"No, survival skills. With the pair of eyes surrounding you tonight, we need those skills," he countered, smirking down at me.
I let out a brief chuckle, feeling a bit flustered all over.
Damon danced behind me, hands hovering near my waist but not touching.
Tristan stayed close in front of me, his eyes dark and unreadable.
The tension was unbearable.
"You're doing this on purpose," I accused.
"Doing what?" Tristan asked innocently.
"Crowding me."
Damon leaned in. "You like it, the way we are circled around you, don't you dare deny it."
I nearly choked. "Shut up."
Aven laughed. "Your heartbeat rate echoes your desire."
I hated how right they were, because right now I felt like the world revolved around me.
All eyes on us, the Alpha successors protecting their little princess, and for the first time in a while, I relaxed, letting them take care of me for the night.
