With a muffled sound, Chu Xiu fell to the ground.
Darkness enveloped him, and the air was filled with a faint, rotten odor, reminiscent of an ancient tomb left undisturbed for years.
"Snap."
A faint light rose beside Chu Xiu. It was an artifact he possessed that could emit light.
The bright light illuminated the dim underground, revealing a long corridor ahead of Chu Xiu, with an elevator at the end descending downwards.
At that moment, the mission prompt sounded.
[You have arrived at the target location.]
[Mission update: Find the person in charge of the shelter.]
"Person in charge?" Chu Xiu frowned slightly.
He could sense that the oxygen levels in the air were very low, most likely due to the shelter's ventilation system being damaged. It was hard to imagine anyone surviving in such conditions.
But... who said the person in charge had to be human?
