In a gutters located somewhere in East Borough.
The crimson glow casted by the crescent moon reveals a dilapidated building. Standing among the other unregulated urban.
It had planked and broken windows. Unsupervised walls and unkept floor that looks almost identical to the outside street.
In this rundown, six individuals were present in their own spots. Two sat at the stairs leading up, the three were scattered in the room, some are at the sofa while one stood at the center, holding a ritual.
This ritual costed them time to weave a wreathe followed by a three-candled stand, essential oils, flowers, fertile soil and a table.
The man at the center is Yesir. Still wearing the same black cloak he concealed himself during his transaction with the Temperance faction.
With the ritual site's completion. He turned to the other members and scanned their faces.
Mr. Pig's King, his true name is Piolo Kingo, is the chubby man who sat by the sofa, wearing a dignified gentleman's attire. Next to him is Greg Ford, a biologists who wears a lesser class clothing.
Catherine Rue stood a few meters away from Yesir. With her arms crossed, she was clad in a long, violet dress and her hair coiled within a net.
Kothe Warren wore a black-rimmed glasses right beside another member, Judius Brown who is a zoologist have occupied or posed by the stairs.
"Is this how many of our members left?" he said condescendingly. "Without my grandfather, you're all frail."
Catherine scoffed. "You're just as dependent as we are low priest. Focus on the ritual. We need to be certain that the Goddess did not forsaken us."
"The Goddess is alive? Yes! Praise Her!" Piolo zealously raised his hands.
Piolo Kingo was originally a follower of the Earth Mother. However, each of the rituals he conducted didn't get a response.
Only after meeting Kothe Warren did he found the reason and thus proselytized to the Child of God.
His prayers were fulfilled in an expense that he had to associate himself with the Aurora Order. Afterwards he became an Apothecary.
Yesir glanced at him and nodded, "The Goddess is alive and we ought to call 'Her' Mrs. White."
"Mrs. White? What a strange pronoun to be taken for a Goddess..." Judius was resting his back against the stair's railings.
"It is the most effective disguise!" praised Yesir. "No one would even bat an eye to how we refer our Goddess! Mrs. White could be mistaken for a mortal."
"Enough with the pleasantries." howled Kothe with a heavy tone.
He suddenly nodded. "Mrs. White knows our name and our identities. 'She' have disclosed my wife's whereabouts. I could only count on this."
Yesir secretly snorted and turned back to the table, containing a tall candle.
This candle was made of oxwood wax. It burns brighter and faster so it makes up with its height.
The circle below it was made to further strengthen the connection. For the bestowment, there's an already constructed wreathe altar on the corner.
Now that the setup is done. The remaining members threw all of the planks and barricades off from the windows. Allowing the crimson light to filter.
The course salt around the room was quickly tinged in red.
With the single candle stand lighted using spirituality and the barrier lifted. Yesir performed a brief prayer gesture.
Striking his chest, tapping his shoulder from right to left until finally placing his arm onto his abdomen.
He then drew a foul breath and lowered his voice.
"The White Maiden from a Distant Time...
"The reborn daughter of a mysterious dreamworld...
"Beginning and the End of the extending vines...
"I implore your grace to acknowledge the completion of the task you have given me...
"I have gathered your remaining followers in one place...
"I..."
...
In a world of vast horizon. Seemingly with no end.
Selina's figure was clad in a porcelain-white gown, overgrown with moon patterned laces.
She had been waiting here for awhile. Flipping the document.
"I see... my believers are quite brazen when it comes to matters resurrecting me. Yesir's grandfather, who was an ancient vampire could respond to prayers. I wonder what Sequence Falor is?" while she was preoccupied. Selina suddenly noticed a change in her surrounding.
Dusts and sparks of emerald light began to cluster toward a vine segment.
"Oh, it's from Yesir. Did he completed what I told him to do?" her hand threw the document to the ground and let it get devoured by the soil.
Without wasting any time. Selina reached her hand out and bridged her desire onto it.
And in that moment, the surrounding took a heavy turn.
Thin but clear mist blanketed the region where she's in. The light from the sun still seeps to sustain the soil.
She saw a person wearing a cloak with the hood down.
It was a man with dark-grayish hair and granite eyes, molded into a stern face.
Selina recognized him to be the young priest.
It's Yesir! she immediately willed the world around them to echo; "I am pleased that you have acted on what I have tasked of you... However..."
Yesir tensed up and heavily gulped down his saliva.
"These weren't all of my follower you have brought into one place. Others are at sea, contained in a sailboat heading to the Tree of Flesh and Blood."
Tree of Flesh and Blood? Yesir's expression turned grim with an array of shock and disbelief.
Just by seeing his face, Selina quickly knew that it meant danger.
However, judging by her situation now. She really doesn't have much to contribute.
If reporting that a group of innocents have been abducted somewhere in the sea and was heading for the Tree of Flesh and Blood could be that easy, then Selina would've done it by now.
Let's just pray... her voice almost leaked out by the weight of the situation.
"T-The Tree of Flesh and Blood is the flagship of the infamous Admiral of Blood... They're being transported there?" Yesir unknowingly spoke his thoughts out.
"No... No no no." He shook his head. "We cannot retrieve them! They're a lost cause!"
"But would you accept if it was you in their place? How would you oppose the situation?" The dreamworld spoke on Selina's behalf.
"I would pray..." he murmured. "Yes! I would pray!"
That's the spirit! Selina almost cheered. Let's pray to the Evernight...
"To the Goddess!"
Her thoughts cut off.
"Yes!" said Yesir with conviction and zealousness. "Oh Great and Benevolent Mrs. White. Pray that you release them to have addition to your believers."
