Chapter 87: A Training Plan
When he arrived at the classroom, he saw the entire class in full chaos while Professor Aizawa still hadn't shown up. Papers were flying, Kaminari was trying to show off some stupid trick with his electricity, Mina was laughing so hard she was nearly falling out of her chair, and Bakugou was yelling at someone for bumping into his desk. Aoi stood in the doorway for a moment, shaking his head slowly as a tired but amused smile tugged at his lips. He thought to himself:
—It's kind of unreal that I'm here after all the things I've been through these past few days. That would be enough to drive even the best heroes completely insane.
Momo, who was sitting near the front organizing her notes, noticed Aoi standing there lost in thought. She tilted her head slightly and called out softly:
—What happened, Aoi? You're unusually quiet today. Was your weekend not good?
Shoto, sitting a few rows back, overheard Momo's question. The corner of his mouth twitched involuntarily as he thought:
—If it was bad... After everything my brother went through, just from yesterday to today, the fact that he didn't turn into a villain after so many shocking discoveries is already admirable.
Aoi snapped out of his thoughts, hearing Momo's gentle concern. He smiled softly, shook his head, and walked toward his desk while answering:
—It's nothing. I was just excited preparing the house to call you guys for joint training at my place.
He sat down in his chair, and almost immediately Mina spun around in her seat, eyes sparkling with excitement.
—And how is it going to be? Is everything already programmed for us to go?
Aoi looked at their eager faces—Kirishima pumping his fists, Kaminari grinning like an idiot, even Todoroki looking quietly interested—and smiled wider.
—Yes, I already prepared everything. After school you can pack your things and meet at the school gate. I'll send a car to pick you up. I'll just send the time you should arrive so you don't have to wait too long for the car arriving too early.
Kaminari jumped up from his seat, arms in the air.
—This is going to be awesome! A pajama party together with a training camp for the sports festival!
Izuku, ever the responsible one, immediately raised a hand.
—Kaminari, we have to train. We can't just focus on fun.
Bakugou, from the back, exploded:
—I'm going to get stronger, don't get in the way, got it?!
Aoi glanced at Bakugou and thought:
—Him meeting Rumi... Damn, that's going to be trouble. My going to have to hold her back so she doesn't kick him. After all, two beings with such explosive personalities don't work in the same environment. Especially now that she's pregnant, she must have even less patience. Still, do what I called now... I can handle it. And despite him being an idiot now, he's going to become a respectable hero in the future. He just needs to get beaten by the world. I don't mind helping with a few beatings.
Lida stood up, chopping the air with his hand.
—Everyone, calm down. We have to plan everything properly. We should all inform our families where we're going so they don't get worried.
Tsuyu nodded calmly.
—Leave it to me, Lida. I'll tell my parents.
Kirishima flexed both arms dramatically.
—But now a special training! I'm so excited it's manly!
Aoi, watching the energy explode around him, smiled and shook his head.
—Well, there will be several pieces of equipment that I designed for my training before I became useless.
Izuku leaned forward curiously.
—What do you mean useless?
Aoi shrugged casually.
—Well, now I'm at the limit and I can only get stronger by fighting beings like the Nomu from the USJ. He helped me get stronger after that fight. After all, you know how my training is: I need to get hurt to get stronger. And the current equipment can't handle that anymore. That reminds me, Kirishima, you can't copy my training, but you can copy the defense part: using strong impacts to destroy your quirk and then use it again. Destroying again would greatly increase its strength. And with me by your side, you don't need to be afraid of getting hurt. Especially you, Izuku. You should take advantage of this opportunity that I'll be by your side healing you so you can get used to using at least 3% of your power without breaking.
Izuku's eyes lit up.
—Thank you! I'm going to take advantage of this opportunity to work really hard.
At that moment, the classroom door slid open. Aizawa walked in, wrapped in his sleeping bag as usual, looking as exhausted as ever. He glanced around at the chaos, sighed deeply, and said:
—Well, let's start the class. In your seats.
After class ended, the students were gathering their things to leave. Aoi stood up and addressed the group:
—Well, everyone, see you here in three hours when the car leaves to pick you up at the school gate. I'll let you know by phone.
Uraraka nodded enthusiastically.
—Yes, thank you. So I have to go, after all we're going to be training there for a good while.
Aoi smiled.
—Yes, since you're going to train and maybe there will be two times when you won't even be able to move afterward, it's better to bring extra clothes in case you need to sleep at my house.
Lida adjusted his glasses.
—Understood. Thank you for the attention.
Bakugou snorted.
—Alright, man. Stop being annoying like my mom.
Izuku smiled gratefully.
—Thank you, Aoi. I'll remember that.
They then left the school toward their homes.
Aoi watched them go, smiling softly and shaking his head.
—These idiots really have no way.
He then became serious and looked back over his shoulder.
—Now, Shoto, can you tell me why you're following me with that funeral face?
Shoto looked at his brother with a complicated expression and said:
—Brother, I have something very serious to ask you.
Aoi looked at him for a few seconds, sighed, and said:
—Well, let's go to the café nearby. It's a place with little movement. We can talk in peace.
He then took the motorcycle and went with Shoto.
When they arrived, Aoi looked at the tea house where Gentle Criminal met Izuku in the original and said with a smile:
—What a cozy place. I liked it.
He then entered with Shoto, saw that the place was empty. He then ordered tea with chocolate cookies. He then looked at Shoto drinking water and said:
—So, what do you have to tell me?
Shoto took a deep breath and said:
—You know, after everything you said and the revelations that night, my head finally managed to process everything that happened. I was on autopilot after that.
Aoi drank his tea, ate his cookies, looked at him and said:
—So why did you call me?
Shoto remained silent and said:
—How come you didn't break? The whole world is against you. The fate of your children is on your shoulders. How come you didn't feel hatred or think about turning evil and using your strength? I know you have the strength for it. You have that technique that multiplies your base power, right? Why don't you just keep trying to use and use your strength to solve everything instead of having so much work in your plan?
Aoi smiled and said:
—You know, Shoto, the main reason I didn't break is because I don't care and never cared about the world's opinion. Unlike you and our classmates, I never cared about what the world thinks of me. I never even thought that it thought anything about me. And about the fact of continuing to do good, it's simple.
Aoi smiled and said:
—Because I want my three heroine girlfriends to be proud of me. And besides the fact that I like to save innocents like children and animals, they are one of the main reasons I don't do anything unless I'm forced into a dead end. First, I don't want to hurt them.
Shoto looked at his brother in shock, not knowing what to say.
Aoi said smiling:
—Besides, being evil brings no logical benefit. Money, power, fame... I have all of that following the plan I planned. Being a villain would only give me headaches and no visible benefit.
Shoto said with a bitter smile:
—So you already thought about all the options. It seems I was worrying for nothing.
Aoi then flicked him on the forehead and said smiling:
—Worrying about who you love is not senseless behavior. I'm happy that you care so much about me that you kept thinking so much. And that's why I don't care about what others say. After all, I already have a family that loves me. Three beautiful wives... Why do I need the world's approval if I have yours?
He then finished his snack. He then looked at Shoto and said:
—Let's go. I still have to prepare the house to receive those noisy classmates of mine.
Shoto smiled and said:
—Yes, let's go.
