The Sterling Residence
The guests departed, and The Sterling Family returned to tranquility. Mrs. Sterling went upstairs and knocked on the study door.
The smell of smoke hit her. She was surprised to see Mr. Sterling smoking at the desk. This man had been disciplined for years, abstaining from smoking and drinking, so why would he smoke alone in the study? She looked at the ashtray on the desk, which was filled with cigarette butts.
"Is there something you need?"
Through the smoke, Mr. Sterling saw Mrs. Sterling in front of him and asked lightly.
"Yes!"
Mrs. Sterling coughed lightly twice, pursed her lips, and smiled, "Felicity always said smoking is bad for your health."
"Yes!"
Mr. Sterling responded, snuffing out the cigarette in the ashtray, and then the room fell silent.
The smoke cleared, and Mrs. Sterling could clearly see Mr. Sterling's still youthful face.
