Ibiki: Submit your application, and you will be given a number in return. [Shows them a card with the number one.] This number will determine where they will sit. We will begin with the written exams once everyone is seated.
Naruto: What? That? [Kabuto and Sakura turned to look at him] Did he say written? [Naruto saw some of the ninjas in charge with some papers in their hands] NO, DON'T LET IT BE WRITTEN!
The audience were greatly surprised and some were more than let down upon finding out that the exam is going to be written.
"Wait what!?" Uraraka exclaimed in surprise.
"Written!? The ultra difficult chunin exam is written!? What kind of joke is this!?" Bakugo exclaimed in disbelief at what he just heard.
"It has to be a joke." Tetsutetsu said. "It can't be a written exam."
"Surely it has to be a joke of some kind." Kirishima said. "It can't be that it doesn't involve fights or some very difficult challenge."
"Maybe it is a very difficult exam and for which you have to study a lot? Like the ones you do to enter university." Rin said thoughtfully.
"Well, you'll see." Felicity said making the rest of the audience look at her. "While it is true that the exam is written, there is a purpose to that." The audience was confused by this and some tried to think off what purpose this exam could possibly have.

Midoriya writes down in his notebook what he has been able to learn about the Chunin exam and prepares to write down anything else.

The audience got excited when they saw the title.
"Good title." Iida commented happily, partly because it reminds him a little of his Quirk.
"Wow yes!" Katsuma said excitedly.
"It's sure to be a boring episode." Bakugo huffed, losing interest at the fact that the Chunin exam is written.
"Wait and see Bakugo." Felicity thought, amused, imagining her reaction when she sees the true purpose of the exam and what you have to do to pass.
[Several ninjas were sitting in a corner, each one has a clipboard in their possession, while the participants were already in their seats.]
Naruto: Oh! I have no idea where the others will sit[Naruto looked around without seeing any of his companions, he clutches his head with his hands out of worry.] I'm alone Oh! This is going to make a mess.

The audience got a little upset hearing Sakura's words.

"Although it is strange that they only deduct two points." Midoriya said thoughtfully. "If they are caught cheating, why don't they expel them immediately? Why give them five chances before expelling them?" The audience is surprised to hear this detail.

Koda on the other hand was surprised to notice that Kiba's ability is similar to his Quirk.

Somewhere else, the girl who was with Lee and Neji spoke to Lee
"Lee, when you can see, adjust your headband."
[The girl started moving the strings on her fingers to move the mirror in Lee's direction. Lee, now able to see the answers, held his headband on his forehead.]
"Oh wow! What's this girl's ability?" Nejire said with interest.
"Hopefully we can see more of her and her abilities." Yaoyorozu said with interest. "Although when did she put those mirrors up?"
"No idea." Ashido said also surprised by that fact.
"Maybe she's very fast, like Kakashi and the sand boy." Iida said.
"Maybe." Asui said although she is not entirely sure.
"She and her partner get along quite well." Thirteen noticed. "Not only did she manage to copy, but she also helped his partner copy as well."

Naruto: What will that question be? Will it be easy? And what if not? If I answer it wrong I will be a Genin for the rest of my life and things will not turn out the way I want. But I can't not answer it because otherwise we will all fail. I can't do that to others.
"It's nice to see how he cares about his teammates." Nejire said.
"Surely they can handle this. Don't be discouraged!" Mirio ecouraged.
"Come on Naruto! You can do it!" Katsuma exclaimed supporting Naruto.

The audience became increasingly worried at the prospect that Sakura (not Naruto because they highly doubt he would give up) would raise her hand and Team 7 would be disqualified.

The audience is surprised by what they are seeing and the students who had doubts before about what they would do if they were in that situation gained determination, similar to how Bakugo's words had done before. If they wanted to become heroes, they could not give up, no matter what the difficulties or obstacles were in their path.

