Chapter 60 - Chapter 60 The Need

"Human beings at their core are weak creatures, Helena. Any other creature can survive if they are left in the wild without any supervision from parents or experienced members of their species. They are blessed with claws and instincts that will allow them to survive. A spider is not taught to weave a web; they know the way to do it the moment they are born.

But humans were not the same. They did not have claws that can cut through flesh, senses that can help them sleep while keeping one eye open, or instincts that can allow them to know how to live and survive on their own.

They gave it all up when they decided to become intelligent beings thousands of years ago. Their DNA abandoned the concept of genetically inheriting the path of growth and instead learned the ability to adapt to the surroundings they were born into.

This, in turn, gave a path of evolution for humans that was outside the control of genetics and was not dependent upon the strength of the physical human body itself.

That gave rise to science and technology for muggles, while it gave rise to magic for the wizards.

Innovation is something that the muggles strive for every single day. They accept the evolutionary path where the body abandoned its physical strength for intelligence and paved a path for themselves using their intelligence.

While at the same time, the wizards had stopped advancing so much that they can be considered animals who depend upon nothing but the achievements of their predecessors. Their only aim is to maintain the status quo as much as possible. They believe in that ideology so much that they created rules that restricted wizards from interacting with muggle machinery," Auden ruthlessly spoke about the current condition of the wizarding as well as the muggle world.

Suddenly, a clap echoed across the dungeon.

"Aptly put, if you ask me, my boy. We knew you wouldn't put the freedom of elves as the first agenda just because you wanted to soothe your mother," Salazar commented as he appeared from the wall.

"Do you really have that little faith in me?" Auden asked, curious about the answer.

"Haha, not at all, my boy. With your character, you would have saved those elves sooner or later. But at the same time, you have a maturity that befits someone older than eleven years old. Even though you are impulsive sometimes, the plans you make are well thought out," Salazar commented as he sat down on a seat created by Auden.

"So even though you made the entire wizarding world realize they are lacking by removing the house elves, how are you going to make them move toward innovation?" Salazar asked. "I won't deny that there is chaos right now, but how is it going to prevent them from taking human workers and then putting an end to it?"

Auden smiled as he explained the talk he had with Amelia a few days before he initiated the kidnapping.

"You want me to create a company that makes muggle technology accessible to be used in the wizarding world?" Amelia asked one more time after listening to his plan. "I know you are not an idiot. So you do have the knowledge of the current rules of the wizarding world. And you know what happened to Arthur Weasley when his illegally modified car was taken for a ride by his son and Harry Potter.

The only reason he did not lose his job was because the Boy Who Lived was in that car."

Auden calmly listened to Amelia and replied.

"Don't worry, soon an incident will happen in the wizarding world that will push it to have a need for new technologies. You might not understand it right now, but when you present the modified technologies at the opportune moment, you will only receive acceptance and approval in return for your efforts. And if you feel like you have no idea where to start, you can use these as a basic model," Auden said as he took out a few modified human technologies that worked while being in the presence of a wizard.

It was not that hard to create, and the only reason it had not been done till now was because of the rules that banned interaction between the muggle and wizarding worlds.

Amelia took the few modified products and found out that they had magical enchantments done to them as well. A vacuum cleaner that cleans on its own, a heater that adjusts to the temperature of the room, a fridge that can freeze the items at the perfect temperature individually, by which they can remain fresh for a long time.

"This is just a preliminary plan where you are going to learn what I have done to these items. After some time, you must spearhead the company that provides the service of converting any muggle item into a magical one."

Amelia looked at the items and then at Auden once more. She began to get curious about the upheaval that would push the xenophobic wizarding world to depend upon the technologies of humans.

At the present time—

Amelia was increasing the production of the newly created modified human technology. After the incident where the entire elf community had vanished, Amelia realized what Auden was insinuating days ago.

She then went to the muggle world to see the side that relied upon technology. She then realized why Auden thought his plans would lead to the wizarding world interacting with the muggle world more closely in the future.

Sweat was dripping from her forehead as she was able to glimpse the plans that the boy had put forward.

'How can an eleven-year-old child, just born a year ago, think about such things?' Amelia realized what was about to happen in the wizarding world.

Since she was a part of the Sacred Twenty-Eight and had a prominent position within the Ministry, the plans of this technology she put forward would be accepted by the community.

But later on, when her company starts the service of converting the muggle items provided by customers into magical ones, the true change will begin.
