Hey, Realmwalkers.
I just wanted to leave a little note here because I know it's been a while since the last chapter. I'm currently taking a bit of a break from Book 1. I'm not abandoning it, I promise. I have absolutely no intention of doing that.
The problem is that I've reached a point where there are a lot of plot threads happening at the same time, and I need to figure out how they're going to connect, where they need to go, and how the timelines are supposed to line up.
And honestly... it's overwhelming me a little. 😭 I could force myself to keep writing and push out chapters just for the sake of updating, but I don't want to do that. I want each chapter to actually feel right before I put it out there. If my gut is telling me that something isn't ready yet, I'd rather listen to it than rush the story and regret it later. I
also don't have as much free time as I'd like, so trying to balance everything while maintaining the quality I want for COTR has been difficult.
There is a lot going on in my head and in my life right now, and Book 1 is already a lot on its own. I can only imagine that some of you might be overwhelmed trying to keep up with everything too. 😂 So I'm taking a step back. Not leaving. Not abandoning COTR. Just taking a breather so I can untangle everything properly and come back to the story with a clearer head.
I know waiting for updates can be frustrating, and I'm sorry if the longer gaps between chapters have been disappointing.
I really do appreciate everyone who's still here, reading, waiting, theorizing, and sticking with these characters and this story.
I'll come back to Book 1 once I figure out the roadblock I'm dealing with.
That's a promise. COTR isn't going anywhere.
