Nimo stared at her own hand, fascinated and slightly terrified. "Like never happened to me or never happened to anyone in your last life?"
"The last one." Sunshine replied firmly. "I don't know what to call this superpower. But it's a big world so who knows what else is out there. Hopefully, you will not transform into a rabbit."
Nimo covered her mouth with her other hand, studying the way the light glinted off the tips of the claws. "Don't scare me. If I turn into a rabbit, Phillip will grill me over his fire and eat me for lunch. Let's focus on the big world thing. And I don't know how the nails work. It just... happens when I tense up....I have to practice I guess."
"How sharp are they?" Hades asked, his tactical brain already whirring. Maybe after the apocalypse, if Nimo had no plans to go back to the army, they could keep her on as a bodyguard with a fat salary.
This way, she would always be close to Dwayne as well. It was a win-win.
