Chapter 263 - LHW Chapter 263: Isn't the runway wide enough?

"Isn't the school gate in that direction?"

After leaving the club building, Chihaya Anon had just walked two steps towards the school gate slope when she saw Asakura and Asagumo Chihaya tacitly heading towards a quieter corner of Soubu High School.

"Just follow us."

Asakura made a 'shush' gesture and led the bewildered girl towards the side of the school.

Although there was a side gate in that direction, students generally didn't exit from there—of course, not because the door couldn't be opened from that side, a situation Miyazaki Hidekazu might have encountered as a child—but because it was actually the faculty parking lot.

If you walked from the side gate, the path was not only longer but also further from the train station, which was most convenient for students' commutes. There was even the risk of encountering teachers, so students were rarely seen using this gate.

"So what are we doing here?"

Upon arriving at the small parking lot on campus, Chihaya Anon joked, "Surely none of these cars are yours, are they?"

Then she watched as an old Ford car surfaced from beneath an empty parking space, like a rising submarine.

The scene was so bizarre that the girl's linguistic function short-circuited for a moment; she opened her mouth but couldn't say anything.

"That's right, you guessed it."

It was then that Asakura leisurely said.

He took out a key and pressed it ostentatiously.

The old Ford hesitated for a moment, then directly opened all four doors along with the trunk.

Asakura silently walked up to it, expressionlessly kicking one of its tires.

And so, even the hood opened.

Chihaya Anon finally regained her ability to speak. She looked suspiciously at the old car, which seemed like it could fall apart at any moment, and uncertainly asked Asagumo Chihaya, who was walking beside her, "Can this car really run?"

"Of course, it can."

Asagumo Chihaya replied with a smile.

"But it looks like it'll fall apart halfway…"

Chihaya Anon mumbled.

"Don't mind it, there's Magic."

Asagumo Chihaya said.

And so Chihaya Anon accepted it.

That's right, all these inexplicable things must be Magic! Never mind if it's reasonable or not, as long as it's Magic, it's fine!

After Asakura spent about a minute and a half negotiating with the old Ford (Asakura: For the sake of the Whomping Willow, if you don't behave, I'll have to make you self-destruct), Chihaya Anon finally got in.

Just like other passengers, after getting into the car, the young girl was first surprised by the spacious interior, which was completely unnoticeable from the outside.

"But Asakura doesn't look very old; he doesn't seem like a teacher or anything. Won't he be stopped by the gatekeepers or security guards if he drives out like this?"

The young girl said with some concern.

"Don't worry, we're not taking the side gate."

Ah.

Asakura started the old car.

"If we're not taking the side gate, are we taking the main gate? It doesn't seem like there's a direct driveway to the front yard in the parking lot?"

The young girl asked curiously, "And there should be quite a few students leaving the school through the front yard right now, is it really okay if they see us?"

"It's fine, isn't the track on the playground very wide!"

Asakura said cheerfully.

"Are you serious?"

Chihaya Anon widened her eyes, thinking Asakura was just joking, but before she could ask anything, she saw Asakura step on the gas, seemingly really intending to drive straight onto the playground. The young girl's expression instantly froze. She grabbed the back of the front seat with both hands, struggled to stand up, leaned forward, and shouted loudly, "Are you crazy? There are still people training on the playground and track right now!"

"Don't worry, Takuma-kun is just joking."

Asagumo Chihaya, like comforting a large dog, pulled her back, pressed her into the seat, and fastened her seatbelt.

"But…"

Chihaya Anon still wanted to say something, and then she found that the old Ford didn't shoot out towards the playground as she had expected, creating a horrific super-large car accident. Instead, in a way she completely couldn't understand, it directly lifted into the air and glided in the empty sky.

"Oh, and this."

Asakura forcefully pressed an invisible button.

And so, the entire old Ford instantly became invisible under the young girl's astonished gaze.

At this moment, even if they were to fly directly over the heads of students and teachers, the students and teachers wouldn't be able to discover them; they would only feel a sudden cool breeze. At most, the rigid disciplinary director's wig would be blown away, and he would have to chase after it for a while.

"Good…"

Chihaya Anon lowered her voice.

"What's wrong?"

Asagumo Chihaya, worried that the other party was scared, gently comforted her, "Don't worry, nothing will happen. Asakura's driving skills are quite good."

"How amazing! This is what a modern Magician should feel like! It's truly incredible!"

However, Chihaya Anon wasn't worried about Asakura's driving skills at all. Instead, she kept saying loudly, her expression looking a bit excited, "It's a pity I can't tell anyone, otherwise, many people would be super envious!"

"Uh…"

Asagumo Chihaya, who hadn't expected such a reaction from the other party, was momentarily speechless.

It feels like this child has a big heart. No wonder when she was targeted by the strange, she only thought she was under too much stress and didn't notice anything wrong. With her thick-skinned nature, even if she encounters a yandere in the future, she might only think the other person is just a bit enthusiastic and unrestrained...

"Don't get too excited and touch things randomly—" Asakura's voice sounded from the driver's seat, "This guy has quite a temper. If you make it too uncomfortable, it might just throw you out of the car."

"How interesting—" Chihaya Anon laughed for a while, then asked Asagumo Chihaya, whose expression hadn't changed, only showing a faint smile, "Asakura must just be joking, right?"

"Unfortunately, no."

But it was Asakura who answered again. He said, "Haven't you ever sneezed?"

And so Chihaya Anon immediately stopped her random touching, sitting upright with the demeanor of a young lady, even keeping her legs neatly together, temporarily becoming a static beauty.

It must be said that while Chihaya Anon was quite annoying when she was boisterous, when she quieted down, she was quite the young lady—even though Gotō Hitori, who also had pink hair, would only look like a large slime even when she was quiet…

"I just told you not to move around, don't stop talking."

Asakura then complained, "If you don't tell me, how will I know where your house is?"

"Oh, oh…"

So the young girl hurriedly started to give her home address.

The invisible old Ford flew through the sky, heading towards the place the young girl had mentioned, facing the setting sun.
