
The lesser demon raised his halberd.
"Impudent fool, tell me your name and I might spare you!!!?"
Will raised his brows, clearly surprised at the words filled with delusion
