Chapter 238 - CHAPTER 238:Outrageous

The results of the investigation were already clear Moyu was a rogue cultivator who had appeared in Konoha only days ago, without allegiance or recorded origin. Yet from the moment he entered the village, his strength had forced even the Hokage's hand, earning him the title of Jōnin.

Titles meant little, however. What mattered was power and Moyu's power had already drawn attention across Konoha. His two disciples' victories days earlier had only fanned the flames of admiration surrounding his name.

Hyuga Hiashi's expression hardened as these thoughts sank in. But what followed froze even him. He saw it the subtle ripple in Moyu's eyes, the slow bloom of a red light that twisted and deepened until the unmistakable pattern of the Eternal Mangekyō Sharingan spiraled open.

That shape... that power.

Hyuga Hiashi's heart trembled. For years, the Hyuga had ruled alongside one rival the Uchiha clan. Both families had once shared dominance in Konoha, each guided by a bloodline born from the eyes. But with the Uchiha erased, the Hyuga believed themselves the last to inherit ocular supremacy.

And now, before him, Moyu stood bearing an Uchiha's cursed legacy one not merely awakened, but eternal.

The veins at Hiashi's temples bulged as he glared. "Sharingan... and not just any. Eternal Mangekyō."

Moyu smiled faintly, as if reading the disbelief bleeding from his opponent's eyes. "You finally noticed. I should tell you my Mangekyō isn't bound by lineage. I can wield the power of any Mangekyō Sharingan. There isn't one whose ability I can't use."

Hiashi's disbelief turned to cold fury. "Ridiculous. You think you can control the eyes of Uchiha Itachi or Shisui as your own?"

But before he could move, the air warped. Black fire erupted across his robes, licking upward like a living shadow. The searing agony struck instantly Amaterasu. The inextinguishable flame that devours until only ash remains.

Hiashi's body twisted violently, his chakra flaring to tear free of the black fire's grasp. Even as he suppressed the flames, space distorted again the spiraling void of Kamui threatened to draw him in whole.

He broke free with a surge of chakra, barely escaping the pull. But fear tightened in his chest. Amaterasu... Kamui... these were separate Mangekyō powers, and Moyu had just used both.

"Impossible..." he muttered, trembling. "This... this monster... he truly can use them all..."

If he delayed any longer, Moyu would unleash Shisui's technique Kotoamatsukami, the godly illusion that reshapes will itself. The thought alone made Hiashi's blood run cold. To lose his mind and become Moyu's puppet... that was a fate worse than death.

Across from him, Moyu advanced slowly, each step measured, calm, and lethal. "You look terrified, Hiashi. Where's that pride of the Hyuga patriarch now?"

Hiashi clenched his fists, panting, body scorched, vision trembling under the weight of Moyu's eyes.

Moyu's gaze flicked over him, cruel amusement sparking at the corners of his lips. Then he stepped forward and drove his foot hard into Hiashi's abdomen. The Hyuga patriarch's body flew across the street, slamming into the wall with a deafening crack before collapsing in a heap.

As Hiashi struggled for breath, Moyu's shadow loomed above him.

"Now you understand," he said quietly. "I warned you not to provoke me. And yet you still came."

He tilted his head slightly, crimson eyes glowing with amusement and cruelty alike. "So tell me, Hiashi... do you still believe I'm just another Jōnin?"

Hiashi's lips trembled, blood running down his chin. For the first time, genuine fear clouded the Hyuga leader's eyes. The legend he thought he understood had just become something far worse something beyond comprehension.
