"Boom!" The dragon scales quickly dimmed.
The solid sword qi actually pierced through the outer layer of energy dragon scales, leaving shallow white marks on Gauss's arm.
A tingling pain emanated from it.
The white marks broke open slender wounds on his fair skin, with fine blood threads seeping from the blood vessels.

He quickly retreated several steps to put distance between himself and Adelle, hastily restoring his protective position with a quick cast.
