Chapter 303 - Chapter 303: Black Rayquaza: “What the—Little Green Turned Red?!”

A thunderous roar burst through the heavens as the colossal beast howled.

Primal Groudon threw its head back and let out an enraged bellow, scorching heat surging violently from its body.

Desolate Land!

Blistering sunlight poured down from the sky, so blinding that even opening one's eyes fully became difficult.

Necrozma lifted its head slightly.

This dazzling light, it was practically delicious to it!

Huuuu~

Sunlight was continuously absorbed into its body, and very quickly the blazing rays in the sky began to dim.

Necrozma could not devote itself to absorbing light wholeheartedly, because it was still facing off against Primal Kyogre, and not far away, Ice rider Calyrex was also watching it like a hawk.

But absorbing light and Ultra Energy was its innate ability. Even in battle, it could still take small "bites" whenever it found an opening.

As Necrozma absorbed a massive amount of sunlight, Primal Groudon once again activated Desolate Land, causing the scorching brilliance to shine fiercely down once more.

Then, Primal Groudon opened its maw, launching blazing fireballs toward Baraz's side.

Eruption!

At the same time, Giratina's massive centipede-like body twisted sinuously, phasing rapidly between the real world and the Distortion World as it closed in at high speed.

"Dodge!"

Lucas barked sharply to the white dragon beneath him.

Reshiram beat its wings, carrying both Lucas and Baraz swiftly into the sky, narrowly avoiding the surging flames.

"Eternatus, Max Cannon!"

Lucas tossed out a Poké Ball. The massive, monstrous skeletal dragon emerged with a roar as dazzling red energy condensed at its chest.

Max Cannon!

The ominous crimson beam blasted straight toward Giratina.

However, Giratina's body suddenly dissolved into a ghostly phantom.

The Max Cannon passed straight through it without even grazing.

It was Giratina's signature move, Shadow Force!

In this state, Giratina entered an unreachable extradimensional phase, immune to all attacks.

Though the Max Cannon struck nothing, Giratina's spectral form kept charging forward at terrifying speed.

When it neared Eternatus, its body solidified once more, faint ghostly light swirling around it as it rammed brutally into Eternatus.

"Raaah!!"

Eternatus roared in pain, its massive form being knocked backward by the impact.

"What a nuisance. Dragon Pulse!"

Lucas's brows tightened.

Compared to the other two creation dragons, Dialga and Palkia, Giratina was far more troublesome.

Even though Dialga controlled time and Palkia commanded space, their power was not overwhelmingly oppressive when facing opponents of similar rank.

Giratina, however, could freely slip into an invulnerable extradimensional state even mid-battle, making it extremely hard to deal with.

Eternatus gathered draconic energy inside its maw, while at the same time, purple-black energy condensed in front of Giratina.

Shadow Ball!

Dragon Pulse!

The two attacks launched simultaneously, crashing into each other and sending both legendary Pokémon flying backward from the impact.

"This is way too intense!"

In the distance, Green stared wide-eyed at the chaotic clash of legends. She had seen many mythical battles, yet none had ever shaken her like this.

Everywhere she looked—nothing but legendary Pokémon that normally only existed in ancient ruins and myths.

There were more than ten of them!

"This trip… was absolutely worth it. Completely worth it."

Archer couldn't hide the excitement on his face. He held up his phone, snapping pictures nonstop.

He finally understood why Marnie always carried a video camera around…

Scenes like this, who could resist recording them?

"And Mr. Lucas is unbelievably strong. He's been hiding his true capability far too deeply."

Archer clicked his tongue as he stared at Reshiram.

Even surrounded by so many legendary Pokémon, Lucas could still hold his ground.

It was absurd, completely ridiculous!

"But the situation is still very disadvantageous."

Sabrina's cold, doll-like face tightened slightly in concern.

Even though all the incoming attacks had been blocked, the overall situation was still grim.

Especially because the entity that had summoned six top-tier legends had yet to make a move.

No matter how one looked at it, that terrifying Pokémon was clearly the true boss here.

"Lucas rarely does anything he's not confident in. Besides…"

Giovanni smiled faintly and looked toward Yveltal and Zygarde.

They were not Lucas's allies but the rampaging Hoopa wouldn't distinguish sides.

Meanwhile, in the battlefield—

"Primal Groudon can't fly, so it's not the biggest threat. The real problem is…"

Lucas glanced at Primal Groudon.

Since the massive creature couldn't take to the skies, it wasn't too concerning—as long as they were careful to avoid its long-range attacks.

Besides…

Primal Groudon seemed to be headed toward the enraged Zygarde instead…

But Evil Hoopa had not yet made a move!

Lucas's gaze shifted toward Evil Hoopa at the back of the battlefield.

The terrifying creature stared deathly at Hoopa, its eyes glowing blood-red.

"Hoopa, can you summon a helper for us?"

Lucas asked the weakened Hoopa in Baraz's arms.

"I can… but Hoopa can only summon one now…"

Hoopa's mental clarity had recovered significantly. It spoke softly in its childlike voice.

Unlike its unbound form, Hoopa could only control three spatial rings at once. Two were already being used to maintain Yveltal and Xerneas.

