The past few days have been rough for me. My company lost a lot of partners and investors. All because of what had ensued between me and Erica. I should have listened to dad and did interviews.
My kids were staying over at Aunt's place, away from all the commotion.
Shawn had been trying to have a conversation with me but I didn't let him. And it's been all over the news that Lorenzo was getting married to Victoria. Victoria had lied to me when she said they were married and had kids. But, now they were getting married and she was pregnant with his child.
I got off the bed. I haven't been to the company in days. I tried to stay away from the media. I thought being silent would help save my reputation but it didn't.
So I decided it was time to speak up for myself.
A knock on the door interrupted my reverie.
I turned around. "Who's there?"
"It's me," dad said. "Laura, I'm worried about you. Please open up the door."
