Chapter 2 - Heheheha

The sound of the horse's orderly and trained footsteps walking through the snow, the heat escaping from the horse's Napa as they stopped, someone jumped off the horse pulling a rope and tying it to a tree.

"Captain Hound, take a look." His hand trembled as he pointed to a hand that emerged from a pile of snow, in the cold tundra forest the snow was very thick and cold.

"That... It's just a human corpse, you're a coward Gregor." Hound followed Gregor jumping as he finally pulled his sword out of the scabbard, down the road to the hand.

"Captain—" Said Gregor stuttering, he looked around after hearing the sound of footsteps, at first he looked normal but when Captain Hound was silent and looked at the corpse— his steps got faster.

Someone stalked them, "Captain..." called him but Hound just fell silent, he thought it was just a starving wolf.

Captain Hound stood up, turned his body back after finishing observing the corpse, he walked towards Gregor who was frozen and opened his mouth to advise his pale face. "Hey, calm down — it's just a wolf..."

The whistle of the arrow that merged with the sound of the storm, a large arrow made of snow pierced Gregor's body, right in front of him Captain Hound saw it clearly.

Gaping, he could only silently stare at his partner's body lying on the ground after the arrow pierced his body, the snow where the body fell turned pink and silence appeared in his ears.

...

Blundmere City, Valtheris District, upper-level noble housing.

Heavy breathing!

Huh! Huh! Huft!

Leon tried to open his eyelids, his breathing heavily and his arms covering his face as he looked up, a hard start for him.

Natural rock walls with the reflection of the red sky and the large moon through the luxurious medieval windows, the wind blows until it hits the blanket of animal fur that covers its body.

This is not like his room.

Leon pushed his arm to help his body sit on the soft and luxurious mattress, his hand unconsciously held his head that was throbbing slowly.

Damn, is this a dream? Leon tried to stand up when his vision faltered, stepping slowly towards the glowing table that looked expensive while limping.

His steps were slow in the silence of the night, his purpose was clear when his face looked around the room, white walls made of pale limestone and simple sculptures. His feet slowly touched the cold and soft marble tile.

Instead of looking around, he felt that it was enough to see the surroundings, this house was like a middle-age noble house but his eyes were focused on one object.

Glowing, brightly reflecting the reflection of the big and terrifying blood moon light, not only that, the distinctive wooden handle and the silver and gold-colored snout made me surprised.

A revolver? Leon quickened his pace as if he was familiar with this location, the marble began to make a sound when the soles of his feet hit firmly in the silence.

When his ears were filled with the sound of his footsteps, on the wall right in front of the table, a tall mirror stood silently.

When his body was reflected by the mirror, his steps slowed down, his eyes focused on what he saw but his facial expressions looked incredulous with what he saw.

Leon stopped.

The reflection appeared there—obviously, but it felt strange. His hair was a little messy, his eyes looked more tired than he could remember. He stared at himself for a few seconds, his eyebrows slowly furrowed

Isn't this me? What? Not—Me? Then who? Slightly wavy black hair with light brown eyes that are almost yellow-operge, a very healthy young face but also very tired.

Ack! Leon held his head, feeling an incredible pain spreading inside. He groaned softly, his voice drowning in the silence and darkness around him. The pain came throbbing, as if his head had just been beaten with a hard pole, making his mind spin and his body feel heavy.

A voice then came out, a heavy but loud and terrifying sound as if they were around him, the voice echoed holding back his headache as long as one word was mentioned.

"Transmigration!"

"Transmigration!"

"Transmigration!"

"Transmigration!"

...

That voice, does that mean I have transmigrated? No—Me. I don't.. my head hurts so much. Slowly the voice disappeared and returned to silence along with the headache that made him fall now disappeared, Leon pushed his body to stand up firmly, passing the mirror he immediately approached the white table made of expensive wood.

In his brain he fended it off but tried to accept the reality, he also tried to think about what made him transmigrate, his brain was full when he didn't realize that his hand was lifting the revolver.

The color of the body to the muzzle is shiny silver, decorated with pure gold carvings that emit a subtle light. The handle is made of modern material that feels sturdy in the hand. He turned the weapon slowly to the other side, noticing a serial number that was neatly engraved on its surface.

In modern times or on earth a weapon has a serial number but this looks plain, the weapon is very good to be printed with a serial number that will ruin its beauty.

Leon lowered the gun from his eyes after being satisfied with seeing the gun, right behind him after the gun disappeared from his sight he saw a notebook with a very strange language written on it, but even more strange that Leon could read it.

