Liam appeared in the foyer of Bellemere Mansion.
Mason, Nick, Evelyn, and the other maids were already waiting for him. They had been standing in formation for nearly ten minutes the moment Daniel notified them of Liam's return, and that he wasn't too far from home.
But even with all the preparation in the world, nothing could prepare someone for a person who just… materialized into the room out of thin air.
A faint ripple of shock ran through them, but to their credit, they hid it well, as Daniel had drilled them relentlessly on self-control and composure.
"Welcome home, sir," Mason said with a bow.
"Welcome back, Mr. Liam," Evelyn added, her voice warm but steady.
The others bowed deeply in unison.
"Hey, Evelyn I'm back," he smiled.
Despite their training, the maids were exchanging glances and they were glad to see him again. The mansion had been too quiet without him.
Evelyn stepped forward. "Sir, dinner is ready. If you're hungry…?"
