Chapter 271 - Chapter 271: Pidgeot vs. Gardevoir

Too busy, too busy.

That was the first thought that flashed through Gardevoir's mind after Lin Feng finished explaining everything.

"Haha, how about I release Mewtwo instead?"

Lin Feng noticed her reaction and gave a sheepish laugh.

"Gardevoir…" she said softly. (I just got back and barely started eating.)

Gardevoir rolled her eyes, loosened her apron, and put it away.

"Gardevoir," Lin Feng said. (I'll do it.)

He chuckled when she agreed.

With a delighted smile, he took Gardevoir's hand and stepped out of the nursery.

At that precise moment, in the challenge arena,

the crowd anxiously waiting began to speculate which Pokémon Lin Feng would use to handle the final challenge.

Those who could wait here for a long time or participate in the challenge were mostly familiar faces.

From online Youth Cup videos or daily observation in town, most of them knew that some of Lin Feng's Pokémon were extremely powerful.

"Lin Feng is incredible. I wonder what kind of breeder he is. He looks so young, yet he's trained so many strong Pokémon."

"If he starts traveling, I bet Lin Feng could reach the top three in the Zongheng Tournament in just a year. Within three years, he could be champion."

"Which Pokémon do you think he'll use for the challenge?"

The discussion was lively and filled with excitement.

Soon, someone spotted Lin Feng stepping out of the nursery.

A pale blue figure was at his side.

"It's Gardevoir! A Shiny Gardevoir!" someone exclaimed.

"Oh my goodness, Lin Feng actually has a Shiny Gardevoir!"

These were the new challengers.

"I heard Lin Feng caught a Shiny Gardevoir to help him out, but it rarely comes to the nursery. They say it's incredibly strong, but I wasn't sure if that was true."

These were old customers.

"Waaah… I want a Shiny Gardevoir too…"

Lin Feng, just arriving at the arena, hadn't expected that releasing Gardevoir would elicit such astonishment from the crowd.

He glanced at Gardevoir, but her face showed no surprise, as if she were used to this.

After years of wandering alone, she had encountered countless human trainers eager to capture her.

Some of them had seemed extremely strong.

Yet, until now, none had succeeded.

She had believed she would never be tied to a human trainer again.

Unexpectedly… she had found a good job.

Seeing Lin Feng glance back at her, Gardevoir returned a gentle smile, and Lin Feng smiled in response.

As soon as he reached the challenge area, someone asked, "Lin Feng! Are you going to use Gardevoir for the challenge?"

"The final challenge is to dodge Pidgeot's attacks for a few minutes, right?"

Lin Feng nodded and answered clearly, "Yes."

"But the final challenge isn't controlled by just one Pokémon. All the large Pidgeot coordinate the challenge…"

He explained the last challenge once again.

As he spoke, everyone's eyes widened in disbelief.

"Dodge all the Pidgeot's attacks perfectly for three whole minutes? Really, Lin Feng, you're joking, right?"

"All Pidgeot? That's over ten! Can anyone actually clear it?"

Everyone glanced nervously at the rows of Pidgeot behind him.

They all looked more intimidating up close.

The first stage of the challenge had already been tough.

In the second stage, two Pidgeot attacked simultaneously, and trainers had to endure for a full minute. Those who had tried it exclaimed that the difficulty had increased tenfold.

Dodging two Pidgeot attacks at the same time was nearly impossible, let alone striking them within a minute.

Now, all the Pidgeot would participate for three full minutes.

"Lin Feng really intends to use Gardevoir?" someone asked, worry written all over their face.

"Of course," Lin Feng replied calmly.

He had brought Gardevoir. Who else could handle it?

"You can't use Talonflame? It's fast. Gardevoir is beautiful. How can you let her face such a huge challenge? She might get hurt, right?"

Coincidentally, Talonflame had also followed, curious about why Lin Feng had released Gardevoir.

The person pointed at Talonflame, their eyes pleading.

People naturally feel protective toward things they consider precious.

No one wanted to see Gardevoir attacked by Pidgeot.

Talonflame had proven its speed in the Youth Cup, but even it would be challenged by this many Pidgeot.

"Charma?"

Talonflame hesitated, glancing at the Pidgeot, and quietly slipped behind Gardevoir.

It had no confidence in dodging that many attacks.

Lin Feng chuckled lightly.

If you knew Gardevoir's true power, you wouldn't worry.

He glanced at his group members and said confidently:

"Don't worry. I've chosen Gardevoir for everyone. She can easily handle the final challenge and provide a reference for clearing it."

"Anyone can record it on their phones and watch repeatedly."

The crowd exchanged looks. They weren't sure what to say at first, but as soon as Lin Feng finished speaking, everyone pulled out their phones, ready to record the challenge.

"Gardevoir…"

Amid this tense atmosphere, Gardevoir floated to the center, surrounded by Pidgeot.

"Go, Gardevoir!"

Cheers erupted from the crowd.

Seeing Gardevoir in the middle, the Pidgeot grew serious and focused.

"Pidgeot!"

"Pidgeot!"

They spread their wings, whipping up a fierce gale that enveloped Gardevoir at the center.

The wind they produced was precise, swirling only around her.

Twenty-one Pidgeot flapped in unison, generating Tailwind that slowly stirred the clouds above, darkening the sky.

The world seemed to roar; sky and clouds merged into one.

From a thousand meters up, Wutong Town where the Pidgeot surrounded Gardevoir looked like a towering column of wind, with howling gusts within.

Within it, a graceful blue figure stood firm against the storm, her gaze calmly assessing the Pidgeot around her, betraying only a hint of concern.

A careful observer would notice that Gardevoir's dress remained perfectly still despite the violent winds.