That's sweet deary... Selina almost broke out of her character by having the urge to sigh. But even your Goddess is praying to a Goddess...
Thanking the blinding light that obscured her expression in her heart. She willed the world to say loftily, "You may return and conduct a ritual of bestowment."
Yesir strike his abdomen devoutly. "Yes your grace!"
His connection with Selina abruptly cut off and he was sent back into the material world.
...
While waiting for the door of bestowment to materialize. Selina, in the middle of the mural, naturally thought of what Yesir had said.
"Flagship..." she muttered under her breath. "The Tree of Flesh and Blood is actually a flagship?"
During this revelation. She had been picturing a literal tree covered with rotting flesh and river of blood. It was unsettling.
"I don't know if I should be thankful or not..." while musing, she suddenly noticed specks appearing all around her.
Tracing their path, she saw an outline of door made of emerald light.
"That was quick... are they expecting my bestowment?" Selina was intrigued. It quickly made her curious. "Let's see..."
As the door of emerald light opened. She saw six people all across the room. Some were unfamiliar while majority she tell their names.
"Piolo Kingo, Kothe Warren, Yesir Burming, and Catherine Rue, a sanguine..." Selina quietly recounted the members that had descriptions in their list.
Piolo Kingo, also known as Mr. Pig's King during each gatherings he attended. Catherine Rue, a vampire woman who have advanced long before proselytizing to her. Her reason is that she's also of the Aurmir linage, same with Yesir and his grandfather.
"Alright. Since there's six of them, I'll be bestowing each of them a seed." having said that. Selina lifted her hand.
After watching it melt into soil. She incubated a tree that skipped different phases until it left with only a seed. Then a second later, an issue arose. It was when she pictured how her members would carry it around.
"Having a seed in their pockets would be kind of... unusual." she blankly placed a finger over her chin.
"Wouldn't it be convenient if they were to forge it to an accessory? Hmm... but then it would have to malleable, and seeds have a hard shell."
While thinking. Selina suddenly balled her hand in an attempt to crush it.
The seed quickly bore a gaping whole when she opened her palm. However, despite the damage she's still able to sense and extend the long, thin stem as she pleased. This quickly excite her.
"...They have done a lot of terrible things..." a faint mischievous smile followed that excitement. "Let's leave the discovery for them. Using my Goddess name to personally tell their functions would be a risk."
With that said. After the creation of additional five seeds. Selina quickly produced the paper slip, containing the account details in her hand and threw them into the door of light using her vine limbs.
While having a storage system for her believers would benefit her. The constant sacrificing and bestowing herself while unconscious brings unknown and greater risk than enabling her to use their artifacts as the middleman.
Not to mention the possible side-effect that would otherwise be determined if she were a Seer. Forcing her to set aside the idea for a safer option.
Seeing the items enter the material world and her believers reacting to the side-effect caused by this invasion. Selina rehearsed her lines for her next voice.
...
Yesir felt an intense carnal desire swelling inside him.
He thought that if he didn't managed to react in time and enter cogitation. He would've attack and be killed by the only female of their circle, Catherine.
On the other hand. Catherine was unfazed, watching him contemplatively.
In contrast to her, the other members reacted similarly to Yesir. With Mr. Pig's King Piolo already staring at Catherine's pale complexion.
Just as he stood up. A dark bat smacked him by the face as it flew from behind, returning back to Catherine's shadow.
Catherine glanced at him with displease.
"Hehe." Piolo laughed dryly and briskly entered cogitation.
The rest was able to handle the sudden surge of desire. Only resulting in their teeth gritting.
When six strange seeds and a slip appeared by the altar. They all suddenly heard a distant and layered voice coming from the fire.
It was a melodic voice of a woman. Oddly familiar, "As my gratitude for the bestowment and sacrificial ritual. Here's a slip containing an anonymous bank account, with a balance of one million and five hundred thousand pounds."
When all of them heard the amount. Each and everyone felt a jolt tread through their veins.
O-One million!? Yesir was in total disbelief.
"Mrs. White had instructed the money to be used to construct a pharmacy. Each of the members here can have a share for different branches across either the South or North Continent. The company name can be decided amongst yourselves." The layered voice was cut off.
Following that. The wreathe altar that Catherine have deliberately weaved to beauty suddenly withered and collapsed.
The whole rundown room was filled with silence.
...
In the morning. Next day.
Considering her plan of abducting the familiar man from Halster Retrieval company. She have devised a way cleverly get him without being detected. And that is:
Using a Sleep Inducing Gas!
That is her reason for being in the underground market at such a period of the day. Being early means also being early to leave. One of her motto for workloads as a past secretary which was effective that she had indeed got home and left for work in less than an hour.
As usual in Blackthorn Company. She had attended Old Neil's mysticism lesson with Klein, checked for the supplies in both the armory and the alchemy room, with an exemption of allocating the time to procure medicine to instead knowing more of the history.
Thanks to her clearance, she was allowed to be informed of many potion formulas, including the Sequence 8: Beast Tamer.
At around 2:45. Selina deliberately excused herself from any different activities, to which Klein had also agreed.
Drawing her curtains off and closing the door. She waited with a hot cup of milk by the bed and a book.
It didn't came to her that time had quickly gone by. She was suddenly greeted by a blinding crimson light.
...
In a space above the gray fog. Three individuals materialized from the crimson stars that burgeoned.
Following their appearance was the blonde lady's courtesy that went in company with Selina.
Then, with an amiable and cheerful voice. Audrey said, "Good afternoon Mr. Fool."
