Chapter 114 - Chapter 114 - Chaos in Greece (VI)

When Hades landed on the ground, he saw Poseidon waiting for him; both stood before the Flatiron Building in New York. "How was the conversation with the Father of Monsters?" Poseidon asked in a calm tone while looking at the skyscraper.

"He accepted, and although we have to sacrifice a part of the territory, it's better than losing one than three." Hades replied in an equally calm tone, his black eyes also staring at the building before him with a solemn expression.

Poseidon did not oppose Hades' plan; the two of them alone could not handle two Divine Kings and a Quasi-God King, who now had the strength of a God King. It was simply impossible to fight; it was a battle destined to be a disastrous defeat.

"Let's meet our grandfather." Poseidon said with a slightly curious tone about Uranus; he hadn't even been born when Uranus was dethroned by Cronus. So, he was quite curious about this mythological grandfather, known as the Greatest Tyrant of Greece.

Hades did not seem as curious as Poseidon; Uranus's title explained very well the grandfather's explosive, tyrannical, and cruel temper. So, unlike the conversation he had with Typhon, he expected a fight to break out at any moment.

Both Olympian gods climbed the building by the stairs; they did not dare to simply fly to the top. Flying before the Personification of the Sky was a foolish act that Hades and Poseidon would not commit, not at this moment when the war had not officially begun.

After ten seconds, both gods reached the top floor. As soon as they arrived, they felt they passed through a thin film of water and saw a gigantic Greek palace with enormous marble columns. The entire palace floated in the air; waterfalls of golden water fell into the infinite void below.

Hades took a step forward, and Poseidon appeared behind him; both were in their armor and held their weapons in hand, ready to start a fight at any moment.

In the throne room, Hades' expression became extremely solemn; he saw ten gigantic beings forming a corridor up to the steps, which led to a white and gold ivory throne.

He recognized the ten gigantic beings; they were the children of Uranus and Gaia!

Six men: Oceanus, Coeus, Crius, Hyperion, Iapetus, and Cronus, and four women: Theia, Themis, Mnemosyne, Phoebe, and Tethys. Themis was dead, and Rhea was not present, obviously still siding with her youngest son in this war.

Ten Quasi-Kings!

Hades' face was indifferent, but he felt that Olympus was nothing more than a children's game supported only by him, Poseidon, and Zeus. Excluding them, Olympus was not even worthy of being considered a truly powerful fighting force.

However, looking at the two short beings by the throne was what made Hades feel numb: two primordial gods!

Pontus, he is the personification of the sea itself and has existed since the dawn of creation.

Ourae, Personification of the Mountains, although he was also the god and goddess of ten famous mountains in the Greek world, such as Mount Olympus.

Hades was perplexed; as far as he knew, primordial gods had been dormant for ages. How had two awakened so suddenly?

Seeing ten Quasi-Kings and two primordial gods, Hades remained silent for a moment. He had to admit, they were screwed, and not in a good way. The Court of the Sky was simply too powerful, so powerful that the Lord of the Underworld admired the monster that his father, Cronus, was.

Then, Hades' gaze fell upon the giant on the throne, tall and muscular, with long, dark hair and skin changing color, sometimes blue with cloudy patterns and sometimes dark with shining stars. He had a thick beard around his face and a pair of blue eyes as if he were the blue sky itself.

He was almost naked, wearing only a loincloth, covering his phallus. He bit into a golden apple and looked at Hades and Poseidon with a curious but arrogant gaze. The juice of the fruit ran down his mouth and onto his body, but he didn't seem to care at all.

Hades' first impression of Uranus was that he was a man who got angry easily, especially seeing the arrogant and extremely presumptuous look.

"Grandfather—" Taking the lead, Hades greeted Uranus in a calm tone, but before he could say anything, Uranus interrupted and spoke:

"Kneel."

Hades widened his eyes, as if he had heard something wrong. "Kneel?" He pointed to himself as if he was still incredulous at Uranus's order; even being so indifferent and cold, a deep anger bubbled in the chest of the Lord of the Underworld.

