Chapter 101 - Chapter 101: Speedrun 12

Senzo sat down on the grass while staring at the thousands of ogre-like creatures; they were too big to be goblins, and "ogres" was the only name that came to mind when he looked at the monster army that was rapidly approaching.

"There's no need for Death or Famine to make a move," War snorted, while swinging his massive blood-red greatsword.

This was a perfect opportunity to let loose a little after what had just transpired. Suddenly, the spectral banner appeared in his other hand.

"Come to me!" he demanded, and a moment later all the hundreds of spectral warriors appeared right behind War.

"Make sure not a single one of those bastards can approach the master or the other two. Understood?" War muttered.

The spectral warriors bowed deeply, clearly feeling War's irritation and knowing his current mood; just doing that was much better than actually answering.

A moment later they all spread out in small groups and brandished their weapons.

War took a quick peek at all of them, and seeing that they clearly understood what he meant, he gave a satisfied nod.

Now it's time to let loose!

Without hesitation he charged at the monster army that was slowly approaching; according to his estimates, it would still take an hour or two for them to arrive. So it was much better to just charge in and slaughter them like that.

Senzo and the other two all took a seat, and there was a solemn atmosphere among them as they observed War carefully.

Death and Famine could clearly feel all the complicated emotions that were going on in War, but they couldn't really help him at the moment, so letting him go wild was a solid way to let him vent a little.

"Sadly those weaklings won't amount to much..." Death muttered.

Famine just nodded at Death's word. "It's probably best to let him do all the fighting for the rest of the dungeon."

Senzo quietly listened to the two horsemen who were discussing War's state, making sure to remember their words.

That's not a bad idea.

And while they were leisurely chatting, War was rampaging a couple hundred meters ahead.

"Hahahaha!" War's laughter echoed throughout the whole forest while he was tearing through one ogre after the other.

His originally red armor was now coated in green blood, the same as his red greatsword. But he didn't care; he just kept swinging his sword around like a maniac, cutting through monsters everywhere.

He didn't even care about getting hit; as the ogres threw their crude weapons at him, he didn't even think about dodging.

But each time he got hit, he got more ferocious; his movements became faster and deadlier. He had no idea how many of these monsters he had cut in pieces, and he didn't care; he was going to continue until not a single one of them was left intact.

A singular slash cut dozens of wolves in half, and the next moment he rushed at the boars that were trying to ignore him and charge at his master and brothers.

"Nope."

He said, with a massive smile on his face. Even though the ogres couldn't see his face through his blood-coated helmet, they all felt fear towards the red giant that was decimating their massive army.

All the way in the back of the massive army sat a single massive ogre, and instead of being green, this one was red in color and was about the same size as War.

It stared at the massive giant a couple hundred meters in front of it with a grin on its face; on both sides of the massive ogre were two warhammers.

That was the only proper weapon among the whole army; it had a crazed look in its eyes, wanting to challenge the bastard that was easily taking care of his subordinates.

"Raaaaah!"

It suddenly stood up and carefully grasped both warhammers, and with that single shout, all the ogres' eyes turned bloodshot, and they charged at War without any fear.

It was like they didn't care about living or dying anymore, as even the wolves and boars charged straight at War, trying to deal even a little more damage so the boss could more easily finish him off.

"Hmph!" War snorted, but he was secretly very pleased.

It looked like this battle would get more interesting because that noise just now must have come from a much stronger monster than these weaklings.

In a split second another massive greatsword appeared in his left hand, and while tightly grasping both, he spun around so fast it looked like a tornado of blood and body parts was razing through the battlefield.

War didn't even try to see where he was going as he kept spinning and spinning, cutting everything in his path into pieces. His originally red armor had turned fully green due to all the blood he had already spilled.

But he didn't care; on the contrary, he loved it. After all, his now green armor could be seen as a trophy of war.

"Hehe."

Just thinking about that made him smile like an idiot; if there was one thing he loved more than anything else, it was trophies of war.

"Alright, that should be enough," he whispered to himself.

The next moment he stopped spinning, and all the body parts and blood that were also spinning around him flew in all directions.

"..."

The massive red ogre that was in front of him had been colored green by his subordinates' blood.

War couldn't help but chuckle upon seeing the state of the leader of the monster army.

The red ogre, on the other hand, couldn't seem to keep his cool as he charged straight at War with bloodshot eyes. How dare this intruder disgrace him like that!

But after so much slaughter, War was already tired of bullying these weaklings, and with a simple slash of his sword, he cut the charging ogre straight in half.

"You're a couple eons too early to try and challenge me."

Near the staircase, Senzo had seen everything that had just happened, but he wasn't in the mood to care too much.

After he saw that the whole army had been wiped out, what they had to do now was find the exit or staircase to the next floor.

"I'll take the north once more; you three can decide by yourself which cardinal direction you want to explore. And this time do it as fast as you possibly can," he stated, and before Death or Famine could reply, Senzo flew away to the north.

"Understood, master."

Even though Senzo had already flown away, Death still respectfully answered him and went straight to the south.

"I guess I need to notify War, huh..." Famine mumbled, lazily standing up.
