Gu Yuena calmly followed the Spirit of the Plane, arriving once again at this place. The Demon Plane was far less powerful than the Douluo Plane. Even the strongest among the demons, the Demon Monarch Ah Erba, only possessed the strength of a Limit Douluo, not even reaching the quasi-deity level.
Even with the suppression from the plane, Di Tian could utterly defeat him.
Moreover… the Golden-Eyed Black Dragon King, who inherently wielded dark attributes, felt even more at ease in this Demon Plane brimming with thick dark energy. His thousand-meter dragon form manifested, and the surging black flames brewing in his maw wiped out thousands of demons with each casual attack.
"That Demon Monarch is not the master of this plane, nor does he have the plane's favor. His death is only a matter of time," the Spirit of the Plane observed the battle and explained.
Gu Yuena watched as the ferocious beasts wreaked havoc among the demon hordes. Their years of pent-up frustration, resentment, and hatred seemed to have found an outlet—especially Xiong Jun. His several-hundred-meter-tall Darkgolden Terrorclaw Bear form rampaged across the dark plains, bolstered by his innate formidable defense and the battle armor bestowed upon him by Bai Xu.
Wan Yaowang, on the other hand, was far more cautious. He manipulated countless plants, wrapping them around living demon bodies and delivering them into Bai Xu's Heaven and Earth Five Directions Five Elements Grand Array. To his surprise, he discovered that the array seemed capable of absorbing the life force of these demons.
Thus, he intensified his efforts, frantically tossing barely alive demons into the array.
"My Lady." Bi Ji approached slowly, offering a light smile and a respectful bow to Gu Yuena.
"Mm. What are the casualties among the soul beasts?" Gu Yuena asked.
"With the Jade Swan Clan present, almost all can be healed as long as they are not completely dead. Moreover, that lord's grand array seems to have gained sentience—wounded soul beasts entering it can also receive healing. The array's scale has already enveloped the entire Dark Forest, and as we continue to feed demons into it, it is still expanding."
Beside Bi Ji stood a Three-Eyed Golden Lion. Though it had not yet taken human form and was still somewhat naive, it had already developed intelligence, nearing ten thousand years of cultivation.
"My… My Lady?" The Three-Eyed Golden Lion spoke in human tongue, timidly hiding behind Bi Ji.
"Come and pay respects to Her Majesty," Bi Ji said gently.
The lion did not assume human form but lowered its front body slightly in a gesture of reverence.
"I'm curious—what do you think of Bai Xu?" Seeing this, Gu Yuena seemed to develop a hint of inquisitiveness.
"Lord Bai Xu… is the one who gave me life. Naturally, I had to come and help him…"
Bi Ji explained from the side, "All the soul beasts Lord Bai Xu created that day possessed high intelligence, and their cultivation speed far surpasses that of their kin. Once they heard the Beast God's summons, they all came."
The main battlefield was naturally a contest of high-level combatants, but the dark plains where Xiong Jun led the soul beast army was where the fiercest clashes took place. The black demons and the beast tide collided like two opposing waves, engaging in the most primal form of slaughter.
In the sky, the Demon Monarch was being forced into retreat by Di Tian, while the high-ranking demons under his command were likewise losing to the other ferocious beasts. The battle did not seem as hard-fought as one might expect.
"At the moment, things seem fine, but the Demon Monarch has summoned all demons across the continent to gather. They haven't all arrived yet," the Spirit of the Plane explained.
Gu Yuena glanced at the Three-Eyed Golden Lion, gently patting its head. "Train well, little one," she said softly.
Then, she stepped into the void, reappearing the next moment at the heart of the grand array—before Bai Xu, who still lay unconscious in the cave.
"His breathing has stabilized… His organs have revived, no longer as lifeless as before… But it seems… the five elements' energy is now leaking, spreading throughout his body?" Gu Yuena examined Bai Xu, analyzing the mystical changes within him.
"In that case…"
As she spoke, she summoned her four-word battle armor, using it as a foundation to manipulate the grand array's operation.
Recalling the method Bai Xu had once taught her, she murmured softly, "Five Elements Art—Realm of Yimu."
Hum—!
The technique instantly drained her four-word battle armor of its radiance, leaving even her own body weak and exhausted. She collapsed beside Bai Xu, her battle armor shattering in an instant. This… was the last thing she could do.
Yet the effect of this move was undeniable.
On the dark plains, the intense battle came to a sudden halt as the unexpected barrier descended. Waves of azure energy swept forth—for the demons, this life force represented the greatest temptation in the world.
But…
Opposing this vitality was an aura of death. The overwhelming Yimu energy radiated a terrifying devouring force, draining the demons of their life essence. Even the Demon Monarch, who tried to flee, found himself unable to escape.
Watching his kin march step by step toward annihilation, he could only curse. The demons had always taken pleasure in invading other worlds—now, perhaps, this was their karmic retribution.
Suddenly, the Demon Monarch froze, sensing something amiss. "You—! You're actually devouring our plane's origin energy!" he roared in fury.
His words gave Di Tian pause. Calming his mind, he carefully assessed the situation. Indeed, the plane's suppression had weakened somewhat. Were those Yimu roots digging deep, siphoning the planet's essence? Di Tian cast a glance at the vast forest of Yimu before turning away.
He understood. At a certain level of power, nothing in the Douluo Continent—aside from the plane itself—held any value in Bai Xu's eyes. Whether it was immortal herbs or divine artifacts, their effects on Bai Xu were now negligible. To gather enough resources to fuel Bai Xu's nirvana, they had only two choices: sacrifice part of the Douluo Continent and its inhabitants, or sacrifice the Demon Plane. The answer was obvious.
"Enough. You shall join them—become nourishment for the lord. You are worthy of such an honor!"
Di Tian unleashed his full power, like a black dragon bringing about the apocalypse. Instead of killing the Demon Monarch outright, he battered him into the azure forest, watching as he was swallowed whole.
The forest recognized the soul beasts and refrained from indiscriminate devouring. Di Tian gazed into the distance, where more demons were still arriving. He summoned the ferocious beasts and the beast tide, preparing to annihilate them all in one fell swoop. With the Demon Monarch dead, the rest were nothing more than trivial prey…
Inside the Cave.
Under Gu Yuena's astonished gaze, a five-colored flame suddenly ignited across Bai Xu's body, lifting him into the air.
His external injuries healed at a visible rate—cracks mended, his shattered abdomen reformed, and his meridians were reconstructed. A vast energy surged through his twelve primary meridians before, guided by Bai Xu's subconscious, charging toward the eight extraordinary meridians.
Among all living beings, who stands peerless?
In the clarity of all laws, no immortal exists in this world.
Bai Xu's eyes snapped open. Gu Yuena saw only five-colored light filling them, obscuring even his pupils. The endless energy transmitted by the Heaven and Earth Five Directions Five Elements Grand Array rushed from his dantian straight to his crown.
Yet this process seemed agonizing for Bai Xu. His newly restored body was once again torn apart by this overwhelming energy—especially his organs, which could no longer hold firm. They shattered completely, releasing the five elements' energy to permeate his entire body, nourishing every inch of his being…
