30 minutes later, a carriage could be seen coming to a stop on the side of a massive road. Right where it stopped, a large rectangular stone building was located a little off from the road.
Exiting the carriage, Annette, Hui Shi, and Lain, quickly glanced around them to make sure they were in the right location. Lain, driven by curiosity quickly asked, as he also looked at the large white colored building covered in moss, and algae in front of him that was about six stories high, and looked to have been built a very long time ago. "Is this the recruitment office? Why aren't there other buildings around us? I thought this place would be busier…"
"Yes. It is the hero recruitment office. It's the only building around due to the rules of the district. I am not very familiar with all the rules, so I wish brother Hui Shi could help us out here." Annette, replied calmly, as she also looked around in curiosity, as the fresh noon breeze blew by and refreshed her mind. Lain could tell from the gentle smile on her face that she truly enjoyed the serene, and peaceful nature of her surroundings.
After getting a fresh breath of air, Hui Shi replied as he also looked around at the trees, and grasses. "Ah yes. The rules of our Peaceful Shiler District are very simple. Other than the countless miscellaneous rules, Elder Trent Shiler passed down a few simple main rules that have been maintained till this day.
One, buildings within the district must be built at least 6 miles apart on all sides. Two, all constructions and activities within the district must not emit sounds that can wake up a sleeping child who's six miles away. And lastly, certain businesses, and sects that engage in dangerous activities, or manufacture and distribute dangerous substances cannot be built within the district without special permission from the government."
"I see. Thanks for the clarification." Lain said thankfully. "Thanks, brother Hui Shi." Annette also said, in gratitude.
'What a strange set of rules. No wonder I only see trees and grasses around me, and haven't heard a single loud noise since I arrived. I guess Elder Trent truly wants a peaceful district as the district's name suggests.' Lain thought to himself, before looking at the trees and grasses one more time, mesmerized by the uniqueness of them.
While they were admiring their surroundings, another carriage quickly pulled up behind Annette's carriage, by the side of the road.
Looking at the carriage that was over ten feet in height, three cars in length, black in color and covered on all sides in beautiful flowers of all sorts, the trio standing in front of the building were bewildered. They were expecting the carriage that would come after them to be that of Mon Dupa's but it wasn't.
