Every muscle in his body screamed for rest, his broken ribs grinding with each shallow breath, blood still seeping from the deep laceration along his side. But his grip on the weapon never wavered.
The hundred-meter dark palm descended from above like divine judgment, its shadow engulfing him completely. The pressure wave preceding its arrival made the ground beneath his feet crack and buckle, stone fragmenting into smaller and smaller pieces as the technique approached.
Liam knew with absolute certainty that with his decision of taking on the attack, he was biting off far more than he could chew. A Void Amalgamation cultivator was simply beyond his current capabilities, even with all his advantages, even with his enhanced physiology and legendary equipment. The tier difference was too vast, the power gap too fundamental.
But leaving wasn't an option.