That's so weird, but even weirder that I can read that? Is that the language used by people on this planet? And it seems that this person's skill is quite great in reading. His fingers danced on the book that was covered with animal skin. 'Wein Arcveil's notebook.' Slowly open the first page. Whoosh! A gust of wind suddenly hit the book when Leon had just read the first page. The sheets of paper moved on their own, rustling and spinning as if dancing without the touch of his fingers. A few seconds later, the movement stopped at a page that looked dull, damp, and a little faded by time.

When I opened it, there were several documents that were also eaten by time, the paper turned yellow and some traces of water that were still damp around it. Leon tried to reach for it and looked at the document. 'The death of Mrs. Arcveil, an attack on the kingdom.' His writing began to fade but without realizing it the tears fell touching the paper, Leon tried to hold his cheeks when the tears flowed for some reason he felt it as if he was losing.

As more tears fell, Leon's mind was confused again... something that made his eyes black again, he started to feel dizzy and nauseous until finally his eyes were full of darkness.

"Shut up here okay? Mom promised to take you outside and play, but don't make a sound and be quiet here." Little Wein was placed in the closet when the sound of broken glass was heard, "Mom loves you, Wein." The sound rang and jingled when Tessia Arcveil closed the closet to protect her child, the closet had a little ventilation and could see out.

Little Wein only watched as his mother stood up and raised the knife and pointed it at the bedroom door, when the sound of footsteps was heard Tessia tightened her grip on the knife.

"Mom?" He muttered not knowing what was going on.

"In this room, break the door." Gedebuk, Gedebuk, many times the sound of feet trying to kick the wooden door, they got stronger and finally after several attempts the door opened. The door was pushed hard until it hit the wall beside it and Tessia retreated slowly.

"Stay away, don't ever touch my son." Tessia said pointing the knife and in front of her three people with axes and daggers approached Tessia, at that time the night sky was very dark, there was no moon and no stars because it was covered by clouds.

"Your son? Oh right where is the little one." The killers looked around, between the closets and in the corner of the room until one said. "That child would be good if he became a statue." He laughed making Tessia annoyed.

The sound of his footsteps became more and more, tears flowed from Tessia's face, she threw the knife at one of the killers who wanted to make her child into a statue, the knife flew and hit her right eye, she began to moan in pain as Tessia tried to take anything that was closest to her.

"Damn, it hurts!" He said his hand tried to pull the knife out, but the blood was getting more and more making the blood come out quickly and spread in the room, his body staggered as the others began to be impatient.

"This Is Blundmere's Coplisian, Covenant." Shouting from outside the door, the robber was surprised their faces that had been enjoying torture turned back into annoyance, the robber approached Tessia with her hands clenched until within reach she hit her face, on the other side of the closet, "Mom!" He shouted but his hand reflexively covered his mouth. One of the robbers looked at the source of the sound but they ignored it.

"Leave that child, we focus on our mission." The next blow was aimed at her head when Tessia had fallen and was lying down, her body was weak until finally the robber took out a dagger.

"Look son." He put the sharp side of a dagger on the neck of Tessia, her mother Wein. At that moment she stuck the blade and Tessia stared at Wein, her mouth open trying to speak.

"Be an Ascendant, Wein. You'll protect—" The vocal cords were cut and Tessia's neck spurted a large amount of blood into the closet, leaving her to die painlessly and at the same time the robber holding the axe hit her neck until the head moved away from her neck. Wein could only shed tears when he saw his mother being killed, he felt guilty and weak and unable to protect.

Breaking the window, the robber came out of there and ran away exactly a few seconds when the robber ran away from the roof of the police house. "Raise your hand!" He said, they used a gun or flintlock. Two policemen approached Mrs. Wein's body and the other approached the closet, when the person squatted down and saw Tessia, Wein noticed a writing on their clothes, it was 'SilverWolf'

The gaze was dark again, the sound of a bang made the dark look fade as Leon grabbed his messy hair, he grabbed his face to wipe away his tears, he fainted and the memory had just played the terrible thing about Wein.

Leon tried to stand up after falling when he fainted. 'Silverwolf' is not a policeman, from the data in this book when Wein looked back at the book there was a writing that the official police in Blundmere was only Covenant and? The writing faded.

Opening another page, Leon saw the date data and some personal notes.

Date 25.

I met that organization, SilverWolf. Their captain glared at me, then said something that made my heart beat: he invited me to join. I didn't know what to think, but there was something in his eyes that seemed to know something about me... something related to my father's last words: "Ascendant, SilverWolf."

