Peter returned in the nighttime, being extremely late.
"Oh dear me.." Nezu says as Peter returns home
"Hmm, what is it sir?" All Might asks
"You will see in just a moment, I believe." The principal says, a hint of disappointment in his voice
He snuck and quietly walked in and stepped carefully to not make any noise. He then so spots the kitchen to see a ladder and a paint roller.
Many of the students eyes widened "Oh.."
Uraraka looked down "He missed fixing the kitchen with Uncle Ben.."
"I suppose He was preoccupied with his new abilities, so I don't think He should be fully to blame.." Kamakiri said
"Yeah, I mean, He did knock himself unconscious from that swing."
"A promise is a promise, if you don't make good on it, how could you expect to be a hero?" Aizawa said monotonely
He slowly makes his way in and sees the whole kitchen was painted, he hits himself over the head, and after He promise Uncle Ben too!
"Even He agrees."
To twist the knife even further, He notices a note nearby that read 'Poker night - There are meat and veggies is the oven, Michelangelo!'
He sighs, they were too good to him.
"Well, that was nice of them.." Kaminari says
"Even if He broke the promise, He is still family." Kendo scratches her head
After his meal, he decided to make himself useful and take out the trash, but as He was doing so, screams came from the Watson house.
And it was sadly stuff He had heard before.
Many cringed at the sounds of screaming coming from the Watson house.
Eri looks to Deku and Mirio "Is Mary Jane gonna be okay?" She asks them in fear for the redhead
Both offer condolences by holding her hands "No worries! Mary Jane is soon gonna leave this house and She'll be free from the bad man, like you are!" Mirio said
"Yes! And who knows, maybe She'll have a savior in Peter, like myself and Lemillion, looking after her."
Eri smiled and nodded "Okay.."
Escaping the yells of her abusive father, Mary Jane exits the house and walks into the backyard. That's where She notices Peter and both are flustered "You heard that?.." She asked in a 'Say it isn't so' tone.
Peter quickly plants the trash in the can "I was just.. taking out the trash..."
"Yeah, I don't think that's gonna make her feel any better, Pete." Setsuna says, looking at the two awkward teens
Mary Jane paces around the yard "I guess you can always hear us..."
Peter looked shyly away "Everyone shouts..." In the distance, He could see Mr Watson walk out of the house in a huff, maybe to get to a bar no doubt, the waste of space bastard.
"Your aunt and uncle don't." She points out
"Oh They can scream pretty loud sometimes," Peter says honestly "Aunt May, when She gets started, could make a sailor blush with what She could say." He jokes
The people in the audience also laughed at that, from what They saw of Aunt May, She did seemed like the nicest woman alive but it was funny to think That she'd have her limits.
This earns a giggle from the redhead, which brings a smile to his face. It made him feel good but He needed to clear his conscience
"Listen MJ, about today at school... I mean, with Flash-"
She stopped him right there "You really freaked us out today."
"Sounds about right, since Petey was a average nerd, suddenly seeing him punch his bully almost across the school would've been a shock to most people." Toga pointed out
"Petey?" Deku questioned
"Yeah, it's a cute nickname I came up with, because He's so cute and He reminds me of you, Izuku!" She blushed and held the sides of her face "I wonder if Petey is gonna bleed a lot in this movie!"
"I.. I don't think that's gonna happen.."
Madame Web looked at Miss Toga curiously, She wondered how She will react to the final battle between Peter and the green goblin 'Maybe it was a mistake to bring her... Oh well, too late now.'
"I'm sorry, is Flash okay?"
"He's just lucky you didn't give him a black eye for graduation." She smiled which ease his soul
"That's good, So maybe now Flash will leave Peter alone for graduation." Pony said
"Yeah, I think He would so out out of his league now that He wouldn't want to risk it." Sen pointed
They stood outside in silence before MJ looked to the house, He may be gone but there was still a lot of bad mojo there so She didn't want to go in just yet.
