'Still, betting a precious item for a dumb spar. Does she know the circumstances we're in?' Shun was a bit confused, but eager what she has to offer next, surely she has something up in her sleeve that she's willing to bet a precious item.
'What is she planning?'
They were in a dangerous place, so every bit of resources were important, especially so with this potion of mana recovery. Using it on a spar would be a waste!
"Alright, fine, but I don't need these to win." The potions turned into white dust.
"You sure? You're mana is running low, you might regret it."
"Thanks for the concern, but you should worry yourself."
"Getting cocky, huh? Fine!"
She then dashed at a lightning speed, her figure blurred, but still conceivable by the eyes.
She arrived just next to Shun and pulled the trigger, aiming for his head. There was a brief pause when the bullet was about to go. He took advantage of that and moved his body to the side.
A bullet flew out, piercing the air, missing its target by a whole margin.
With her so close, he couldn't waste the opportunity to strike back. He grabbed her arm, and pulled her in, or that's what he thought when she quickly retract her hand and pulled the trigger.
'She's fast!' Shun's eyes widened slightly as he dodged the traveling bullets. With each dodge, he got closer.
Maintaining distance, Akira stepped away beautifully. It was now two meters away from Shun, and he was about to swung his leg at an insane speed.
However, she simply duck, feeling the kick just above her head as wind whistled. Following that, instead of retreating, she shot him at a short range.
Shun managed to dodge a few, but some hit his body.
Before the battle, Akira adjusted the gun so it was non lethal, yet painful. A blue spot is definitely forming just underneath his clothes.
Shun scrunched in pain, but endured as he threw a few punches to the head and chest, which she deflect proficiently with martial arts.
Each time she deflect an attack, she'd pulled the trigger.
Sensing the upcoming attacks, Shun prepared to avoid. The gun let out a glow and gathered energy from the surrounding mana. While it was gathering, Shun take a step from its barrel.
However, he was quite surprised when all of a sudden, Akira shifted the gun at just the right time as the gun finished gathering energy.
'Crap!' He exclaimed as blue light came in his way, hitting his face. Thankfully, he quickly used his aura to from a thin yet durable barrier. It wasn't strong enough to block the attack, but enough to block it and let it bounce somewhere else.
Shun quickly retreated and rethink his plans.
'That attack just now, I have to be careful. Despite being a marksman, she can keep up with me. Just what the heck is she? Aren't you supposed to be long range? Pick a role, will you!
'No, calm down. I must find a way to defeat her. Although she can keep up with me, it was only to deflect my attacks, but never using her fists to attack even if there's a chance.'
Although he was annoyed by her strength, he didn't let his emotions to blur his judgement.
'Wait, that just give me an idea!'
Shun changed his stance before rushing in her way.
As he was inching closer, she send bullets flying. Blue beam travelled in the air, illuminating the shallow cave. Shun moved at the last moment, avoiding the painful beam. His movement was beautifully done and held no error.
Within seconds, he reached her side. In her mind, Shun would probably attack just like last time. She just need be out from his attack range, but she also mustn't be too far.
With how agile he is, staying far and simply press the trigger wouldn't land her a win. The only way to beat him is either surprise attacks or tire him out, and challenging him on an endurance battle seemed out of reach as Shun wasn't an unfit person or someone that clumsy with micromanaging his mana and stamina.
He threw a punch to her gut, she dodged to the side. Now, normally, any martial artist would strike the opening he just made.
However, this was impossible for her as her weapon needs to charge for micro second before shooting.
The opening he made would be gone before her weapon could take advantage of it. Still, she didn't have to worry.
It is a gun, after all, not a punch. Even if she hit when he blocked, it will still do something! His mana reserves isn't much, and if she kept doing this, it wouldn't be long before her victory!
'That is probably what you're thinking, right?'
Shun covered his arm in aura, increasing his agility.
After dodging that, Akira noticed something off. Her instinct told her to retreat, but she couldn't pin point why.
At this moment too, she saw glimpses of the future. Shun defeated her with incredible play and she couldn't avoid a single attack.
She doubted it's going to happen, but deep down, she somehow know it was the future that will happen, the future of truth.
This made her pause, and he smiled, thinking she just made a mistake! Her action, create an opening.
Shun swoop in and about to hit her jaw with all his might when all of a sudden.
"I give up!"
He stopped his punch with enormous force. Wind blew as he stopped, fluttering her hair.
Behind her, the wall formed into web like cracks and sound no far from explosion.
His punch is poured with aura, after all. It ought to be powerful.
"Say what?"
"You win."
Shun then sneered. He retract his punch and then opened it, before swaying his hand to and fro.
"Alright, alright."
Akira materalized the pairs of dagger and stamina recovery potion.
Shun happily accepted them, 'Alright, and here I was worried about what to do without a weapon!'
The weapon curved towards the end. Its blade adorned with red hue reminiscing of blood. Its hilt was made by wood. Although he wondered if wood can handle cutting flesh and parrying attacks, he trusted the System.
Surely they don't give bad weapons despite its rarity being rare.

He swung it a few times and thought it was a good weapon. Though the weight seemed a bit lighter than he preferred, but he can adapt.
He suddenly remembers his grandma saying, 'It's not the weapon's fault, but you.'
Shun stored them into his inventory and asked, "What happened? I didn't think you'd make a mistake like that."