Date 26.

I decided to join, not because I want to be part of this organization, but because my father's words keep haunting me. What does "Ascendant, SilverWolf" mean? Was my father involved, or was he a victim of them? I have to know, even if it means putting myself in a dangerous world that even I haven't fully understood.

Date 27.

This morning, I woke up early, riding a horse alone to Jalan Sutra II, the promised place as the organization's headquarters. In every step I take, curiosity is mixed with fear. Every horse's voice, every wind seems to carry a whisper from the past, and I feel like my steps lead to something much bigger than myself.

Date 28.

The captain looked at me seriously and asked, am I really sure I want to join. He gave me three days to think. However, those words are not just questions. There was something in his tone that made me feel, if I refused, I might never find an answer about my father or my mother.

Date 29.

Date 30.

A voice appeared in my head, unbearable, destroying my peace of mind. "Everything must die, die, die," he repeated, constantly. The pressure almost drove me crazy, but behind the terror came a bigger question: does this have anything to do with SilverWolf? I have to know. If I didn't enter their world, this sound would never stop, and I might lose more than just an answer... I could lose myself.

Why the 29th? Why is that the only one that is not filled? Forgot? It will be together with the 30th right? But on the 30th he wrote his anxiety. Leon said in his heart.

Even the memory in this body does not remember it, as if the memory is already corrupted, but the other memory is functioning properly.

After the pain faded, Leon's sense of humor returned, he remembered several fantasy novels and some transmigrated but when it happened to him he couldn't believe it and it was hard to think about it.

Leon looked back at the mirror that immediately reflected him, that narcissistic gaze made his mouth smile widely. I think I can go back, as long as I remember how I got here but I don't remember what I did, I only remember lighting a candle for a ritual.

As long as I try to remember, I will be Wein Arcveil. Leon replied proudly, he began to try to accept his situation, in his heart this time he had become Wein, he retreated from the mirror and raised the gun.

"I'm going to the location of the organization." He said slowly breaking the silence, Wein put the revolver on his waist and took a beautiful black robe. Right next to him a longsword was located there, but considering he was holding a revolver he didn't really think about it.

Throwing his eyes away from the weapon that he thought was left behind in that era, Wein walked towards a door, grabbed a handle that was cold and Wein went out of his room.

The cloak covered his dashing gun but the sound of iron as he walked could not be hidden, according to him some people would not care about it, walking in a luxurious corridor with simple lighting from gas torches.

The old maid suddenly stopped when she saw her. His face immediately turned pale, his body stiffened as if he had just seen something terrible. "T-Mr. Wein..." his voice trembled, then he immediately knelt down until his forehead almost touched the cold marble floor.

Wein was surprised to see that reaction. Reflexively he lowered his head and held the old woman's shoulder, while looking at her and trying to help her stand up, the memory fragment of Wein was spinning. "No, what are you doing? Don't kneel like that, get up." His voice is soft, far from the cold tone that this body usually has.

The old servant froze. Slowly he raised his head, his eyes widened in disbelief, as if what had just happened was contrary to everything he knew about his master. His body was still shaking when he finally stood up.

Wein just smiled a little. "I just want to go out for a while to get some fresh air, maybe I'll be back before eight o'clock." He said casually, then walked past him without thinking about the reaction he left behind.

But behind him, the old servant was still glued to his place. Several other waiters who saw the incident looked at each other with pale faces, one of them even whispered softly, almost not daring to speak. "That's... really Mr. Wein?"

No one answered. Because everyone in the noble house knew one thing in common—Young Master Wein Arcveil had never been gentle with anyone.

Wein didn't really care about it, with that if he was a bad person before maybe this was an opportunity to make Wein good, the old servant was very trembling earlier making Wein uncomfortable, but his happy brain didn't think too much and immediately walked down the stairs.

"Good morning!" He said when he met every servant in the big house that he didn't even know where the exit was, until finally after finishing this huge maze, Wein was sure that in front of him was an exit.

Just as Wein approached, a guard in full armor stood up straight and saluted before opening the door. The large door slowly pulled back gracefully, revealing an amazing view behind it.

Wein greeted the guard with a good morning, just like he did to the other guards. But a moment later, one of the guards was heard choking in shock behind him. Wein didn't care about it.

His attention was completely distracted by the scene in front of him—the sun that had just risen, emitting a golden light that slowly enveloped the world in front of him.
