Scarlet's POV
Perfect. Eleanor is finally gone.
Vanished after that delightful spectacle at the Serpent's Kiss official race. I didn't need to be there to know it would end in flames; some chaos you simply savor from a distance.
And now the thorn in my side has been plucked out. The triplets saw her for what she truly is—a freakish little enchantress playing with powers she shouldn't touch. They'll be disgusted. Repulsed. They'll finally see they need someone of proper breeding and ambition by their side. Me.
But where are they?
That's the infuriating part. I've had people looking everywhere. Their penthouse is empty. Their company is bleeding value by the hour, and they're not there to stop it.
It's not like them. It's… inconvenient.
My father's summons was a cold command, as usual. I stand before his massive desk now, in his sterile, powerful office. He doesn't look at me, he examines a data-slate.