She looked at Pete in wonder "So where are you gonna go after you graduate?"
Mina slowly moved forward in her seat, liking where this was going
Peter, surprised she would ask, thinks for a moment "I uh... I want to move into the city." He says honestly "Hopefully get a job as a photographer... Work my way through college." MJ smiles at the nice plan He had "What about you?"
"A fine idea!" Iida praised, happy of Peter's work ethic
"Hopefully Peter will find some way He can use his abilities to properly succeed." Gentle said, very concerned
"Hmm? What do you mean? Are there any academies?" The gravity defying girl of 1-A said.
"Sadly no, miss Uraraka." Nezu said, partaking in some cheese flavored popcorn "This is the time before quirks, so there would not be any academies for young Peter to join and train to be a hero, so He must do inbetween school life and his social life."
"But that would mean-?!" Monoma yells, shocked at
"He's gonna be a vigilante." Dabi said slowly, shocked himself to hear that
"You say it like it's a bad thing." La Brava said, understanding the context and happily watching young Parker grow into the hero He is meant to be
"Vigilantes are criminal! Of course you would- EKK?!" The blonde douche shuts up as Gentle glares at him for La Brava's sake.
"No, I suppose They are right in this regard." All Might said
"HUH?!" The students and even the league of villain's were shocked to hear that coming from the symbol of peace's mouth.
"Why sound so surprised, haven't you read in your history books that the first generations of heroes were all vigilantes? Brave men and women who used their abilities for the good of mankind, all even before they started to get paid in the second and third generations." All Might smiled at Parker, a member of this universe's first generation "I explained to young Midoriya, of the importance of the first generation and how They did what They did without a penny to their hero names, like a community service!"
"Quite, even though Vigilantes are looked down upon now after we have established our rules and regulations, We mustn't forget the fights fought by the first generation that paved the way for all of us." Nezu smiles
She, in turn, was surprised. He wanted to know? Nobody want to know what She wanted.. Oh well, He asked "Headed to the city too." She huffed "Can't wait to get out of here... I wanna-" She cut herself off, He probably didn't to know all of that.
Pete, however, was actually very curious. "What?" He asked innocently
Mina smiled brighter, Yes...
She was not alone in finding the scene adorable as many of her female companions are really liking this scene.
Her eyes widened, He REALLY wanted to know? But what if He laughed...
Peter offered his own smile "Come on, try me."
She sighs, knowing He'll make fun of her for her childish dream "I want to act... on stage." She says meekly
Parker pauses.. and slaps himself over the head, of course! it was so obvious! "Really? That's perfect!"
She was surprised, did He just... say her dream was a good one? "R-Really?" She said stunned.
Mina's eyes flashed "Oh yeah, it's all coming together, love birds..."
"Of course! You were AWESOME in all of the school plays!" He boasted loudly
"Really?" She said, a hint of pride now within her.
"Yeah." He smiles "I cried like a baby when you played Cinderella!"
"Cinderella?" Eri asks
"The tale of a girl who with a magical fairy is able to meet a brave prince who rescues her from her abusive family and She lives happily ever after!" Uraraka said
"Wow~!" Eri says, happy with a tale like that. Mirio and Deku smile at the girl, making sure to find a copy of Cinderella for the girl to watch when this was all over
She looks at him deadpanned "Peter, That was 1st grade."
"Busted!" Setsuna snarked, finding the interaction both awkward and cute
"Still, it is sweet for him to remember something so fondly even after all those years, like He said earlier, He had his eyes on since before He even like girls." Pony said, blushing that a guy like Pete could remember something like that.
He blushes, having been called out for having his eye on her since elementary school "Well... Even so." He fights off the blush "Sometimes.. You know people, You can just... see what's coming."
MJ looks at him curiously "What do you see coming for you?"
Parker sends a quick look to his wrists and ponders this question, just what DOES He see going for this? "I.. Don't know?"
