In front of them was a pack of wolves with an Alpha pair leading their way. Only the Alpha pair were Elite grade monsters, the rest of the wolves were ordinary grade.
The ordinary grade wolves surrounded a huge three meters white bear. It was panting heavily, with a grave wound on its chest, bleeding heavily.
"I think this pack will be perfect for us to practice." Dave looked around and said, "But before that, we will introduce our ability. Remember, just don't lie and in case you don't want to reveal, simply stay quiet."
He gave a stern look towards Eric and gave an assuring nod at Nova. "No one will force you."
Although Nova was pleased with Dave's support, he was still bothered by Eric's actions.

'It is pretty vague, but I can follow his example too.'
After Dave, Eric also followed his lead and continued, "My core ability comes from shadow leopard and it allows me to travel between shadows."
'So he must have used this ability to appear behind. Does it have any limitations? Maybe the number of times that can be used or distance?' Nova wondered since Grade One monster cores only give limited strength.
While thinking, he didn't forget to remember the ability of everyone. Soon, everyone from the Watson Aristocracy completed their turn and now it was the Shark Team.
Rock, as a captain took the lead, "My core ability comes from Silver Bern and it allows me to increase my arm size."
After that, he urged Shane to continue, "My core ability comes from Fire Serpent and I can create small fire balls."
Then Head continued, "I got my core from Redmant and I can enhance myself."
As the Shark Team was revealing their abilities, Nova noticed an important point. The overall quality of Watson Aristocracy was way better than that of Shark Team.
'It is because of their secret potion formula? Or are they just genetically talented?'
But Nova denied that thought, the possibility of every single descendant being talented was just a fantasy. So, he was more inclined to believe in the first option, since he had also received some benefits.
Not everyone can jump three to four meters off the ground just after drinking the potion. It was characteristic that he inherited from Toxsona due to special potion making and his high compatibility with it.
Normally, a person would take at least a month to completely digest and those with less compatibility would take even longer. During that time, their strength would increase gradually over time.

"Now, get in the position and charge. We will strike first." Dave shouted while staying behind.
Those with tank and melee ability occupied the front and those with a similar ability to Nova occupied the center and long range attackers were at the rear.
Nova went behind Rock and positioned himself to attack anytime.
As they organised and moved forward, the wolf pack also noticed their presence and the Alpha pair took the lead and actively charged toward them.
'It seems they are very alert and smart too.'
"Captain, activate your ability, try to intercept one of them and I will back you up," Nove shouted.
"Don't worry, I will stun the one with the silver mane, don't be surprised and finish it in one blow." Head pointed towards the male Alpha and took his huge shield from his back. At the same time, he also activated his ability.
Veins bulged in both of his hands and his winter coat ripped apart them. His hands grew bigger and stronger, compressed themselves like a steel hammer.
When the male Alpha arrived near him, he bashed the heavy shield directly towards its head. Only the after image could be seen because of its speed.
With a loud impact, the male Alpha stumbled on the ground.
'What a power!' Although Nova was surprised, he didn't forget his role and reacted immediately. "Captain, move."
As soon as Rock gave him space to strike, Nova attacked with his whip. The attack created a smooth and deadly arc trail and struck its waist.
The collision between them sounded like thunder and everyone momentarily shifted their attention towards Nova.
Just like them, Nova was also surprised, 'I didn't feel any pain!'
Whenever Nova attacks beyond the sound limit, it puts a heavy strain on his shoulder and he cannot use it more than three times. If he went beyond that limit, breaking his shoulder would be the minimum result.
Although a special life potion could heal him, the trauma would take weeks to heal on its own.
In the meantime, Head finished off the male Alpha completely by bashing his shield on its head.
"Good job Nova, now I know why you can kill an Elite grade monster on your own. Even I'm a little scared by staying near, I wonder what the Wolf's thought would be." Head came near him and patted his shoulder.
They didn't participate in other battles and only stood aside to avoid interfering. They already have a huge advantage when it comes to numbers and adding more of them would make it more easier and counterproductive.
In the distance, the ordinary wolves surrounded a black figure teleporting between them like a phantom and slaughtering them like pigs. They couldn't even resist or run away and only wailed in helplessness.
None of their attacks made an impact, since the figure could dodge most of them and even the one that accurately hit wouldn't cause any damage.
The mother wolf who saw its children in peril, activated its ability.
With it as a center, a shockwave of cold aura spread through. The attack, further amplified by the environment, directly froze Ray and others near it.
Without attacking them, it backed away and moved towards its remaining children.
'What the hell are they even doing?' Nova cursed and tried to block it with his whip, but the female Alpha dodged it effortlessly and arrived near the shadow figure.
'Oh no, Eric is in danger.'
Suddenly, the female wolf halted and pressed towards the ground. Several ice chains emerged from the ground and tied its limbs.
Then, a huge sword with a sharp edge pierced through its neck from the ground, ending its life.
Nova breathed a sigh of relief. He didn't want any accidents to occur before the battle with the King, even if it was for Eric.
Ray and others who turned into ice cubes also broke free and Eric also finished every ordinary wolf and appeared behind Dave.
