On the way back to the hotel, Su Ming could clearly feel Dong Qingyu crying.
The thing that just happened had truly scared her out of her wits.
But, maybe because she could feel his warmth, Dong Qingyu's body slowly relaxed, no longer so panic-stricken.
Back in the hotel room, Su Ming placed Dong Qingyu on the bed.
He had intended to leave, but Dong Qingyu suddenly hugged him tightly.
Their two bodies clung together, so close they could hear each other's heartbeats.
Su Ming didn't know how long he stood there, still hearing Dong Qingyu's quiet sobs.
"There, there, the bad guys have all been chased off by me. Don't be scared now."
He gently patted Dong Qingyu's back, offering constant comfort in a soft voice.
They slowly let go of each other, Dong Qingyu's little face still tinged pink, her eyes flaming red with tears.
Looking at the beauty before him, Su Ming felt his heart tremble involuntarily.
"Don't leave me. Stay with me, okay?"