Without dismissing those two legends, it couldn't use those rings to summon another.

"It's fine. One is enough."

Lucas told it the target he wanted summoned.

"Hoopa~!"

Hoopa removed one of its rings and hurled it high into the air. The ring expanded rapidly.

But at that same moment—

Another spatial ring appeared silently behind Reshiram.

"Lucas!"

Always alert, Baraz spotted it immediately and paled.

"Reshiram!"

Lucas shouted a warning.

From within the ring, Evil Hoopa's monstrous head emerged, followed by a massive arm swinging downward, cloaked in dark energy.

Reshiram shot upward, narrowly avoiding the Hyperspace Fury.

Evil Hoopa climbed fully out of the ring—its towering body drenched in malevolent red glow.

"Disappear!!"

A deep, hatred-filled telepathic voice echoed.

Dark energy churned violently in front of it.

Dark Pulse!

"Fusion Flare!"

A blazing fireball formed before Reshiram, surrounded by serpentine streams of fire.

The two attacks collided with explosive force.

BOOM!

The clash pushed Fusion Flare back—Evil Hoopa was overpowering it.

Seeing this, Reshiram detonated the fireball early.

A fiery shockwave burst outward, forcing Reshiram back.

"Careful, Reshiram!"

But before it could stabilize—

Two more spatial rings appeared suddenly, one behind Reshiram and one to its side.

Lucas immediately shouted another warning.

Two enormous fists shot out—

Dual Hyperspace Fury!

Reshiram twisted desperately in midair.

It could dodge the fist behind it.

But the one on its side—no matter what, it would be hit.

"Genesec—"

"GENE!!"

Lucas released Genesect, planning to use Protect.

But before Genesect could even land—

A thunderous dragon roar tore through the battlefield.

A massive black tail, glowing with cyan energy, swept upward and smashed directly into Hoopa's incoming fist.

A violent shockwave erupted, nearly throwing Reshiram off balance.

Hyperspace Fury vs. Dragon Ascent!

The two powers clashed, then exploded apart.

Failing to land the blow, Evil Hoopa roared in fury, turning its blood-red gaze upward.

There, floating in the sky, was a magnificent black Mega Rayquaza.

"Whew~ Rayquaza, thanks."

Lucas exhaled in relief.

Yes, he had asked Hoopa to summon the Shiny Rayquaza.

Among all legendaries not yet present on the battlefield, aside from the impossible-to-summon Arceus, the strongest choice was Black Rayquaza.

Although Lucas possessed Shiny Rayquaza's scale, allowing his Rayquaza to call it,

Rayquaza had said that the black one usually drifted in outer space.

Even rushing over at top speed would take time.

Summoning was far quicker.

"Another Rayquaza and it's black…"

Baraz's heart hammered violently.

The danger earlier had shaken him badly.

But once he recovered, he stared dumbfounded at the sky.

Good grief…

One red Rayquaza and one green Rayquaza were already fighting above.

Now a black Rayquaza joined them.

How many Rayquaza existed?!

And why were their colors getting progressively more… flamboyant?

"Long time no see, humans. What on earth are you doing here?"

Black Rayquaza's shimmering emerald patterns rippled gently as it scanned the battlefield.

Was this… a legendary Pokémon free-for-all?

"Eh? What the—why is Little Green red now?!"

Black Rayquaza froze. Its telepathic voice cracked in utter disbelief.

That was Little Green!

So why the hell was Little Green RED now?!

Could Rayquaza become a shiny AFTER birth!?

If not for its familiar aura, it wouldn't have recognized its own nephew.

And why was Little Green fighting its father!?

"…We'll explain the color situation later. Rayquaza, an evil Hoopa's power is out of control. It summoned countless legends and corrupted their minds. Please help us."

Lucas said quickly, skipping the matter of his Rayquaza's sudden color change.

"That big one, huh? I understand."

Black Rayquaza temporarily set aside its burning curiosity and focused its gaze on Evil Hoopa.

Green light flared across its body as its pressure surged.

"ROOOOAR!!"

Shiny Rayquaza shot forward like a living meteor, charging directly at Hoopa.

No need for talk—just hit it head-on!

"Annoying creature!"

Evil Hoopa's eyes blazed red as it unfurled all six arms, black ghostly light swirling around them.

Hyperspace Fury, Six-Arm Version!

Hoopa's move was special—

One arm could use Hyperspace Fury.

But Evil Hoopa had six.

And the power difference was terrifying.

Green brilliance slashed through the sky.

All six of Hoopa's fists crashed forward at once.

Dragon Ascent vs. Hyperspace Fury!

BOOOOOOM!!!

Black wind and emerald light violently collided, producing shockwaves strong enough to warp the ground beneath them into a crater.

Hurricanes erupted outward.

Reshiram immediately raised a barrier to avoid getting swept away.

"So strong… even Black Rayquaza can't overpower it?"

Lucas narrowed his eyes.

Black Rayquaza's Dragon Ascent was not suppressing Evil Hoopa.

Black Rayquaza's power was unquestionable—among top-tier legendaries, it ranked very high.

Only Eternamax Eternatus and Ultra Necrozma might surpass it.