The rest of the audience nods in agreement, even the villains agree with this since they consider that if Naruto existed in their world he could really help people since he would not judge or discriminate against them. He would be a better hero than any hero that existed in their world, All Might included.
Ibiki: Wow! I must admire your determination. For those who stayed, I only have one thing left to do. And that's why I have to tell you... That you all passed the exam. [All the genins are surprised to hear it.]
Sakura: One second. What has happened? What do you mean by what we passed? And the tenth question?

"I don't know who he thinks he's fooling." Kamikiri grinned. "It's even more obvious than Konohamaru's camouflage."
Sasuke: Incredible. Idiot.
"Not even emo bought that." Bakugo said.
"Although I don't know why he's so surprised." Tsuburaba said. "It's really not that surprising that Naruto wasn't able to figure it out."

The rest of the audience nods in agreement as they recognize the importance of the information.
Ibiki: And sometimes they will have to risk their lives to obtain it.
Sasuke: Just look at those wounds! What a horrible life.
The audience tenses upon hearing these words. The students in particular feel somewhat nervous and scared since they recognize that as heroes they will most likely find themselves in situations that will endanger their lives and that it is highly possible that they will receive injuries like the ones Ibiki has, but those are the risks that exist in a profession like the one they chose.
Ibiki: Of course you should always consider the source of the information. [Ibiki replaced his headband] The information obtained from the enemy is not necessarily accurate. Always keep this in mind. Misinformation can be worse than misinformation. They can lead to the death of their comrades or the ruin of a village. The rest of the audience nods in agreement, while the villains (Dabi in particular) have fun remembering the times they misled the heroes with false information.
Temari: I still don't understand what the tenth question consisted of.
Ibiki: Really? The tenth question was the main point of the entire exam. You probably noticed it.
Sakura: Sure, but still, explain it.
"Yes please." Ashido said. "I still have doubts about it."
Ibiki: As I said before, the goal of the exam was not only to see them individually but also as part of a team. The final question gave them two options. Both difficult, they could choose not to risk it and avoid the question even if it meant that their entire team would fail or they could try to answer it knowing that if they missed they would forever lose their chance to be Chunin. There was no positive option, but it is a decision similar to those that Chunin face daily. For example, let me give you a hypothetical mission. Steal a document from an enemy stronghold. They have no idea how many enemy ninja there are or how well armed they are. And even more so, if they have reason to believe that the enemy awaits them. So they must be careful not to fall into a trap. Now do you have the option to accept that mission or not? Would my comrades and I rather live than fight another day? Can they choose to avoid danger? No. There will be many missions that will seem suicidal if you consider them. But you shouldn't think about that. Just think about the goal and achieving it through courage and discipline. Those are the qualities required by a Chunin who leads a team. Those who choose the safest option, those who hesitate when faced with adversity, those who put the lives of their comrades in danger, those who prefer to save their necks, despite paying the price of their sacred honor, can never be called Chunin. At least not while I'm here.
The audience who still didn't get it was silent, as they were absorbing Ibiki's explanation.
"Oh, so that was it." Aizawa said surprised. "Brilliant indeed."
"They had to decide whether or not to take the risk. Of course each decision would have its consequences but they still had to decide whether to withdraw and play it safe, being able to take the chunin exam another time or risk the possibility of forever losing the opportunity to become chunin. Most of the students refuse to believe any of his words as they cannot believe that a hero is responsible for any questionable act, while others like the Todoroki brothers shift uncomfortably in their seats thinking about their father and his questionable actions, such as marrying solely to have children with a Quirk superior to his own, and his abuse and neglect of his family, recognizing that at least some heroes are quite questionable.
Ibiki: And for the rest of you, who answered correctly the tenth question I asked you. They have earned the right to continue to the next step. They have advanced through the first door. I hereby declare this first part of the Chunin Selection Exam completed. I just have to wish you all good luck.
Naruto: Great, we did it, yes! Yeah! Yeah!
Ibiki: This little boy is very nice.
The audience is happy to see that team 7 has passed the first phase of the chunin exams.
"They passed!" Eri and Katsuma squeled in joy.
"Oh yeah!" Hatsume exclaimed equally excited.
"Well, they passed the first level." Shigaraki said. "Although I'm sure the next level is going to be more complicated."
"More complicated? Ugh!" Kaminari said nervously imagining it.
"Oh they have no idea. And on top of that it's going to be even more complicated than usual thanks to the fact that he's going to be present." Felicity thought that she already knows what awaits them in The Forest of Death.
"Anyway, I want to see what's next." Bakugo said. "I hope there is some action in the next phase."
"What a good song. Once again it highlights the moment very well." Jiro said.
[Ibiki looked at the window seeing how something broke the window glass, and then saw how some kunai were stuck in the ceiling and the floor opening a curtain.]
Everyone is shocked to see what just happened on the screen.
"But what the hell just happened?" Fukidashi asked surprised.
"It seems like someone likes to make grand entrances." Tiger said.
Naruto: Does the exam include this?
Ibiki: Mmm eating cravings, as always.
"Oh, it seems that Ibiki knows this person, who is it?" Uraraka said.
"It's probably the next sensor." Iida said, to which several nodded in agreement, finding this highly probable.
?: Very well, boys and girls, there is no time to celebrate. I will be your next sensor. Anko Mitarashi.
"Hmm. So this woman, Anko is the next sensor they are going to have." Thirteen said. Midoriya, for his part, creates a page for Anko in his notebook.
"She's a very loud woman, ribbit." Asui said looking at Anko.
"She's also very pretty!" Mineta said, looking at her in a perverted manner, which caused Jiro to hit him with his Earphone Jack.
Kushina on the other hand looks at Anko in surprise. "Anko has grown a lot in this time. I just hope she's okay, although of course, I highly doubt she'll fully recover after what happened to her. Orochimaru not only marked her with that horrible seal, but also betrayed her trust. Poor girl, that was really hard on her." She thought solemnly.

