It was a quiet morning… a gentle breeze passed lightly through the open windows, and sunlight slipped into the warm room.
Yui slowly opened her eyes, then rose from the bed and tied her hair up, whispering:
"A new day… let's be serious this time."
She took her short sword and quietly left the room while Rin was still asleep, and Rio was talking in his sleep about "stealing pastries from a sleeping dragon."
Adventurers' Guild
Yui entered the crowded place, her gaze calm as usual. She headed toward the quest board and began reading quietly, until two large men approached her—one carrying an axe and the other wearing worn-out armor.
First man:
"Oh, a girl? Did you lose your way to the kitchen?"
Second man (mocking):
"Or maybe she came to wash our weapons? Hahaha!"
Yui did not respond. She only looked at them with a cold gaze, like ice. The two fell silent for a second.
Yui (in a calm voice):
"Outside the guild. Now."
First man:
"Hah? Are… are you challenging us?"
Yui:
"You won't keep mocking after you lose your teeth."
Outside the guild – in a back alley
The air was heavy, and the sound of the wind whispered as if the world was holding its breath.
The two men stood before Yui, but they were not honorable…
The moment the fight began, one of them pulled out a poisoned dagger, and the other surprised her from behind.
Yui was the first to initiate the attack with a swift, lethal movement.
The first man dodged and aimed a strike at Yui's back, but she avoided it with supernatural speed, as if she had teleported instantly.
The man stabbed her with the poisoned dagger, but before the poison could slither like a snake through her body, she froze it and pulled it out.
Yui was not an easy opponent as they had expected. She was very difficult.
Yui looked at them with excitement:
"Are you enjoying this? As for me, I feel like my heart is about to explode from excitement. Come on!! Let's dance until death."
The two men smiled wickedly.
They betrayed her—attacking from a blind spot without her noticing…
A stab… then a strike… then—
Yui (eyes widened):
"…My arm?"
The pain was intense. A spray of blood scattered in the air… her left arm fell to the ground.
First man (coldly):
"Foolish girl. This is the punishment for arrogance."
They left the place laughing, while Yui leaned against the wall, bleeding silently.
An hour later – at the inn
Rio opened the door and found Yui covered in blood, her face pale white.
Rio (in a horrified whisper):
"What… who did this…?"
Yui (with a faint smile):
"I'm sorry… I wasn't careful enough."
Rio (his voice trembling):
"…Who. Did. This?"
A voice rang inside his mind—one only he could hear.
Rio (in anger):
"…Playtime is over."
Rio moved with unnatural speed, searching for the scum like someone following a trail of blood. His heart burned, his pulse struck the ground.
Suddenly, he saw them bragging in front of a small tavern.
First man:
"She screamed so much like a child!"
But in the next moment… the atmosphere changed.
The air froze. The light vanished.
Rio (in a calm voice):
"Domain… Eternity."
Inside the Domain
Everything changed. The sky turned the color of dark ash, the ground became solid like steel, and all sounds disappeared.
The two men (in terror):
"What is this place?!"
Rio (standing before them, his eyes glowing):
"Welcome to your end."
Inside this Domain… his power and speed were multiplied 100 times, and his enemies' strength and speed were reduced 100 times.
He struck the ground, and pillars of serrated iron erupted from it.
Then he raised his hand, and winds mixed with flames swept over them.
They screamed and ran… but the ground split open, and snakes of ice emerged from it.
Then the air itself cracked… and thorns of nature began piercing their bodies.
Finally, from behind Rio emerged a spiritual vehicle resembling a fast chariot. It rammed into one of them with the force of lightning, sending him flying.
Rio (coldly):
"You could have walked away… but you chose to touch someone who is my family!"
At the edge of the Domain
The two men stumbled out of the Domain, their bodies burned, frozen, and filled with wounds, barely able to stand.
Rio was waiting for them.
He stood calmly, one hand behind his back, a black aura coiling around him like a venomous snake. His eye was like a bottomless pit.
Rin (in a cold voice):
"Your souls will be left to bleed… but your bodies?"
He raised his hand…
His footsteps echoed quietly,
then he said without expression:
"This is the punishment for touching my family."
The air around them froze… and darkness began to form behind him in the shape of a faceless creature.
In that moment, everyone who witnessed what happened to them wished they would die rather than see that thing.
In the end…
In the inn room, Yui was asleep on her bed, her arm wrapped in magical bandages.
Rin approached her and whispered:
"You've become part of us now… no one hurts our family and stays alive."
Then he quietly left the room, leaving behind shadows of terror in the hearts of those who witnessed what happened.