"You'll figure it out, Peter, give it time." Deku said with his male companions, along with Gentle and La Brava nodding to his words.
MJ keeps her eyes on him as He continues
"Whatever it is, It's something I've never felt before." He states wonderfully
MJ bites her lip and looks at him "And what do you see for me?" She asks earnestly
Mina bites her lip "Okay, Parker, this is your chance to make a good first impression... You CAN do it!" She urged
"For you?" He asks her and even if She did not respond, He could see She wanted to say 'Yes'. so He answered with the most honest answer He could say "You're gonna light up Broadway." He says, with no hint of doubt in his tone.
"YES! YES!" Mina cheered "That's my boy! That's my boy, right there! Woo-Hoo!" She yelled to the annoyance of the more crabbier people in the audience and the tired sighs of the others
She smiles the brightest smile She had ever felt in a while "You know, You're taller than you look."
He responds quickly "I hunch."
She smiles as sweet as honey "Don't." She says simply
Mina started doing a victory dance in her seat, nothing can kill her buzz now!
They both smile at each other, both having felt a certain... connection had just been formed.
Soon enough, a car pulled up in front of MJ's house, Flash having pulled up in a brand new fancy car as He called out for her, She looked between Flash and Peter, not wanting to leave the boy next door... but She was in a relationship and made a commitment..
..Except that "Damn you!" She said out loud
She sadly says "I gotta go." as She turns to go to Flash
Peter sadly says "Bye.." as He sees her get into the car and exclaim the car looked amazing, her tone very impressed. He watches as Flash drives away with MJ. He says simply "Cool car." Getting an idea.
Many eyebrows were raised, what was He planning?
Pete opened a newspaper and looked into brand new available cars only to see They were were all FAR out of his budget, He looked a dismayed until his eyes shifted to the used car section
"Yeesh, look at those Junkers..." Kendo said, unimpressed with the cars in the used section
That was more his price range, but where would He get the money fast enough?
"He's gonna use his powers... to make money?" Deku blinked, He shouldn't too shocked, plenty of heroes started off wanting to make money, hell, his best friend Uraraka confessed that that was her plan for her hero career, but to hear something similar coming from Peter just for a girl seemed... off.
"I mean, it's his body so I guess that's not too bad but still..." Midnight said, not sure how to react to the event
His eyes soon catch an advertisement for amateur wrestlers with a prize of $3000 dollars to the winner. With a certain caveat being 'Colorful characters a must!'
"Wrestling?! How manly!"
"Wrestling? What a joke." Monoma slumps in his seat, finding Parker's motivation kinda lacking, all for a girl, really?
He smirks, an image of MJ in his head smiling filling him with pride "Colorful characters? I'll give you a colorful character!'
He throws a notebook down and writes down the line 'COSTUME POSSIBILITES 1!'
"Ooo~! Costume time, baby!" Mei happily bounced in her seat, getting ready to see how a Gen 1 newbie creates a supersuit!
He creates a first suit, a strange winged man with an X mask before He decided to scrap it for being to complicated and the winged cape being much.
"Complicated design, and how would He get the cape to work?" Aizawa noted
"And how would He see though it? It had no eye holes!" Kaminari yelled
"That's simple, when you design masks like that, simply use lighter materials or a really good mesh-like substance for where the eyes are meant to be." Mei pointed out so costume trivia that Deku wrote down
He is seen tearing through other designs He felt weren't up to snuff. Himself looking disgruntled
"Have no fear, Young kouhai! The first drafts never work!" Mei said in full support
He is seen writing down 'Symbol?' before drawing various spiders, One being filled in with black marker.
"A symbol? So that's how They did it back then.." Deku said, quickly sketching a few of the spiders written in Peter's notebook
He draws a black and red suit that gave a threatening aura, but scrapped it with the text 'NEEDS MORE COLOR!'
