The notes describe the process of Foundation Establishment, stating that one must first consume Foundation-Condensing Grass to nourish the meridians and widen bottlenecks with its spiritual energy. Then, one should consume Foundation Establishment Pills to draw upon the spiritual power within the dantian and forcefully break through the Foundation Establishment barrier.
During the breakthrough, spiritual power must be channeled gradually, avoiding haste and recklessness. If a bottleneck is encountered, one should not forcefully push forward with spiritual power, but rather slow down the pace and utilize the spiritual energy of the Spirit Gathering Array to slowly nourish the barrier. Once the time is ripe, one can break through in one fell swoop.
Simultaneously, one must constantly guard one's mind and resist the illusions that arise during Foundation Establishment. These illusions often contain the cultivator's obsessions and fears; once trapped, one will suffer a cultivation deviation, resulting in the loss of all previous efforts.
Between the lines, Xuan Yangzi also meticulously recorded the dangers he encountered during his own Foundation Establishment journey.
He had once been so eager for quick success that he forcibly channeled his spiritual energy, damaging his meridians and nearly failing to establish his foundation. Only through extraordinary composure and slowing his pace did he manage to break through successfully.
He had also been trapped in illusions, tormented by his own obsessions. Fortunately, he remembered his master's teachings in time, guarded his mind, and averted disaster.
These personal experiences, written with earnest sincerity, felt as if Xuan Yangzi himself were present, guiding him through his difficulties.
Qin Changsheng read with increasing absorption, his aura subtly fluctuating with the descriptions in the notes. The entire process of establishing his foundation seemed to unfold in his mind.
From consuming spiritual herbs and pills to channeling spiritual energy to break through the barriers, to resisting illusions and stabilizing his realm, every step was clearly visible, every danger understood perfectly.
He felt as if he had personally experienced the entire foundation-building process. His initial unease and anxiety gradually dissipated, replaced by absolute confidence.
Finally, the
book of insights detailed the precautions after Foundation Establishment: Upon successful Foundation Establishment, the dantian will transform into a pool of spiritual energy, which will become purer and more abundant. At this time, it is crucial to immediately stabilize the realm, circulating spiritual energy daily to nourish the dantian and meridians, preventing instability and regression.

In the early stages of Foundation Establishment, one should avoid unnecessary combat, focusing instead on dedicated cultivation to familiarize oneself with the control of spiritual energy during the Foundation Establishment period. Sufficient spiritual energy and resources must also be replenished.
If any hidden dangers remain after Foundation Establishment, corresponding spiritual herbs and pills must be sought promptly for repair; delay is unacceptable.
After an unknown amount of time, Qin Changsheng slowly closed the silk scroll and opened his eyes.
He gently exhaled a breath of stale air, his heart filled with gratitude and relief.
Fortunately, this book of Foundation Establishment insights had allowed him to avoid numerous dangers and given him precise control over the entire process.
Without this book of insights, even with abundant resources, he would inevitably have encountered many troubles, and might even have failed at the last hurdle.

Qin Changsheng carefully put away the Foundation Establishment Guide, keeping it close to his body as if it were a priceless treasure.
He sat cross-legged again, his mind calm, slowly recalling every detail of the guide. He adjusted his Foundation Establishment plan according to his own situation, memorizing every step and every point of attention.
After studying the guide, he showed no impatience, but strictly followed its guidance, making the final preparations for Foundation Establishment step by step, calmly and composedly.
He first took out dozens of low-grade spirit stones from his storage bag and arranged them around the spirit-gathering futon to form a simple spirit-gathering array. The spirit stones shimmered with spiritual light, resonating with the spirit-gathering array within the cave, instantly increasing the concentration of spiritual energy around the futon.
Then, he activated the method recorded in his cultivation manual, his spiritual energy slowly circulating throughout his body, repeatedly cleansing his meridians and expelling any remaining traces of impurities and turbidity. With each cleansing, his meridians became wider and stronger, fully preparing them to withstand the immense spiritual energy required for Foundation Establishment.
For several dozen days, Qin Changsheng remained immersed in stabilizing his foundation and clearing away impurities, his mind undivided. His spiritual energy rose and fell rhythmically with the circulation of spiritual energy.
He discarded all distracting thoughts, casting them aside. His eyes were fixed solely on the words "Foundation Establishment" and each step recorded in his cultivation manual. His focus and perseverance far surpassed that of ordinary Qi Refining cultivators.
Having cleared the turbid energy from his body and nourished his meridians to their optimal state, Qin Changsheng knew the time was ripe for Foundation Establishment.
He slowly opened his eyes and reached out to open the jade box containing the Foundation Establishment Grass.
A vibrant, verdant Foundation Establishment Grass came into view, its bud trembling slightly. A rich spiritual energy wafted towards him. Without hesitation, Qin Changsheng placed the grass in his mouth, circulated his spiritual power, and slowly refined it.
