"Oh my God, it's finally starting!"
"I'm really looking forward to Divination."
Before Divination class, that's what Hermione told Tiger. Her earlobes flushed pink. She seemed lost in thought. After entering the classroom, she didn't even dare look at Tiger.
Regarding this chipmunk's recent strangeness—
Tiger seemed used to it. Just casually moved a crystal ball about to fall. Didn't pay much attention.
He had no interest in Divination.
Professor Trelawney's performance was too theatrical.
If she weren't a professor—
Just those uncomfortable shrieks earlier would've earned her broken teeth. Forced down her throat.
"Do pay more attention to your pet."
Hearing the Divination professor's prophecy, Draco's face went white instantly.
Then Professor Trelawney turned her gaze to others. Voice drifting uncertainly.
"How is your grandmother?"
"If I were you, I wouldn't think so."
"Stay away from red-haired men. They'll lead you to ruin."
"Of course, compared to that, nothing else matters much. Like the flu in February. And before Easter, someone will leave us forever..."
Students in the classroom were thoroughly spooked by the professor's ominous predictions. Avoided her gaze repeatedly. Even Slytherin's snakes looked grave.
The classroom atmosphere turned eerily strange.
As for Tiger—like a starving beast, his deep, dark eyes locked onto Professor Trelawney.
Though he didn't believe in Divination—
Everyone has curiosity, right?
Like...
When could he smash Dumbledore's kidneys? When could Venom eat that turkey?
Unfortunately, Tiger's stare was scarier than prophecies. So Professor Trelawney didn't approach him.
No one wanted to be stared at like that.
Except the chipmunk.
"Now then..."
"Exchange your teacups."
Following Professor Trelawney's instructions, everyone hurriedly opened textbooks. Forced down the scalding tea.
Tiger wanted to dump the water out.
But the chipmunk gripped his arm tightly. Her slightly puffed cheeks looked pitiful.
She feared any wrong step—
Would ruin the final divination result.
"Please, Tiger~"
"Fine..."
Tiger raised an eyebrow slightly. Drained the tea in one gulp. Then exchanged the empty cup with the delighted chipmunk.
Hermione carefully set down the teacup. Eyes wide. She compared patterns in the textbook while examining tea leaves in the cup.
Incense smoke in the classroom carried a spicy-sweet scent. Made people want to sneeze or cough.
Hermione's eyes seemed affected too.
Her originally joyful eyes gradually reddened. A hint of mist gathered at the bottom.
Tiger's brow furrowed slightly. The chipmunk's near-tears look inexplicably annoyed him.
Probably a bad pattern in the cup.
So he reached out and turned the cup around.
Fate is the weak's excuse.
Luck is the strong's modesty.
If the pattern was still bad, brew another cup. Keep brewing until it's good. No big deal.
Tiger firmly believed—with him around, this chipmunk wouldn't get hurt. Unless she stepped into the ring with him.
Wait, the ring?
During the holiday, Hermione seemed to want to challenge him. But Harry's sudden appearance interrupted.
Tiger rubbed his chin. Looked at Hermione.
Should he schedule something?
This chipmunk's presence was too weak. Needed attention. Thinking of Hermione's recent oddness, Tiger narrowed his eyes thoughtfully.
Homo erectus's violent genes often awakened after being attacked. Including presence shown facing strong enemies. Tiger had researched this extensively.
So...
Such a small frame—how many punches should he throw?
Looking at the pattern in the cup—
Hermione's sad eyes froze slightly.
Then she hurriedly flipped through the textbook. Compared again. Seemed to get a slightly better answer. The chipmunk sighed with relief. Patted her chest.
"Oh, thank God."
"That scared me."
"It's not antlers. It's a bird."
Though full of twists, the ending was good. Hermione smiled shyly at Tiger.
But met those fierce pupils directly. The chipmunk's eyes widened. Instantly held her breath. The pink flush at her neck visibly spread to her earlobes.
Tiger had never looked at her so seriously.
Hermione blinked. Realized Tiger was getting closer and closer. Her gaze grew flustered.
"Hermione, do you think you can withstand..."
Tiger, trying to speak plainly, got interrupted by a sudden figure. Professor Trelawney bent slightly. Looked at Hermione's teacup.
"A falcon, dear."
"You should stay away from someone."
"This isn't a good omen. Concerns your life. You should be vigilant..."
"This is clearly a bird!"
Like a cat with raised hackles, Hermione shot up. Eyes locked on Professor Trelawney. Hand instinctively gripped the Divination textbook.
As if the professor dared deny her answer again—she'd make them thoroughly experience how heavy Divination knowledge could be!
"No no no no!"
"Please don't..."
"No, Hermione, calm down!"
Ron and Harry's eyes widened. Waved frantically at Hermione. Expressions full of horror and urgency.
Professor Trelawney examined Hermione briefly. Thick lenses magnified her eyes several times. The dissatisfaction within couldn't be hidden.
"Child, regarding Divination, I must speak plainly. You clearly lack the Sight. Your perception of the future is extremely narrow. Perhaps you're not suited for this course."
With that, she left Hermione's desk. Walked toward others. The heavy incense smell lingered.
The bell rang.
Everyone left the classroom. Expressions somewhat dazed. Those ominous signs and patterns, and Professor Trelawney's interpretations, still echoed in their ears.
Hermione's eyes were red with anger.
Ron looked at Harry, then at Hermione. Didn't know who to comfort first.
"Um, where's Tiger?"
As if suddenly realizing something—
Ron stopped abruptly. His trembling finger pointed behind them in disbelief.
"Oh no..."
Hermione and Harry instantly looked at each other.
The meaning in their eyes was clear. Hermione pushed through the crowd first. Rushed back toward the Divination classroom.
Forget everything else—Professor Trelawney was the only Seer bloodline!
On the other side—
Tiger didn't head to Transfiguration class. Instead blocked Professor Trelawney in the Divination classroom.
The Basilisk staff landed firmly on the floor. Like striking Professor Trelawney's heart.
Seeing Tiger's dark eyes—
Professor Trelawney couldn't help stepping back. Voice tight:
"Mr. Shelby, is there something else?"
"Professor, you're a Seer's descendant. Your Sight far exceeds ordinary people. You can predict everything. So regarding Divination, I have a very important question."
With Tiger's terrifyingly calm voice, the staff's tip pressed onto the professor's foot.
Professor Trelawney tried to pull away. But couldn't move. Just as she prepared to loudly rebuke Tiger—Venom's head suddenly emerged from behind Tiger. Pale, grotesque eyes overflowing with greed and hunger.
"Professor, please open your Sight. Look carefully. Will you be injured today..."
The pressure and pain on her foot grew more obvious. Also signaled how little time remained.
Professor Trelawney's face turned iron-blue as she looked at Tiger.
She didn't believe it.
She didn't believe this student dared harm a professor.
"No, I won't be injured..."
"SQUELCH!"
Before she finished speaking, the staff's tip pierced through her foot. Blood gushed out suddenly.
Piercing, agonized screams filled the classroom.
"Seems Divination isn't accurate." Tiger's lips curved slightly. Smiled wickedly.
"Tiger!"
Hermione burst through the door.
