Chapter 306 - Chapter 306: The Masked Man Accepts the Challenge — The Impure World Army!

"Oh? So the Umbrella Organization is convening a Ninja World Conference and openly declaring war on us?"

Inside a dimly lit cave, Obito listened to the intelligence delivered by Black Zetsu, a trace of interest flickering in his eyes.

Draped in a black robe, his expression indifferent, Obito let out a faint scoff.

He slowly turned around.

Behind him stood the army he had painstakingly prepared—rows upon rows of tightly packed coffins stretching into the darkness. At the forefront, one coffin suddenly burst open with a heavy thud.

A figure lay within.

Clad in dark red armor, long hair spiked upward, eyes firmly shut—

It was Uchiha Madara.

For the smooth execution of the plan, Black Zetsu had retrieved Madara's corpse as well.

At this moment, Obito's own aura had changed dramatically. One eye was a Mangekyō Sharingan, the other a Rinnegan.

Looking at the powerful figures before him, Obito smiled faintly. Yet beneath that smile, a trace of vigilance toward Black Zetsu quietly surfaced.

This guy claims to be Madara's will…

But would Madara really allow someone to desecrate his father's and brother's bodies, even toying with their souls?

Uchiha Madara… how interesting.

I'll lead this world in your stead.

Black Zetsu failed to notice the subtle shift in Obito's expression. He was well aware his actions appeared suspicious—but he also knew Uchiha Obito well.

For that girl, Obito would do anything.

Of course, Madara himself had also been a fool—trapped within the grand lie he had woven.

Black Zetsu's heart surged with excitement.

This was the closest he had ever come to reviving his mother.

Just as his thoughts spiraled, Obito interrupted him.

"Black Zetsu," Obito said calmly, "is the Hyūga clan's new sacrifice ready? I need his full combat capability."

"It's already prepared," Black Zetsu replied promptly, half his body embedded into the cave wall. "The most perfect White Zetsu body made from Hashirama cells. It's more than enough to let his power fully manifest."

Then—

"Obito, do you know what poop smells like?"

A lewd voice suddenly chimed in.

Zetsu leapt out, grinning.

Obito's face darkened.

Without hesitation, he swung his fist, sending Zetsu flying.

He flexed his arm in satisfaction.

The arm he had lost fighting Konan had now been replaced. This White Zetsu limb perfectly unleashed his strength.

In fact, more than half of his body was now composed of Hashirama-cell-enhanced White Zetsu.

The Land of Iron.

Just like in the original timeline, the location chosen for the Ninja World Conference was the Land of Iron.

Only this time, the Five Kage Summit had been replaced by a Ninja World Conference.

"Kakashi—you've gotten stronger!"

A man wearing a green jumpsuit with thick, bushy eyebrows spoke enthusiastically.

It was Might Guy.

Standing before him was Kakashi, who had arrived in the Land of Iron to hone his swordsmanship.

"Might Guy," Kakashi replied with a faint smile, "you've grown stronger as well."

His aura was now completely restrained.

His current level of swordsmanship had reached that of his father—the White Fang of Konoha.

From sharp and exposed to concealed and calm, this wasn't merely a change in strength, but in mindset.

"Might Guy," Kakashi asked, "have Naruto and Sasuke arrived yet?"

"No," Guy replied, glancing toward a distant building. "Only Shisui and the others from Umbrella are here. The Five Kage have already arrived as well."

Umbrella and the Five Great Ninja Villages were currently deep in discussion.

This time, Tsunade had brought Guy along. As things stood, Might Guy was now one of Konoha's primary pillars of strength.

Shisui, on the other hand, had brought Neji as a guard—his Byakugan making him ideal for the role.

Given Neji's current strength, even acting as security was more than sufficient.

Inside the conference room, the atmosphere was tense.

Several figures were locked in heated discussion.

The Raikage, his imposing figure radiating aggression, spoke bluntly.

