After Levos finished "grinding the passives" of all the Saiyans, with the Old Kai's help, Goku and Gohan finally had their tails pulled back out.
"Levos, what do we do next?"
Goku curiously kneaded his own tail, fascinated by the new-old sensation.
"In your Super Saiyan state, you bathe in the light from an artificial moon, transform into a Golden Great Ape, then regain your sanity…"
"That's it?" Goku blinked.
"The steps are simple. That doesn't mean it'll be easy," Levos said seriously.
Piccolo folded his arms, frowning.
"We all get that a transformation like this isn't going to come cheap. What I want to know is: how do you know this much about Saiyan forms, Levos?"
Levos sighed.
"Because among the people whose bodies Zamasu hijacked, there was a Saiyan who used that form."
Piccolo's brow creased as something clicked.
"No wonder a few of those guys gave me this strange feeling of familiarity. So you'd already noticed, hadn't you?"
"Nope. Chronoa told me," Levos answered without the slightest hesitation.
"I see. As expected of the Supreme Kai of Time, her knowledge really is bottomless."
Everyone looked suddenly enlightened.
"Right, that form is called Super Saiyan 4."
"Super Saiyan 4?!" Goku's eyes lit up. "So there really is a form beyond Super Saiyan 3!"
"Never thought the prerequisite for Super Saiyan 4 would be having a tail…" Trunks sounded a little deflated.
Everyone rushed to comfort him.
"It's fine, Trunks. Don't forget we've also got that transformation called Super Saiyan God."
"Once we gather six Saiyans again, we'll make sure you're the first one to achieve it…"
Just mentioning Super Saiyan God was enough to spike everyone's curiosity.
They immediately crowded around, peppering Levos with questions.
"So… Levos, which is stronger: Super Saiyan 4 or Super Saiyan God?"
"How would I possibly know that?" Levos rubbed his temples, then added, "But I do know there's a Super Saiyan form that surpasses Super Saiyan God."
"Hiss…" Everyone sucked in a cold breath. "That name is a mouthful…"
"Going by Zamasu's naming convention, Super Saiyan God can be shortened to 'Super Saiyan Red,' and the form beyond that is 'Super Saiyan Blue.'"
"Super Saiyan Red, Super Saiyan Blue… Yeah, that's way easier to remember!"
"So Super Saiyan Blue is a form even stronger than Super Saiyan Red?" Piccolo asked.
"That's right," Levos nodded.
"Super Saiyan 4, Super Saiyan Red, Super Saiyan Blue… I really want to know which of them is the strongest!" Goku's face was practically glowing with anticipation.
"In any case, no matter which one wins out, mastering Super Saiyan 4 will boost you and Gohan to a whole new level."
At that, Goku and Gohan couldn't stop their smiles from spilling out.
"Hold on, what about you, Levos?" Piccolo suddenly asked. "You said you can turn Super Saiyan too. Have you unlocked Super Saiyan 4?"
"Not yet. I haven't even reached Super Saiyan 2."
Everyone turned to stare.
"With your talent, it shouldn't be that hard to hit Super Saiyan 2, right?"
"Hard to say…" Levos sighed. "It might be a bloodline issue. My transformation is different from yours, and I haven't figured out how to push it further yet."
The Earth warriors all felt a faint sense of regret.
"Honestly, Levos doesn't even need the Super Saiyan line," Supreme Kai Shin said with a smile.
"Just Cell Max's base power alone is two thousand times your main body's. No Super Saiyan multiplier could ever bridge that gap."
Piccolo nodded, clearly agreeing.
Levos himself had done the math in his head.
Even if his humanoid Great Ape form stacked with Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 1 only gave him a five-hundred-fold increase, Super Saiyan 2 would raise that to a thousand, and Super Saiyan 3 to four thousand.
Cell Max, even in base, could still layer Kaio-ken on top, or transform into his mechanized form or God Form, and even develop higher-level transformations beyond that.
Without a clear evolution pathway, trying to surpass Cell Max's realm of power using the Saiyan route alone would be very difficult.
"I wonder if the humanoid Great Ape can stack with Super Saiyan 4 or Super Saiyan God…"
After all, in the Dragon Ball world, those two forms had already stepped into another tier entirely. Their power boosts were absurd.
"For now, let's just focus on letting Goku and Gohan attempt Super Saiyan 4."
Everyone moved to a wide-open wilderness.
In Levos's palm, a glowing energy orb infused with a special ki slowly rose into the sky.
"Goku, Gohan, transform into Super Saiyan and push your ki to the limit…"
Two golden auras shot straight into the sky. The ground cracked open, hurricane winds howled.
Shattered rocks and debris were thrown high into the air by the warped magnetic field as dust and smoke filled the surroundings.
"Good. Now, just keep your eyes on that artificial moon until you transform into Great Apes."
Levos gave instructions while carefully watching their bodies for changes.
Thump, thump…
Their heartbeats suddenly grew louder, each pulse like a drumbeat.
In mere moments, Goku and Gohan's bodies began to change.
Their eyes turned crimson, their faces elongated, their bodies swelled as golden fur covered them from head to toe.
A Super Saiyan Great Ape also known as a Golden Great Ape.
Just like a normal Great Ape, this transformation massively amplified their power and size.
But with that came the loss of rationality rage and destruction drowning out all sense, until they could no longer distinguish friend from foe.
"Raaaargh !!"
Two gigantic golden apes beat their chests and roared, smashing everything in sight. The entire wasteland trembled.
"This is bad! After having their passives maxed, their base power was already huge. Now that their strength is rampaging like this, they might actually destroy the Earth!"
Everyone's gaze snapped to Levos.
"Puar! Tie them up!"
"Yes, Master Levos!"
Puar immediately transformed into a long iron chain and shot toward father and son.
In just a few moments, the two golden apes were bound tightly together, thrashing and roaring, but no matter how hard they struggled, they couldn't break free.
For a moment, everyone just stared at Puar in disbelief.
"How is this possible? I thought transformation magic doesn't increase power!"
"Goku and Gohan are monsters already. Are you telling me Puar actually surpassed them?!"
Levos calmly explained,
"Puar's body isn't the same one she had when she swapped with Dark Broly…"
"…Long story short, her current body is incredibly tough, and she can do far more than any of you imagined."
"That's amazing, Puar!"
Once they understood the backstory, everyone couldn't help but praise her.
Puar was all smiles.
"As long as I can help everyone, I'm happy too~"
Levos turned back to Piccolo.
"Next, all we need is for Goku and Gohan to regain their rationality and control this wild power. That should complete the Super Saiyan 4 transformation."
"But how do we snap them out of it?" Piccolo asked.
"We could try beating it out of them first," Levos suggested, blinking. "Piccolo, I'll leave Gohan to you."
Piccolo's brow furrowed.
"Levos, what exactly are you planning?"
Levos sent his voice into Piccolo's mind.
"So what you're saying is: only when I'm pushed to the brink of death, when I'm about to be killed, will Gohan be forced to wake up?" Piccolo's face darkened.
"That's right. It might even push him into a further breakthrough. After all, Gohan's potential is the greatest among all of us…"
Piccolo let out a cold snort.
"Speaking of the one with the greatest potential, isn't that you? How about I find someone to 'stimulate' you the same way?"
Levos was speechless.
"Piccolo, you've changed. You're actually making jokes now."
"Hmph. Just tell me how do you want me to cooperate in this little act of yours?" Piccolo raised a brow.