"What the hell?! You pussy! That suit looked badass!" Bakugou yelled, liking that costume
Using the previous design as a base, He decided to switch the color black with mostly red and was getting better. He decides to color the sides with blue to break up the red blob. He drew lines of Spider webs into the red, because it just felt right
Many eyes widened, could it be?..
He colored the pants blue, the boots red with webs, added a belt line, drew in the symbol. He had made two large white pieces as the eye holes.
"Wow, those eyes look so dynamic~!" Mei gushed
He sat up to admire his final design for his suit, the iconic Spider-Man suit! He looked on in pride.
Many looked in awe of the spider outfit, looking so damn cool.
"A fine hero outfit!" Midnight said, approving of the costume, the right amount of flair and color to appeal to the masses, and just off putting enough to strike fear into the hearts of foes everywhere! "I approve!"
At the crack of dawn, Pete is seen training his new web abilities, paling a soda nearby him
He practiced his aiming, missing the first two shots, managing to web his soda to him, He then webs a nearby lamp and pulls it to him, He soon realizes how stupid that was and dodges, accidentally braking the lamp.
Outside, May calls out, wondering what was going on in Peter's room
"It's exercise, Aunt May. I'm not dressed."
Mineta and Midnight's eyes widened as They fell to the ground, laughing "Oh.. OH MY!"
Aizawa looked at his colleague like She was an idiot which She was "What the hell is wrong with you."
"I'm so surprised you didn't catch that shouta! That's the excuse boys use when They're... relieving themselves." Midnight giggled like mad
"Oh.. OH!" All Might's eyes widened at the implication Parker had just gave out
"How... Wow.." Momo said, blushing a storm like most of the girls nearby
"Jacking it, jackity jack, spackity spackity spack~! Jacking for the lord~!" Twice started singing to the annoyance of the league and those close by
"Oh dear lord, please forgive my ears for hearing that.." Ibarra shoved her fingers deep in her ears to block out the blasphemy from the villain.
"What?" Kota asked his aunt
"Um... I'll tell you when you get to Deku's age, okay?" Mandalay said, ignoring the teasing looks of her teammates.
"Same for all of you as well." Deku and Mirio said to Eri, Mahoro and Katsuma who were similarly curious.
Aunt May, confused, accepts his answers, telling her nephew that He was acting so weird lately.
Pete waves off the concern and closes the door to reveal his room was covered head to toe in webs. YUP, weird.
"AND HIS ROOM IS FILLED WITH LONG WHITE STICKY STRANDS AS WELL! HOLY HELL!" Mineta rolled on the ground, unable to believe a superhero just decided to cover up his activities by implying He was masturbating
Deku was blushing a storm as well, feeling kinda uncomfortable at that fact but wrote down "Secret identities, can make you say stupid stuff.."
A copy of the daily bugle is held with the front page bein 'OSCORP MIGHT LOSE CONTRACT TO QUEST', Norman read on getting angrier and angrier.
"That does not look good.." Sen said, scared at what Osborn's next plan of action will be
Suddenly a laugh is heard in the distance as Osborn searches, where could that be?
Many eyes widened at that laugh that sent shivers down everyone's spines, even the villains!
"It sounds... so much like..." All Might couldn't bring himself to finish
"Master?" Tomura Shigaraki was too alarmed at the laugh so similar to his master it hurt, then He smiled, Parker was going to die.
Ben is seen tinkering with a box of wires "Something's bothering him." He snips a wire "Maybe He's too embarrassed to tell me what it is or-" He rips out a useless wire "Maybe I'm too embarrassed to ask him, you think?" He asks May who was busy knitting "I don't know, I just don't know."
"I see Parker isn't all that good at keeping secrets to himself..." Aizawa
"It seems they don't know of his abilities, which is the most important thing so far, but that leaves without too many answers and so They are curious.." All Might said in response, himself knowing how it feels.
Peter is seen walking down the stairs quickly as He heads towards the front door "I'm going to the downtown library, I'll see you later."
