The ignorant vampire clearly didn't have eyes of his own as he ranted at the bear. He was clearly having a bad day, and he finally had someone to release his frustrations on.
He straightened his pristine red coat that was buttoned from the bottom to the top. The vampire's shoes were bright and shiny.
Who in their right mind wears bedazzled yellow shoes with heels? It was frustrating to hear the man click his heels as he stomped exaggeratedly.
"For all that is unholy… shut it, Magenta." Sofia rolled her eyes and folded her hands over her nearly flat chest.
She looked at the disgustedly bright vampire. Her eyes showed nothing but contempt and disgust. She once had a tryst of a romance with such a fool; unfortunately, she only realized later that he was into underage individuals. And she was turned into a vampire at the brink of death when she was 15 years old.
Over the years, many men were skeptical about dating her because she still very much looked like a preteen in the midst of puberty, and here this weirdo came salivating at her immaturity.
Which she absolutely abhorred in a person in general. Hence, her reaction to such a person. It's fortunate, thanks to her master, that she could have children. It's a perk that female sires get from their pure-blood female masters, but only if they are above elite status.
"You… when did you get back?" Magenta put on a gentle smile as he smoothed his long blonde hair. "I'm glad to see you again."
His disgusting eyes roamed over her body like a lecherous hunter evaluating his product. That gaze made her wish she had killed him instead of only injuring him when she had a chance.
"Don't even try it…" Sofia put up her hand to stop him. Ignoring him, she turned her smiling eyes back to the bear in front of her.
"My name is Sofia Vinciera. You don't seem to be from around here. Care to come to my room for a chat?" Sofia asked with a smile.
When Sofia really looked at the young bear's features in front of her, she was surprised to see a young man whose physical age wasn't much older than hers. He looked to be 17 or 18 with a very strong and intimidating build. He has one violet eye and one hazel eye. It was clear that he was a half-breed and of pure blood vampire descent. This is the first time she'd ever seen a half-vampire of any species other than human. She also realized just how intoxicated his smell was, a mixture of sage and a freshly rained forest. His eyes zinged her, sending an electric shock through her entire being.
"Sofia… that's awfully bold of you." Serena smiled in amusement.
"You'd be just as bold when you finally find your mate." Sofia's eyes were glued to the bear just as his eyes couldn't get enough of her.
The two stared at each other in awe, as if they were the only ones in the room. It was only then that Serena, with a half-amused expression, slowly turned serious. The young man before her looks uncannily like one of her elder brothers. One who went missing off the face of the earth nearly 500 years ago. The only reason she could tell was that her mother had multiple family portraits of her and her children. But none of the grandchildren, who, as the head of the family, Serene should really do something about that.
"Sofia… take him to my room now." Serena's tone was both low and urgent. An undeniable pressure exploded from her.
You… Sparkle… go do something with your evening." Serena's eyes narrowed dangerously. "I don't want to see your face for the rest of my stay here."
Magenta bowed nervously, his eyes lowered so that no one could see his expression. "Yes, Madame."
He slowly backed away a couple of paces, hiding behind others as he went. Then he waited for Serena to go up their stairs before hurrying on his phone.
"Hey, Vilo… the target escaped, but I know where he is," Magenta spoke in whispered tones. "Somehow, he made his way to Trinity Tavern and got involved with Sofia the Mayhem and Serene the Spiteful."
He spoke more as his eyes roamed around seriously. However, he didn't know he wasn't being watched on a witches' crystal but none other than Serene. Serene sat in a dark lavender room with a crimson furnisher. The decorated chair she sat in was soft and smooth like velvet.
In her hand was a small crystal that projected the image and conversation of Magenta. This crystal was connected to her powers; with it, she could spy on anyone as long as she had already had an open connection to the person. Her power was so intense that it was an easy feat to conquer.
"You are Serene the Spiteful," the young man asked in excitement.
That name was given to her at the age of 113 on the battlefield of Wanton.
"That is what they call me, but I am in no way spiteful." Serena nodded her head as she leaned comfortably in her chair.
Sofia merely smirked in amusement as she held back a chuckle. "Looks like we are in for some company."
"What is your name, boy? You look very much like a brother of mine." Serena asked seriously.
"Brother? My name is Zoltan Vinci, son of Silas Vinci and Zora Surovy." Zoltan's voice was filled with pride and sorrow.
" Looks like I finally have a nephew." Serena smiled. "And apparently a niece-in-law?" she asked with a cocked eyebrow.
Serena watches the sparkle in her sired offspring. She could tell just by that look that Sofia had met her match. And it was a beautiful sight to see. Although it was beautiful, it was also a dangerous time.
"Why have you come, Zoltan, specifically to this place?' Serena asked. The three were on the top-most hidden floor of the Trinity, away from prying eyes. The floor was enchanted by a very special half -breed witch that she met a dozen years before her impending slumber.
Now that she thought of her, it had been a century since she last heard of her.
Wonder what planet she is on now?
"My father told me whenever I am in trouble and can't handle it to come here and seek asylum from the Tavern master." Zoltan's brows scrunched up in distress.
"For some reason, I've been followed ever since I crossed over from the eastern hemisphere. It's like someone was trying to find something but didn't, and now that I came out of the place unscathed. They want to know why. As of right now, they are too strong for me to fight off; I can only hide."
Zoltan's voice was full of disgust as he said the word 'hide'. He felt himself cowardly for not being strong enough to handle the situation on his own. Asking for help from a total stranger was completely undignified.
"Eastern?? Is that where you live?" Serena asked
"Sort of. Deep in the eastern jungle is a hidden portal that opens 5 times a year. I just happened to be there when it did open. To reach the hidden portal from my planet... Let's just say there's a lot of danger involved. But on this planet, the entrance, or rather the exit, is in a shallow whirlpool that a waterfall dumps into."
"I hid and listened to the people following me. They spoke of a great treasure that could manipulate the chaotic energy around us and use it to control others. However, the only thing remarkable about the eastern jungle is the portal itself. Unless by going through the portal, they will not be able to get what they want to obtain."
Which I guess could be possible.
"That… sounds like a hunt I want to go on." Sofia giggled with a manic expression on her face. A thrill seeker at heart.
"You're right; they are seeking something unfathomable and extremely dangerous. How long ago was it that you crossed over, and do you know when it will open again?"
"Uh.. Father clocked it, on this end it would be March 20, July 14, Oct 31, Han 5, Jan 29. The next one will not come until October.
"Good." Serena nodded with a grin on her face. She gazed at the crystal that was still in her palm. "We have company, we can discuss this later."
Approximately 50 vampires emerge from the shadows, surrounding Tavern Trinity. At least 10 of them were remprants, blood thirsty abominations that ate their own kind. The customers in the public area became extremely quiet as they made their way to a safer zone. Tonight, there would be plenty of bloodshed. Serena knew full well her people would not be the ones spilling any of it.
