"Ah..."
"What's this inexplicable emptiness and loneliness in my heart?"
As Lumina watched Herta's starship depart, she sighed, feeling a pang of emptiness and loneliness.
[ Looks like you've been completely ensnared by Herta. ]
[ So, how long until you completely succumb to corruption? ]
Just as Lumina was feeling empty and lonely after Herta's departure, the dormant System, which had been as silent as death, suddenly reactivated.
"Corruption? It's just a farewell between close friends. Why would that have anything to do with corruption?" Lumina retorted, rolling her eyes at the System's comment.
[ In your eyes, Herta is your best friend, your close confidante. But have you ever considered what you are in her eyes? ]
"That's simple. She wants to be my big sister, my mother, or something like that."
"But I'll never let her get her way."
"At most, if I'm in a good mood, I might indulge her for a while."
Lumina tossed her hair and spoke with casual indifference.
[ Hehehehe ]
The System remained silent, simply typing out "Hehehehe."
Misunderstood by Herta, misunderstood by the System, misunderstood by all sorts of people.
Ah... another day of misunderstandings.
Lumina, used to it by now, immediately silenced the System again.
"But then again, this thing..."
Lumina lowered her gaze to the "key" around her neck, reached out to grasp it, and her lips twitched involuntarily.
This thing feels like a bizarre version of a chat app.
Shaking her head, Lumina tapped the key with her small hand, concealing it from view.
This key is quite the treasure, isn't it? It can send messages, make calls, project holograms, and even teleport across vast distances—roughly equivalent to a single Warp jump of the Astral Express.
For Herta, creating such a complex device must have been an immense undertaking.
Yet she gifted this arduous creation to Lumina as a farewell gift. Lumina's initially hollow heart was instantly warmed by Madam Herta's kindness.
A moment later, Lumina snapped back to reality, glanced at the Astral Express in the distance, and returned to The Reverie Hotel.
With her farewell to Herta complete, she still had to say goodbye to Robin, Acheron, Black Swan, March 7th, Stelle, and others...
"Hmm... why does it feel like the busiest thing I've been doing on Penacony is saying goodbye to all these beautiful girls...?"
Shaking her head, Lumina dismissed the thought.
Well, that's just what happens when you have too many friends.
I can't exactly gather them all in one group chat and announce, "I'm leaving," can I?
She walked to The Reverie Hotel, returned to her room, shattered the Memoria, and entered Penacony.
Robin just finished the Charmony Festival and dealt with the Sparkle incident. She's probably handling official business at Dewlight Pavilion.
As for March 7th and Acheron, they're likely at Dreamscape Reef, paying respects to the Nameless.
With so many people there and the unique setting, it's best to find Robin.
After pondering for a moment in the Golden Hour, Lumina locked onto her target.
She strode off, once again heading toward Dewlight Pavilion.
I've lost count of how many times I've been to Dewlight Pavilion on Penacony. It feels like I've been here more often than when I'm chasing after beautiful girls...
Lumina mused inwardly, though this time her visit to Dewlight Pavilion was indeed for official business.
Without further hesitation, Lumina's figure gradually vanished into the bustling street.