Anko: Wow, there are a lot of them, huh? Ibiki you let all of them pass. Your exam probably was very easy. You're softening.
"Very easy? Softening?" Jiro exclaimed in disbelief at what she just heard.
"That exam was really very difficult!" Tetsutetsu exclaimed in surprise.
"Many? He eliminated several during the exam!" Tokage exclaimed.
"But there are still many." Kushina said to the surprise of the audience. "It's quite unusual that so many have passed."
"I…impressive." Midoriya said surprised by this information, while writing in his notebook.
"They weren't kidding when they said these exams were really hard, ribbit." Asui said.
Ibiki: Or it could be that this year's candidates are more suitable.
Anko: Mmm, they don't look like it. Before I finish, more than half will be eliminated.
"M…more than half!?" Awase exclaimed.

[Later Ibiki was picking up the exams, until he was surprised to see one of the exams picking it up from the table and tightly squeezing the other exams and then smiling.]
Ibiki: I approved a candidate who didn't answer a single question. Naruto Uzumaki. Mmm the rascal got his way.
"Well, you said it yourself. "Better not to copy than to do it foolishly." Midnight smirked, quoting him.
"So by not copying, Naruto ended up doing the right thing." Sero said.
"That was just luck, considering that unlike others he didn't realize the real purpose of the exam." Aizawa said.
[The next day, the Genins who passed the exam gather on the outskirts of a forest with bars around them.]
Naruto: Whoa! What a nice place. Where are we? [There is a sign indicating that it is a restricted area.]
Anko: This is the location of the second phase of the exam. It is zone forty-four of battle training. But we call it, The Forest of Death.
Naruto: [Surprised and scared] The Forest… of Death?
The audience tensed when they hear the name of the place where they will do the second part of the chunin exams, but they are also expectant about what they will see next.
"F…Forest of Death." Awase said scared.
"What a name they gave it..." Mineta said scared.
"Oh! This reminds me of our training camp!" Pixie-Bob exclaimed excitedly.
"I wonder would it be like our forest training?" Mandalay said with interest.
"Oh, you have no idea." Felicity thought.
"Well what are you waiting for!? Play the next episode. Now!" Bakugo exclaimed, excited for what he would see next and eager to finally see a good fight.