The Foundation Establishment Grass melted instantly in his mouth, its pure and gentle spiritual energy spreading throughout his meridians like spring rain nourishing every inch. His already wide meridians, nourished by the grass's spiritual energy, widened slightly again, and the barriers at their bottlenecks softened somewhat.
Following the instructions, Qin Changsheng slowed the pace of his spiritual energy circulation, patiently waiting for the spiritual energy of the Foundation Establishment Grass to completely integrate into his meridians and nourish his bottleneck. Only when his meridians were almost overflowing with spiritual energy did he take out a high-grade Foundation Establishment Pill and swallow it.
The high-grade Foundation Establishment Pill instantly unleashed a vast and powerful surge of spiritual energy, far more potent than that of the Foundation Establishment Grass. Qin Changsheng focused his mind and immediately, following the method described in the instructions, manipulated his spiritual energy, guiding the spiritual energy of the Foundation Establishment Pill slowly towards his dantian, forcefully breaking through the barrier between Qi Refining and Foundation Establishment.
The spiritual energy surged like a raging river, repeatedly impacting the bottleneck under Qin Changsheng's control. Each impact was accompanied by a piercing, throbbing pain; his meridians felt as if they were about to burst from the pressure of the spiritual energy, the pain unbearable.
Qin Changsheng gritted his teeth, fine beads of sweat forming on his forehead. His aura was slightly erratic, but he never gave up, nor did he rush into anything. He strictly followed the instructions in the manual, proceeding step by step. Whenever his spiritual energy breakthrough was hindered, he slowed down, using the spiritual energy from the spirit-gathering array to slowly nourish his barrier. Once the spiritual energy was sufficient, he would continue the breakthrough.
Time passed quietly within the cave. The day-night cycle and sect conflicts outside were irrelevant here. Only the spiritual energy around Qin Changsheng fluctuated, sometimes violent, sometimes calm. Only his resolute figure remained seated on the futon, unmoved.
Day after day, month after month, several months passed in the blink of an eye. Qin Changsheng's figure had become slightly thinner, but his eyes shone even brighter. His aura became increasingly refined with each breakthrough, bringing him closer and closer to Foundation Establishment.
During this period, he also encountered danger. Once, while attempting to break through a bottleneck in his spiritual energy, a slight lapse in concentration caused his spiritual energy to flow in reverse. A tearing pain shot through his meridians, a trickle of blood escaped from the corner of his mouth, and his spiritual energy became completely chaotic, nearly causing him to fail.
In that critical moment, he instinctively looked at the Foundation Establishment manual beside him. The experience of Xuan Yangzi during his own Foundation Establishment instantly flashed through his mind. Remembering the manual's admonition to "guard the mind and concentrate the spirit, stability is paramount," he immediately calmed his mind, circulated his spiritual power, and, following the methods recorded in the manual, slowly guided the reversed spiritual energy and repaired his damaged meridians. It took several days to barely stabilize the situation and return to Foundation Establishment.
He also experienced being trapped in illusions, countless fears and obsessions constantly assaulting his mind.
However, Qin Changsheng, with his extraordinary willpower, firmly remembered the methods to resist illusions from the manual, guarded his mind, and eliminated distractions. He repeatedly recited the incantation, finally breaking through the illusion. His mind became increasingly resolute, and his control over Foundation Establishment became increasingly precise.
Over the past few months, he had exhausted thousands of spirit stones, refining all the spiritual energy from the Foundation Establishment Grass and high-grade Foundation Establishment Pills. His meridians were nourished to become incredibly resilient, and the spiritual power within his dantian became increasingly abundant, making each attempt to break through the bottleneck stronger than the last.
Finally, in the dead of night, Qin Changsheng felt the spiritual power within his dantian reach its peak. The bottleneck barrier, under repeated impacts, became as thin as a cicada's wing. He knew that the final moment had arrived.
Qin Changsheng took a deep breath, closed his eyes, and completely immersed himself in his body, gathering all the spiritual energy within him into his dantian. Like a raging torrent, it was precisely controlled to launch a final assault on the bottleneck barrier!
"Crack—" A subtle, crisp sound rang out clearly in the tranquil cave.
The Foundation Establishment barrier that had plagued countless Qi Refining cultivators finally showed its first crack under the impact of Qin Changsheng's immense spiritual energy. The crack then spread rapidly, shattering like broken glass!
The instant the barrier shattered, the spiritual energy of heaven and earth seemed to be drawn in by some force, frantically converging towards the Jingchen Cave. Through the cave's spirit-gathering array, it continuously poured into Qin Changsheng's body. The spiritual energy within his dantian instantly boiled, beginning to circulate and compress violently. The originally gaseous spiritual energy gradually condensed into a liquid state.
His dantian expanded accordingly, transforming into a small pool of pure, potent liquid spiritual energy.
This is the mark of a Foundation Establishment stage cultivator!