Ben stops him "Wait Pete, I'll uh- I'll drive you there." He said getting up.
The younger man tried to refuse "I'll just take the subway."
"No, No I need the exercise. Go on, Go, go, go." He pushes him out the door, giving a small gesture to May, who rolls her eyes at the goofy gesture.
"Ugh.. how annoying." Shigaraki huffed at the insistence of Ben driving Peter to the library
Soon, Uncle Ben's car pulls up and finds a spot in front of the library.
Pete tries to leave "Thanks for the ride, Uncle Ben."
"Now wait a minute, we need to talk."
"Oh boy, that's never good." Kaminari pointed out
"Nope." La Brava and Toga agree.
"We can talk later." He tries to escape the situation
"Or We can talk now." He shuts off the car "If you'd let me."
Peter sighs exhaustively "What do we have to talk about, why now?"
"Because We haven't talked for so long, your aunt and I don't even know who you are anymore." He opened the floodgates "You shirk your chores, you have all those weird experiments in your room, You start fights at school."
"I didn't start that fight, I told you that!" He snaps
"Well, You sure as hell finished it." Ben countered calmly
"What was I supposed to do, run away?"
"No, you are not supposed to run away, but-" Ben struggled to find the right words "Pete look, You're changing, I know, I went through exactly the same thing at your age."
Peter scoffs "No, not exactly."
This brought a chuckle to everyone as They were getting invested by the movie and Ben's words
"Peter, these are the years where a man changes into the man He's going to be going to be for the rest of his life." He readjusts himself in his seat "Just be careful who you change into."
"That is correct young ones, your youth sets on the journey you say take for the rest of your life, be that Hero, Villain or Vigilante. You must be careful for one small mistake would be all it takes to change your destiny forever." Nezu pointed out
Peter looks down, as if to process this information.
"This guy, Flash Thompson," Ben continues "He probably deserved what happened, but just because you CAN beat him up, doesn't give you the right to."
Bakugou, himself, processed Ben's words, Here He stood, the strongest of his school since kindergarden and what did He use it for, hurting people like Deku for years, only know is He seeing the absolute brat He was, the pressures of those who pushed him up were no excuse to go that far, even if his own philosophy was agreed with the people.
Finally, with a certain gusto, Ben imparts his greatest wisdom "Remember, with great power comes great responsibility."
"EXCELLENT!" Nezu clapped "That is perfect!"
"Perfect? Sir?"
"With the increase cases of harm against the quirk less in our society," Bakugou flinched "A mantra like this could be what is needed to sway the masses to use more caution!"
"I think you might be right..." All Might said "With Great Power come Great Responsibility, I like it!"
Deku clenched his fist "With Great power.." Power to help the people, power to protect, power to save.
Bakugou released his fist "come Great Responsibility.." Responsibility, He had heard this word his entire life but He never felt it applied to him, until today...
Peter snaps back "Are you afraid that I'm gonna become some sort of criminal?"
Many jaws dropped, that took a turn.
"Oh... this isn't gonna be good." Gentle winced.
Ben looked confused, What?
"Quit worrying about me, okay? Some things are different, Okay? Something's different, I'll figure it out. Stop Lecturing me PLEASE!"
"Brat, freaking BRAT." Aizawa was annoyed with Parker, whining like a child and not listening to Ben's words.
"I don't mean to lecture and I don't mean to preach, and I know I am not your father-"
"THEN STOP PRETENDING TO BE!"
And many more gasps rang in the audience
Deku dropped his pencil and book, unable to form words.
"He-He didn't just..." Uraraka said
"Oh my dear lord.." Ibarra sat shocked at Parkers words
"Too far, man... Too far..." Kaminari stated
"Ben's a good guy, punk.." Dabi frowned, more than willing to give arm or leg to replace Endeavor with Ben
"Um... We're supposed to like this guy, right?" Shigaraki questioned, surprised the 'hero' would say something downright cruel. He was more interested, that's for sure but He was very confused.
