Li Xian had just gained the favor of "Xu Shaoqian," and his strength, abilities, and performance were all remarkable. The position of Gold Appraisal Guard... Xu Shaoqian was inclined to bestow it immediately. However, Lei Chong obstructed this, citing Li Xian's lack of seniority.
Li Xian had been with the Gold Appraisal Guard for too short a period. Including his time as a reserve, it had been almost two months in total. Such rapid advancement was against the rules of the Gold Appraisal Guard. Xu Shaoqian, upon hearing this, also found it reasonable, so the position of Gold Guard was left vacant, only giving Li Xian an oral promise to prepare.
Lei Chong appeared rough on the outside but was meticulous in thought. Nonetheless, he felt envious and realized that Xu Shaoqian would eventually leave this vacant position to Li Xian.
