THIRD PERSON'S POV Sean was feeling upset as he saw Derry. He went to Lemon afterwards. "Wait, you saw who?!" Lemon exclaimed, "I said I saw Derry." Sean repeated what he had said. This time, he sounded annoyed. "Did you even get his autograph or a picture? He is famous, you know," Lemon said as he placed his hand on Sean's shoulder. "Then post it and caption it with Derry and SeaSalt in one frame," Sean said sarcastically, "I'm just kidding, but did he know it was you?" Lemon said in a whisper, "He just said I sound familiar" Sean replied, "Well your face sounds familiar indeed, *laughs*" Sean just gave him a side eye. "So do you plan on coming back to play SkyMaze?" Lemon asked with hesitation, "I am going back, but just gonna play low key for now." Sean replied.
"We are waiting for you, SkyMaze prince," Lemon said with a smile, that was Seasalt's nickname, the SkyMaze Prince being the only player who ranked 1 in all games since it was built, and of course, the SkyMaze King is Skyler.
Sean went home only to see his sister exhausted. Sean went to his room and started logging in to his account. He began playing, and just 5 minutes later, all the rank gamers joined in, and the rest of the gamers went back. Sean could hear his sister talking to someone on the phone, thanking SeaSalt in the air. Labluerinth also joined, and asked SeaSalt for a 1v1, and they played until 11 pm. In just 24 hours after Sean's comeback, the entire SkyMaze games are flooded with previous gamers.
At Skyler's office, "Sir! The games are flooded with players after SeaSalt's comeback!" his new secretary, Ramon, informed him, "What?!" Skyler immediately logged in and saw a logged-in info of SeaSalt, "He had been playing with Labluerinth, sir," Ramon informed him, "That name is very familiar… anyways, inform the planning department that they will meet SeaSalt and ensure his partnership with us". Skyler also noticed previous players, Atsirk and Neares. Cindy looked for SeaSalt, but always ended at the dead end. It always leads to nowhere. She started to analyze why SeaSalt, and then she found out SeaSalt is from the Philippines, "SeaSalt… Asin… Asean… Sean!" Cindy called his younger brother, because she knows Sean's nickname is Asean or Asin, in English it's salt, a nickname their father gave him, after their mother had been wanting salt during pregnancy, "Yes, ate?" Sean went down, "Are you SeaSalt?" Sean didn't show expression, "I'm Neares," Sean admits. Cindy checked, and indeed, there is a player named Neares, and came back after 4 years, though she knew Sean had another account for downloading games, but not his gamer name, not until now. "Neares? Why Neares?" She looked at his brother with full curiosity. After all, they had been so close and no secrets left untold with the two of them. "I played with my first name and last name… Sean Traes…" Sean spoke, with sadness in his tone, but Cindy just sighed and nodded. Cindy went back on, finding SeaSalt, "If you know who SeaSalt is… tell me," Cindy said as she turned around. Sean went back to his room, closing the door, he stared at his PC, looking at his player name, Neares, a name he tried to bury along with his memories of high school.
During his high school days, he likes playing games online, he was 14 and found out that there's a famous game and he immediately signed up, he tries to think of a name and his Teacher, Ms. Clara told him to combine his first and last name, and suggested Neares, because it is nearest to his name, it was like a joke but Sean still use it, he used it for 3 months, but then his father told him Neares is not really suiting him, but as his father send and pick up Sean from school, he introduced his father to Ms. Clara, he changed his name to SeaSalt as his nickname commemorating his mom's craving when she was pregnant with him around that time he had met Skyler, and 2 weeks later, his father was caught cheating with Ms. Clara at an abandoned house.
He despised the name Neares since then, a name he wanted to use as a game base, but he was furious when he saw how Ms. Clara said I love you to his father as if she didn't know he was a married man she was trying to be with. Sean was disgusted by it. It was around that time when Kristina confessed, and Sean rejected her. After all, Ms. Clara was her older sister, Ms. Clara was fired from her job, and Sean never saw them again. Though Kristina and Sean remained friends. Sean went to school, and he saw Lemon, who was busy with the assignments. He looked at it from behind and just smirked at Lemon's wrong answer. "Lemon! Sean is mocking your assignment," Carlson said. Carlson is their classmate and the school heartthrob; he had become famous because of his talents in singing, dancing, and sports. "I'm not mocking, it's just he made a mistake on a calculation" Sean explained pointing at Lemon's mistake, which Lemon change immediately as soon as he realized, Carlson silenced out of awkwardness, Terence stepped in, in a sweet feminine voice he spoke, "Maybe because Sean is an Asian that is why he immediately saw the mistake, most Asian's are good at math solving…" Terence explained confidently, and most of their Asian classmates glared at Terence for such remarks. "Oh, right, Sean is an Asian… what is your nationality again?" Daniel asked another classmate of theirs, the school jock, the basketball team vice-captain, and varsity player. Sean sighed heavily, "I'm Filipino…" Sean explained. "Oh my bad… Filipinos are good in English… well, it is nice that you don't have the accent, Sean…" Terence spoke innocently, placing his hand on his chin, "Well, aren't you so smart, Terence…" Carlson praised Terence, and Terence just giggled, and Carlson patted his head affectionately. "More like racist," Lemon whispered to Sean, and Sean just rolled his eyes. Carlson, Terence, Daniel, Ben, and Henry all came from a private boys' school from elementary school to grade school; all of them are mostly western, the African-American students call the five the Vanilla boys, the Asian students call them white Cereals.
They are mostly hated but adored the same time, it just the thorn among the roses, Terence, a soft boy who only runs his mouth most of the time, and nobody can say anything because, he is friends with Carlson the School Heartthrob, Daniel the school Jock, Ben the school's top 1, and Henry the school president, so they can't do anything to the overly protected Terence, even the girls who tries to confess to the boys can't do anything. Terence also envied Sean, because Sean is one of the top 3 most recommended artists in school, giving the most amazing plates and designs. Together with Ben and Henry, who ranked first and second in the said title. "Yeah, all he does is run that bitchy mouth," Sean also whispered back, the entire day Terence kept looking at Sean's move. Which is being with Lemon the entire day.