"Are you deaf or something? Do I have to repeat myself?" Uranus asked with an unsatisfactory and quite unpleasant expression.

Uranus was an egocentric, pompous, and cruel being. He also had a fierce temper, and due to his unparalleled power, none of the other Protogenoi dared to challenge him. Despite harboring feelings for Gaia, neither Pontus nor Tartarus acted on those feelings due to Uranus's marriage to her.

Hades finally understood where Cronus's infamous cruelty and bad temper came from, but compared to the being before him, Cronus was just a spoiled brat; the one standing before him practically personified the word tyrant in every sense of the word.

Despite all this, Hades looked directly into Uranus's blue eyes and spoke in a cold and indifferent tone: "I am not your subordinate, nor am I from your court, and even if I were, you have no right to order me to kneel."

Pontus looked at Hades with a touch of admiration in his gaze. Hades had not just refused some random god; he had just refused Uranus, the Primordial Sky, the Lord of the Gods, and the Most Powerful, second only to Chaos. Even so, Hades did not kneel; this alone earned his admiration.

Uranus narrowed his eyes; he looked at his grandson for the first time and showed a toothy smile. His robust and muscular physique straightened on the throne; his casual gaze disappeared. "It seems Cronus didn't teach you to respect your old grandfather, brat."

"It's as they say, like father, like son." Hades replied with the same intonation as Uranus.

Poseidon looked at Hades with a touch of helplessness; if he had known Hades would be so irritated, he would have spoken first.

"What a naughty grandson; it seems I have to teach you a very important lesson for you to become a real man." Uranus appeared in front of Hades and spoke in a calm tone; he was enormous, over four meters tall, so he looked at Hades like an adult looking at a child.

"I'll break your teeth, old man." Hades said in a cold tone. Poseidon took a step forward and stood beside Hades, ready to start a fight.

"If your father had that much courage, he would have been a real man. Unfortunately, he is a coward and a traitor. I had such high hopes for him." Uranus looked at Hades and Poseidon with a touch of interest and commented in an arrogant tone. "But this is what happens when the son is taught by the mother; he becomes weak and sentimental."

Hearing Uranus's words, Hades wanted to laugh; his grandfather was like an extremely old-fashioned war veteran who thought being strong meant being a real man.

"Now I know why my grandmother despises you to the point of manipulating her son to dethrone you." Hades said in a calm tone. "You are an arrogant jerk just like Zeus; perhaps it's fate; whether it's Cronus or Zeus, both are just like you."

Uranus narrowed his eyes and said in a cold tone. "Boy, don't mistake my leniency for weakness; I don't like being compared to other gods."

"Between heaven and earth, only I am honored; there is only one king worthy of sitting on the Throne of Greece, and that is me and no one else."

Hades was not surprised to see that Uranus was so arrogant; he was the personification of the sky itself, above everything and everyone, of course he would be arrogant.

"I came to invite you to an alliance to fight against Cronus." Hades ignored Uranus's arrogant words and spoke in a calm tone.

"Alliance?" Uranus seemed to have heard something very funny because he was smiling. "You and your boy king are not worthy of allying with me."

"Go back and tell my spoiled grandson that if he doesn't bend the knee before me, he can go buy his coffin, because he won't return to Olympus alive."

Uranus seemed impatient as he returned to the throne and showed a casual expression again, as if talking to Hades was something unworthy of someone so powerful.

Hades looked coldly at Uranus and turned away; Poseidon followed his older brother with a solemn expression.

"Brother, this is going to turn into chaos." Poseidon said with a bitter laugh. If it were just one rebel, they could fight, but there were three, and although one agreed to ally, the other two were terribly strong, especially Uranus, who was so powerful that it was despairing.

"With Pontus and Oceanus by Uranus's side, reinforce the borders at sea, because they will try to conquer the sea as quickly as possible." Hades spoke in a cold tone and began to give orders, which Poseidon accepted. "Call all the soldiers we have; we will regroup and fight on two different fronts."

"We have to delay the time as much as possible so that Zeus has a chance to fight Odin."
