In the evening, Song Jiajia prepared a whole table of dishes.
Liu Fenglan was quite satisfied, but she still spoke with disdain: "Does it take so long to make a meal? I was almost starving. I don't know who used to make a fuss about eating a little late, but when it's their turn to cook, they do it so slowly."
Lu Jianguo watched Liu Fenglan's nitpicking expression, opened his mouth, but eventually said nothing.
Song Jiajia responded with uncharacteristic good temper: "I got it, next time I'll cook earlier."
Song Jiajia was about to sit down when Liu Fenglan called her out: "Why are you sitting down? Go boil some water first, I want to soak my feet after the meal."
Lu Hao picked up his bowl and started eating, not saying a word.
Lu Jianguo just shook his head.
Song Jiajia didn't retort, she simply smiled at Liu Fenglan: "Okay."
Well then, that's even better.
Song Jiajia went to boil water without any complaint.
