Lin Feng froze in place, stunned, unable to process what had just happened.
He looked around.
Thanks to the walls surrounding the area, Miltank couldn't have seen Giratina's actions. The three Beedrill hiding in the hive hadn't witnessed anything either. After all, in less than a second, who would even notice that a barrel of honey grape wine had gone missing from the Cow Shed?
Yet…
Lin Feng took a deep breath.
Staring at the spot where Giratina had just appeared, he couldn't help but grumble.
"No! What kind of look was that just now?!"
The way Giratina had looked at him felt as if it were staring at an ordinary creature. If that had been normal, he wouldn't have thought anything of it. After all, Giratina was born between light and darkness, a god of the Reverse World. And he… was just an ordinary orchard owner.
But…
The difference was that he had been standing inside the Cow Shed, and yet Giratina had brazenly taken his barrel without even saying a word.
At that moment, Lin Feng found it oddly amusing.
Thinking back, Mew was still the better of the two. Mischievous though it was, it had understood from the beginning that they needed to trade items.
Lin Feng shook his head with a helpless laugh. Even witnessing Giratina take his wine barrel so openly and confidently, he couldn't think of any immediate way to punish it.
Fight it?
Subdue it with force?
And then, like a teacher scolding a student, tell it, "Giratina, that's wrong. You can't steal my wine."
Well… not a bad idea in theory, but reality was harsh. Provoking a Legendary Pokémon could put all of Wutong Town, or even Wutong City, at risk.
For some reason, Lin Feng suddenly thought of Dragonite. When it had "delivered messages" under Mewtwo's control, had it felt the same way?
He sighed helplessly, glancing at the remaining barrels of honey grape wine in the Cow Shed.
Lin Feng returned to his room, rummaged around, and found two storage balls. He then went back to the Cow Shed.
He planned to store some of the honey grape wine about twenty barrels at least. He had no idea how much water Giratina could drink, but it must be a lot. What if it was like a drunkard, drinking a barrel a day?
His Gardevoir would still need honey grape wine too. At least this would be enough to brew wine for Gardevoir and the other Pokémon to drink until next autumn. That way, the Mipu fruit trees in the new orchard could fully ripen.
"Such a miser. Not even a little reward. I used to feel sorry for it a lonely dragon trapped in the Reverse World. Now, I guess it deserved to be controlled by Hoopa and pinned against the wall in the movie," Lin Feng muttered as he approached the shadow where Giratina had appeared. He filled the two storage balls, finally feeling some relief.
Now, Gardevoir, Mewtwo, and the other Pokémon would have wine for the winter.
After complaining, Lin Feng prepared to leave the Cow Shed, storing the two balls of wine.
But before he could take a step, a chill swept over him, and the area around him darkened suddenly.
Lin Feng froze, instinctively looking down.
In the brightly lit Cow Shed, the ground suddenly seemed swallowed by a massive shadow.
The shadow grew larger, until it completely enveloped his body.
He swallowed hard, murmuring under his breath.
"No way… did it hear me?"
He stiffened and turned his head, startled by what he saw.
Sure enough, Giratina, emerging from the shadow, was right in front of him.
This time, things were different. Previously, it had been over ten meters away, casually grabbing a barrel and walking off.
But now, its massive face loomed directly in front of him.
Yellow, collar-like rings circled its long neck. Its eyes were icy. Its head was enormous.
This was Lin Feng's first reaction upon seeing Giratina again.
His second thought: its eyes were terrifying. Even the first time he had seen Mewtwo, its gaze had not been this frightening.
Unlike before, this Giratina seemed to appear in its Origin Form. Its previously incomplete wings had become long, black tendrils floating behind it, one drifting casually along the edge of light and shadow.
At that moment, Lin Feng and Giratina faced each other in the Cow Shed.
His thoughts raced as he quickly activated the Scan Eye.

Seeing the number in the Affinity section finally eased Lin Feng's tension.
It seemed Giratina hadn't heard him after all. Otherwise, with its imagined personality, any trace of sentiment would have vanished immediately.
Lin Feng suppressed the tremor in his body, staring at Giratina's head, ready to greet it.
But before he could speak, Giratina turned and vanished into the shadow again.
The whole sequence was incredibly fast.
Lin Feng paused, then noticed a wooden barrel where Giratina had just been.
It wasn't the one it had just moved it was the barrel it had stolen and emptied before.
"Hey… it even knew to return the barrel," Lin Feng said, amused by Giratina's 'do it again' behavior.
He walked over to inspect it, using his phone's flashlight to peer inside.
It wasn't completely empty just a thin layer of honey grape wine remained.
Soon, though, his expression changed.
The wine seemed… spoiled?