"Hmph. Your true goal this time isn't just dealing with the Masked Man, is it?"

"A schemer hiding behind the scenes—why would someone of your strength take him so seriously?"

"You're using this as an excuse to annex the entire Ninja World, aren't you?!"

The moment he finished speaking, the room fell silent.

Ōnoki narrowed his eyes, his thoughts unreadable. In truth, he shared similar suspicions.

Only Mei Terumī, the Mizukage, appeared relatively composed.

She had personally witnessed the transformation of the Land of Water after Umbrella's intervention—and more importantly, she knew she had no means to oppose them.

With Umbrella's bizarre technology and overwhelming power, their domination of the Ninja World felt almost inevitable.

Gaara stood with his arms crossed, silent—but his stance clearly marked him as a supporter of Umbrella.

Shisui remained quiet for a moment before speaking slowly.

"You may not know this," he said calmly, "but the original owner of the Rinnegan has already been killed."

"The one responsible—"

"—was the Masked Man."

Shisui did not reveal the Masked Man's true identity.

At this point, it no longer mattered.

Speaking it aloud would only create unnecessary chaos.

The Tsuchikage and Raikage exchanged glances, their pupils tightening as shock flashed through their eyes.

"The Masked Man's strength is far beyond what you imagine," Shisui continued calmly. "He has obtained the Impure World Reincarnation technique from Danzo."

"And Uchiha Madara is very likely to appear on the battlefield."

"Furthermore," Shisui added, his voice steady, "according to our intelligence—even the ancestor of the Hyūga Clan, Hyūga Ichizoku, has been revived through Impure World Reincarnation."

The room fell into stunned silence.

Everyone present had at least some understanding of the Warring States Period.

"How is that possible?" Ōnoki demanded, frowning deeply. "Didn't Hyūga Ichizoku's body go missing after his death? How could the Masked Man obtain it?"

According to legend, Hyūga Ichizoku's remains had mysteriously vanished. For a long time, it was believed that the Hyūga Clan had hidden his body.

Later intelligence had proven otherwise.

A body belonging to someone of that caliber was priceless—such remains undoubtedly concealed countless secrets.

"Heh. A disgusting ninjutsu," the Raikage snorted coldly. "This is Konoha's bitter harvest. Playing with the souls of the dead will always invite retribution."

During the Second Ninja World War, the Second Hokage's use of this forbidden technique had caused them tremendous suffering.

It was also one of the reasons Konoha had managed to survive a four-village siege.

Though the Raikage's words carried mockery, both he and the Tsuchikage had already begun to take the situation extremely seriously.

The enemy was far more dangerous than they had expected.

"You may not know this," Shisui said, his tone turning icy, "but we have already uncovered the enemy's ultimate objective."

"The Eye of the Moon Plan."

"I assume that, with your intelligence networks, you've at least heard of it."

"Capturing the Tailed Beasts. Reconstructing the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki. Recreating the Sage of Six Paths."

"If we do not unite," Shisui said coldly, "the Ninja World itself will be destroyed."

The Raikage and Tsuchikage were visibly shaken.

Their intelligence had only confirmed that the Akatsuki were hunting Tailed Beasts and orchestrating a massive conspiracy—but Shisui's words went far beyond their expectations.

"The Sage of Six Paths…?" the Raikage muttered. "The Ten-Tails Jinchūriki…?"

Shisui did not elaborate further.

In truth, he knew far more—about the Ōtsutsuki, about the true origin of the Tailed Beasts—but revealing that now would only deepen confusion.

"According to legend," Ōnoki said slowly, brows furrowed, "the Sage of Six Paths created the world… and the Tailed Beasts were born from him."

He had always believed it to be nothing more than myth.

As for the Ten-Tails, he knew nothing at all.

Just as the room remained steeped in shock—

A figure slowly appeared in the sky above the conference building.

High above, Obito hovered silently, gazing down with cold, indifferent eyes.

The storm had already arrived.
